View 6 RepliesI have a Droid X on Verizon. From time to time, the touchscreen becomes completely unresponsive. The "real" buttons work, but the touchscreen does not. I can't even turn it off, so I need to remove the battery to reboot it. This seems to be the only solution.
View 13 Replies View RelatedThis has only happened a couple times, but is really annoying when it does. The phone will be idle, not in use, and I will receive an incoming call. When I go to swipe the unlock/answer screen, the touchscreen is completely unresponsive and I have to let the call go to voice mail. I can't figure out what is causing it, but it periodically happens once or twice a week.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI really like and enjoy my Droid Pro. I do experience an occasional annoyance, however. It seems now that after updating to System Version 3.8.7, the End Call button will sometimes have no effect. I know it registers being pressed, since it turns red, but it doesn't end the call.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had this problem since the new update. I see it the most when I am typing on the phone, the lower half of the space bar does not work, when i press it the phone vibrates as if I touched it but I don't get the space in the text, I have also seen it in the media player when I cant move the bar. it is as if the section at the bottom of the screen above the touch buttons doesn't do anything anymore, the phone senses that that part is being touched and vibrates but it does not do what it is supposed to do when touched in that location.
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy touchscreen has stopped working. There were no error messages. It was intermittenent for about one hour before it stopped completely. At first I could turn it off and turn it back on again. It would work again for about 5 minutes then become unresponsive again. I am unable to turn it off even now. I cleaned the screen, it wasn't dirty. I've updated to iOS 5. I restored to factory settings and its the same issue. It hasn't had a bang or anything.

After breaking my phone screen (iPhone 5s) I took my phone into a phone shop in town to get the screen replaced. After getting it home I realised that the screen becomes unresponsive after about 5 minutes of use.

I have a Sony Z3 and out of the blue yesterday the touchscreen became completely unresponsive. I have restarted countless times (with power & volume up button), fully charged, given it 24 hours and have just tried a repair using Sony Bridge.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe touch screen on my iPhone 6 randomly becomes unresponsive. The home button and all the other buttons work, just not the touch screen.
It has happened about 20-30 times already since yesterday morning. It either gets stuck for 10-20 seconds or does not respond until I turn it off and on. Even after shutting it down and turning it back on it still occurs randomly. I've tried restoring it and it still happens.

My torch is 3 months old. As of Sunday morning the track pad and touchscreen has become unresponsive. It also crashing every once in a while for no appearent reason. It has not been dropped or exposed to water. So far I've tried battery pulls and a restore through the desktop manager. Which has obviously not fixed anything.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've a severe problem with my Nokia C7 phone. The phone is unresponsive to any touch on the touchscreen. I tried to power off the phone, extract the battery, but when I try to power on, It shows the PIN request screen, but I can't introduce any code because the screen keyboard is not working. I tried to remove the SIM card, and power on the phone. Now it shows the home screen, but the display is again unresponsive. The physical buttons works for a while, but after a few minutes the phone hangs permanently. The only way to shut off the phone is removing the battery.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter using the HTC sensation for almost a month. I have observed the following issue which only HTC can answer.
1) Random Reboots
2) Touch Screen unresponsiveness (Rather a dead screen)
Most of the people complain about the touch screen being unresponsive. Whereas for me the touch screen goes dead and I have to do a hard reset every time the screen goes dead.
I factory reset my phone and during the process of signing in, agreeing to T&C's etc, a strange problem started occurring - the touchscreen became super unresponsive (had to press something three of five times for it to respond), however, at the same time, the phone would quickly vibrate on touch multiple times, but again, not actually do anything. Moreover, a weird blue text box started appearing around the options I touched and I can't swipe down to access the normal settings menu.
And to top it all off, if I long hold the power button to force restart/power off, it just won't do it. (tried the old "turn it off and on" trick to see it'll do the trick)
Everything was all normal until this point, had my phone for a couple of months, haven't dropped it or anything.
I recently bought a Nokia 5230 in june 2010. It worked really well for one month. Yesterday i started experiencing unresponsive touchscreen problem. The touchscreen didnt respond and the Small white menu (with the music, web, share icons ) kept popping up if i moved my phone a little bit..(it really annoys)I did a Soft Reset as well as a Hard Reset Nothing worked out. The touchscreeen works after i lock and unlock the phone.

