This has only happened a couple times, but is really annoying when it does. The phone will be idle, not in use, and I will receive an incoming call. When I go to swipe the unlock/answer screen, the touchscreen is completely unresponsive and I have to let the call go to voice mail. I can't figure out what is causing it, but it periodically happens once or twice a week.

i dont believe i have seen this mentioned so if it has i will close my own threadanyway about 20% of the time maybe less i will get a call and it is ringing but the screen is off. i have to hit the wake button and then it shows the call as

It seems now that after updating to System Version 3.8.7, the End Call button will sometimes have no effect. I know it registers being pressed, since it turns red, but it doesn't end the call.

I then got the MAXX because well I wanted it.. and its massive battery. So, I updated to 6.12.173 and went to set up a smart actions and found that I could not find the Incoming Call Trigger.Now I had this bult on the orginal RAZR already, and I had updated the phone so I went back and it is mssing from their as well.

The phone is not stable and I frequently experience incoming/outgoing call failures and touchscreen failures. I do not even load my phone with any additional softwares and I do not use it for browsing internet, and yet the software and motherboard is not stable. The frequent malfunction of this phone has caused a lot of problems and inconveniences to my business trips. Also it is embarrassing when my business partners find out that my expensive phone is not working. This is my first and last Samsung phone.....

When I dig out the phone from my pocket, I frequently accidentally drop the call because the phone does not require the swipe gesture before accepting touchscreen input for incoming calls! Is it possible to set the phone to always require the swipe gesture? If not, then is it possible to set it up so that only the physical buttons can answer/drop calls?

I put the phone in vibrate mode and text, emails will vibrate. However, incoming calls will not vibrate, just silent. I checked the sound settings and Silent mode is set to vibrate. Any ideas on how to set the incoming calls to vibrate?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my phone # associated with Google Voice such that when someone calls my Google Voice number ... it rings my iphone and my landling. I have configured GV (just like a lot of other GV users) to make me press 1 to take the incoming call.Â
This worked wonderfully on my iphone 4s (IOS 7.x). But there is a problem with either iPhone6 or IOS 8.XÂ ... now the problem ...Â
- When I pickup the call on the cell ... GV asks me to press 1 (like it always does). I press 1 ... No acknowledgement. I can hear the DTMF tone but it does not get registered.
- When I pickup the call on my landline ... I am able to press 1 and accept the incoming call.
- My first thought was there is a bug in IOS when the phone is in the locked screen ... but no ... even when I get the call with the phone unlocked ... it will not register any of the DTMF keys
- To test this I added my wife's iPhone 4 (not 4S) running IOS 7.1 to my GV account. I was able to answer the call by pressing 1.Â

I have had this problem since the new update. I see it the most when I am typing on the phone, the lower half of the space bar does not work, when i press it the phone vibrates as if I touched it but I don't get the space in the text, I have also seen it in the media player when I cant move the bar. it is as if the section at the bottom of the screen above the touch buttons doesn't do anything anymore, the phone senses that that part is being touched and vibrates but it does not do what it is supposed to do when touched in that location.

I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). Since then, at least 2 times (possibly more if I was away from my phone when it happened), my phone has randomly started ringing without any incoming calls, alarms or calender appointments set, emails, messages, etc. The only way I could make it stop is to shut the phone down. The volume of the ringing isn't as loud as my set volume, but there is no way to silence it aside from shutting down the phone. Never did it before the system update. I'm not positive if it happens at the same time each time, but it was around 4:17 PM yesterday when it did it.

Then, when the proximity sensor was triggered when you removed the phone from your face, the screen would light-up, the phone screen woudl be present, and you would simply end the call.
