I really like and enjoy my Droid Pro. I do experience an occasional annoyance, however. It seems now that after updating to System Version 3.8.7, the End Call button will sometimes have no effect. I know it registers being pressed, since it turns red, but it doesn't end the call.
View 4 RepliesThis has only happened a couple times, but is really annoying when it does. The phone will be idle, not in use, and I will receive an incoming call. When I go to swipe the unlock/answer screen, the touchscreen is completely unresponsive and I have to let the call go to voice mail. I can't figure out what is causing it, but it periodically happens once or twice a week.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have noticed while on a call the screen will go dark, and when I go to end the call it does not light back up so I can see the end button. I find that I have to push the power button to get the screen to wake up so I can see the end button.
View 2 Replies View Relatedtoday i just upgrade my xperia mini pro SK17i to build number 4.0.2.A.0.58, after this update, my back and menu button begin to be unresponsive or lagged significantly, the backlight of these two button also not turn on.the responsiveness of home button is not affected at all, so I'm not sure what is the source of the problem here.for example, let me demonstrate here:
1. unlock my phone - by slide to right > press the corner shortcut - animation is smooth > press the mail icon - open mail and I can imediately scroll down with no lag > press back button...wait up to 3 second and then it go back to home screen or worse it not registered anything, is it like I didnt press the back button

what can make something like this happen? if this is software related action 1 and action 2 should be the same right? this is like some software component after update didn't detect the capacitive button correctly or something.there is option to repair this phone but it mean that I will loose all things in main memory, I will use this option as the last resort, but for now I would like to hear other opinion about this.other annoying stuff after this update:
- the APN setting was deleted so I must enter it again
- before update there is mcafee viruscan and mcafee wavesecure, after update it change into mcafee viruscan and mcafee security, and the mcafee security is not compatible with viruscan!! so I must delete viruscan, not that im using it tho, but still.
- there is some carrier spesific app that can be deleted but after boot restart showed up again
For those few of us who actually use the RAZR to make phone calls, ;-) have you noticed a change in the sound volume of the ear speaker? On mine, it seems to have become quieter, and even with the volume all the way up I can't hear callers as well as before.

In the beginning it was once or twice a day but this weekend it has been an all day event. The phone is fairly useless like this. It occurs with all applications as well as text and BB messenger.

The shortcuts simply do not work. Short press, long press, nothing. I can't delete them either. If I go to the app drawer, the app for the frozen shortcut launches normally.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI came home last night and discovered my Droid 2 was completely dead. Removing the battery and putting it back in had no effect. I placed it on the Motorola docking station and tried to boot up - nothing. However, at 2:00 in the morning I noticed the DROID was displaying a bright solid white screen. It would not respond to any action, so I removed the battery again. The battey was warm to the touch. Puting the battery back in this time dis allow meto boot back with the home page looking fine, so I'm guessing the first time the battery was dead. I placed it back in the docking station, shut down the display. When I woke up the next morning the Droid would not respond to the power n button. Once again I removed the battery to force a hard reboot. After putting the battery back in it wouldn't boot, but I noticed the screen was not black, but instead it was a dull lighted blueish gray. I removed the battery again and let the DROID sit for a couple hours. After this I put the battery back in and the DROID did boot up and everything seemed to be working. While in the docking station, charging, and after several hours the DROID was once again a dull lighted blueish gray. It would not respond to any action. I pulled the battery again which was warm to the touch. I let the DROID sit overnight with the battery removed. Today, it has been functioning correctly for at least 8 hours, 4 of those hours in the docxking station displaying time and date as usual.
What am I dealing with (software, hardware, battery)? The battery seems to be OK and charged. I'm using the SystemPannel APP to monitor CPU history and do not see anything unusual for the day. Regretablly, SystemPannel looses it history after one of these lock ups, so I can't see what happened just before the lock up. Can someone suggest another analysis tool that would catch the last moments before the lock up on the SD card? In its current state, I have no faith the phone will be working when I really need it.
The following has been happening since before the latest update, and continued after.My phone will randomly reboot itself (there doesn't seem to be any correlation with what I'm doing) and then hang at the rotating red logo.If I push the power button the display will turn off, but after that no buttons have any effects.If I plug the phone in the display comes back on to the unlock screen, but the touch screen is also unresponsive.The phone is definitely still running though, as my bluetooth headset will reconnect and time-based notifications will still happen (I have the phone set to beep every half hour).If I leave the phone sitting for a significant length of time I will notice it getting warm, and it will eventually reboot again and behave normally.Battery pull does nothing.Wiping the cache partition does nothing.I've done a factory reset before, and this makes the problem go away for a while, but it comes back.

Three times now, I have removed the phone from my pocket and found the soft keys lit up but the screen is black. The only key that responds is the power button... nothing else works. Every press of the power button toggles the soft key backlight, but nothing else. The only remedy I have found is to pull the battery.

Also on sbsettings when i adjust brghtness it changes, but when I turn the phone to sleep and wake it up, it's back to the old brightness.
I have an htc one max and my power button is broken, it has 0 response or feedback the last few days. at first it was stuck with the power down options continuously popping up, but not its just completely unresponsive, the button itself isnt broken or pushed in but their is just no feedback at all, i had to even get an app so i can unlock and lock my device. and my phone died and i had it on the charger for a few hours and nothing still a black screen..dead. so i connect it to my computer and it just keeps connecting and disconnecting before it can even install the software to recognize it.

I locked it and put it on my bedside table, when I went back to it I found that my sleep button was very hard to press. I figured it might be temporary and have waited until now. It is now completely unresponsive and I can no longer press it at all. Both of the water damage indicators are white from what I can see and the actual device has very minimal damage from regular use.

I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). For a while now my home button has been sporadically unresponsive - I'd press it a couple times and then it'd work. This morning however, it won't respond at all, which means once I enter an application I can't exit it at all. I can't reboot it by pressing the Home/Wake buttons together either, since obviously the home button isn't working, and I'd rather not restart it every time I want to do something.
I think this is more a hardware problem than anything else and means I might need to get my phone replaced, but it's out of its 1 year warranty period. I kept dropping it, even with a case on.

It takes several presses in for it to work, and I will often have to press it in quite hard. I am unsure of why this has happened, because I have not dropped the phone or let water or other substances into it. It could perhaps be dirt? I have tried several battery pulls.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThere is a lag when trying to wake the phone up. I will press the power button and it will take almost 4 seconds for the phone to wake up. This doesn't happen often, but often enough that I have to do a soft reset several times to correct the problem. Even then, it's still not 100% responsive. I'm on the latest DP and still having this issue.