Doesn't really seem to matter how big of an update -- I can't pull down the status bar, task switching appears frozen, etc.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my Motorola Droid for about 3 months now, bought it new from an overstock dealer on ebay, sealed box and clean MEID.
The phone has been working PERFECTLY up until now, where now the touch screen suddenly does not respond at all. I can see the phone is working fine; the keyboard works, volume and power button works, I can see all the icons running, the time changes, everything. Taking out the battery never works. I did a hard reset and had the touch screen working a few times, but it's really hit or miss. It eventually reverts back to not working.
Again as I said, I have tried hard resets, safe mode, taking the battery out and letting it sit, took the SD card out, formatted the SD card, everything.
This all seems highly unusual, I have craddled this thing since i've gotten it to be sure I do not damage it. It is in pristine condition in every respect. I have no way to replace it since I am with an independent phone company.
I've just started getting a problem where a certain area of the touchscreen doesn't register the input. For instance, I cannot get the letter "d". As I move my finger very slightly I will get either "s" or "f", but not "d" inbetween. However if I hold down and slide across, the d will register, at least sometimes. Surprisingly I have problems with the same letter in either portrait or landscape mode, which is a different place on the keyboard.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an ongoing problem with shortcuts becoming frozen or unresponsive. This has happened numerious times and to many different shortcuts. The shortcuts simply do not work. Short press, long press, nothing. I can't delete them either. If I go to the app drawer, the app for the frozen shortcut launches normally.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI came home last night and discovered my Droid 2 was completely dead. Removing the battery and putting it back in had no effect. I placed it on the Motorola docking station and tried to boot up - nothing. However, at 2:00 in the morning I noticed the DROID was displaying a bright solid white screen. It would not respond to any action, so I removed the battery again. The battey was warm to the touch. Puting the battery back in this time dis allow meto boot back with the home page looking fine, so I'm guessing the first time the battery was dead. I placed it back in the docking station, shut down the display. When I woke up the next morning the Droid would not respond to the power n button. Once again I removed the battery to force a hard reboot. After putting the battery back in it wouldn't boot, but I noticed the screen was not black, but instead it was a dull lighted blueish gray. I removed the battery again and let the DROID sit for a couple hours. After this I put the battery back in and the DROID did boot up and everything seemed to be working. While in the docking station, charging, and after several hours the DROID was once again a dull lighted blueish gray. It would not respond to any action. I pulled the battery again which was warm to the touch. I let the DROID sit overnight with the battery removed. Today, it has been functioning correctly for at least 8 hours, 4 of those hours in the docxking station displaying time and date as usual.
What am I dealing with (software, hardware, battery)? The battery seems to be OK and charged. I'm using the SystemPannel APP to monitor CPU history and do not see anything unusual for the day. Regretablly, SystemPannel looses it history after one of these lock ups, so I can't see what happened just before the lock up. Can someone suggest another analysis tool that would catch the last moments before the lock up on the SD card? In its current state, I have no faith the phone will be working when I really need it.
The following has been happening since before the latest update, and continued after. My phone will randomly reboot itself (there doesn't seem to be any correlation with what I'm doing) and then hang at the rotating red logo.If I push the power button the display will turn off, but after that no buttons have any effects. If I plug the phone in the display comes back on to the unlock screen, but the touch screen is also unresponsive. The phone is definitely still running though, as my bluetooth headset will reconnect and time-based notifications will still happen (I have the phone set to beep every half hour). If I leave the phone sitting for a significant length of time I will notice it getting warm, and it will eventually reboot again and behave normally.Battery pull does nothing.Wiping the cache partition does nothing.I've done a factory reset before, and this makes the problem go away for a while, but it comes back.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis has happened to me about three times. I always manually press the power key to turn off the display and lock the phone before placing it in my pocket. Three times now, I have removed the phone from my pocket and found the soft keys lit up but the screen is black. The only key that responds is the power button... nothing else works. Every press of the power button toggles the soft key backlight, but nothing else. The only remedy I have found is to pull the battery.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen my Bionic is on the charger that came with the phone, the touchscreen acts totally erratically when trying to use it. If I'm trying to type a text message, it randomly hits letters, backspaces, etc. Same thing for trying to scroll and select stuff. However, the phone charges just fine. When I use the charger that came with my OG Droid dock, the phone is fine. Touchscreen works perfect. Same goes with the Moto car charger I have.
Assuming it was a bad charger, I spoke with Motorola chat online and they agreed to send me a new charger. I received it today (although it seems it's a different type of charger. It's not the USB cable with a wall adaptor, but an old school charger where the cable is permanently attached to the wall adaptor) but the phone seems to be doing the same thing (although it's not as severe as it was with the original charger that came with the phone).
cliq mb200 touchscreen no longer works at all its a *** w/o it
