Motorola Droid Razr :: Touchscreen Unresponsive During Incoming Call?
Dec 12, 2011
This has only happened a couple times, but is really annoying when it does. The phone will be idle, not in use, and I will receive an incoming call. When I go to swipe the unlock/answer screen, the touchscreen is completely unresponsive and I have to let the call go to voice mail. I can't figure out what is causing it, but it periodically happens once or twice a week.
i dont believe i have seen this mentioned so if it has i will close my own threadanyway about 20% of the time maybe less i will get a call and it is ringing but the screen is off. i have to hit the wake button and then it shows the call as
I having phone go to silence mode by itself lately. I set "call out and ring " in system setting- acceessibility menu. I also set Vibrate and ring in System setting- sound menu. But sometime it Vibrate and Ring got unselected by itself.
I have a Droid X on Verizon. From time to time, the touchscreen becomes completely unresponsive. The "real" buttons work, but the touchscreen does not. I can't even turn it off, so I need to remove the battery to reboot it. This seems to be the only solution.
A couple times Ive pulled my phone out of my pocket and go to unlock it, and it wont accept any touch inputs. Only way to get it to work is to reset the phone.
I really like and enjoy my Droid Pro. I do experience an occasional annoyance, however. It seems now that after updating to System Version 3.8.7, the End Call button will sometimes have no effect. I know it registers being pressed, since it turns red, but it doesn't end the call.
First let me start by saying I had the RAZR and I used Smart Actions quite a bit to control certain functions. I then got the MAXX because well I wanted it.. and its massive battery. So, I updated to 6.12.173 and went to set up a smart actions and found that I could not find the Incoming Call Trigger. Now I had this bult on the orginal RAZR already, and I had updated the phone so I went back and it is mssing from their as well.
I have a Sony Ericsson Aino(u10i) handset. It has the following problem:-Touchscreen goes blank during an incoming call. hence i have to slide open to answer the call. but otherwise other media functions on touchscreen works. I also have the latest software update on my phone. Kindly let me know what could be the problem.
Since purchasing the Samsung i-780 in July 2008, I have had to change the motherboard three times and I am still having problems today. The phone is not stable and I frequently experience incoming/outgoing call failures and touchscreen failures. I do not even load my phone with any additional softwares and I do not use it for browsing internet, and yet the software and motherboard is not stable. The frequent malfunction of this phone has caused a lot of problems and inconveniences to my business trips. Also it is embarrassing when my business partners find out that my expensive phone is not working. This is my first and last Samsung phone.....
On asha 300, incoming calls can be answered via the touchscreen. How do I disable this behaviour? When I dig out the phone from my pocket, I frequently accidentally drop the call because the phone does not require the swipe gesture before accepting touchscreen input for incoming calls! Is it possible to set the phone to always require the swipe gesture? If not, then is it possible to set it up so that only the physical buttons can answer/drop calls?
I just got a CLN Razr a few weeks ago (came from a Bionic) and love the phone. One question that I can't seem to find an answer for though. I put the phone in vibrate mode and text, emails will vibrate. However, incoming calls will not vibrate, just silent. I checked the sound settings and Silent mode is set to vibrate. Any ideas on how to set the incoming calls to vibrate?
I have my phone # associated with Google Voice such that when someone calls my Google Voice number ... it rings my iphone and my landling. I have configured GV (just like a lot of other GV users) to make me press 1 to take the incoming call.Â
This worked wonderfully on my iphone 4s (IOS 7.x). But there is a problem with either iPhone6 or IOS 8.XÂ ... now the problem ...Â
- When I pickup the call on the cell ... GV asks me to press 1 (like it always does). I press 1 ... No acknowledgement. I can hear the DTMF tone but it does not get registered.
- When I pickup the call on my landline ... I am able to press 1 and accept the incoming call.
- My first thought was there is a bug in IOS when the phone is in the locked screen ... but no ... even when I get the call with the phone unlocked ... it will not register any of the DTMF keys
- To test this I added my wife's iPhone 4 (not 4S) running IOS 7.1 to my GV account. I was able to answer the call by pressing 1.Â
I have had this problem since the new update. I see it the most when I am typing on the phone, the lower half of the space bar does not work, when i press it the phone vibrates as if I touched it but I don't get the space in the text, I have also seen it in the media player when I cant move the bar. it is as if the section at the bottom of the screen above the touch buttons doesn't do anything anymore, the phone senses that that part is being touched and vibrates but it does not do what it is supposed to do when touched in that location.
I have a Nokia 5800 XM (RM-428 v31.2.101.263.04) and would like to enable auto-unlock touchscreen during incoming call. It is quite annoying to have to use touchscreen unlock slider on the side and then press "Answer" to answer any incoming call.
Has anyone else noticed a crackling noise (like bad reception / interference) when placing calls? I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). I start to think I must be old (I'm not) and losing my hearing (I'm not) but then I just realize it's herI don't know if it's because usually when I make a call I just unlock the screen and make the call and it was trying to re-start any data sleeping modes and such or if it's something else...
Frequently when I am using my bluetooth (I use more than one Motorola BT Oasis and Motorola H710) and when I end the call the Razr does not drop the call until I wake the Razr up.
This is my first "smart" phone and I have a question that (I hope) has a simple answer. The phone produces sounds when e-mails or text messages come in as well as for phone calls, and I want it too. Except at night. Is there a way to set the Bionic so that ONLY an incoming phone call produces a sound?I have an elderly mother and need to receive an emergency phone call. However, I don't need want the phone to wake me up any time an e-mail or text message arrives. Sleep mode allows calls to come in but there is no sound.
I have only had the Turbo a few weeks. I have turned on a call answer vibration somehow. My wife's doesn't do it. I cant figure out what I turned on. Need turning the vibrate pulse off. Its when swiping to answer incoming calls only. I have vibrate turned off under settings.
Is there any way to get notifications, sound, led or both, when I'm on a call? I know messages (text, email) are getting to the phone when I'm on a call but I don't know unless I'm looking at it.
When I am on a phone call and want to wake my screen, how do I do it. Nothing I do seems to work except pushing the power button and while it wakes the screen it also hangs up the call.
Was this feature removed from calendar events? I use it frequently and it doesn't always automatically pick up the number+meeting code from the appointment but is generally pretty good. So the last few call it wasn't working and I decided to try and add it manually but can't enter it. Is this a feature that isn't included in the Motorola software or was it removed from JB?
Is there a setting that would allow the volume to be adjusted while in a call without taking the phone away from my face. the volume key should not lock out when the screen turns off during a call.
I have had a lot of trouble with my phone, I make a call and it connects with the party. But they say I am connected but they can not hear me and I can not here them! Also I do not here any ringing to the other party. If I reboot the phone it works, but after an hour or so I have to do the same thing again..... (reboot).
Downloaded ICS on July 13th. Since then, at least 2 times (possibly more if I was away from my phone when it happened), my phone has randomly started ringing without any incoming calls, alarms or calender appointments set, emails, messages, etc. The only way I could make it stop is to shut the phone down. The volume of the ringing isn't as loud as my set volume, but there is no way to silence it aside from shutting down the phone. Never did it before the system update. I'm not positive if it happens at the same time each time, but it was around 4:17 PM yesterday when it did it.
Why does my Razr Maxx go to lock-screen in the middle of a phone call? All my past androids stayed in an 'awake' condition while actively engaged in a call. Then, when the proximity sensor was triggered when you removed the phone from your face, the screen would light-up, the phone screen woudl be present, and you would simply end the call. Now, when I remove the phone from my face I find the lock-screen, so I must first unlock it before I can end the call. I have searched for a settings to fix this and cannot locate what I need
When unplugging my MAXX from the PCs USB port both in Mass Storage and MTP mode my ringtones will return, but the phone call vibe and ring setting does not re-check.
