Sep 19, 2011After the motorola update my headphone jack no longer works. When I plugin any type of headphone or cable for my car the phone plays sound though the speaker phone. It was working before the update.

Aug 12, 2011Ive had my Cliq for about 1 1/2 years, I used it every day for a few months, put it away, now the touch screen doesn't work at all. Managed to get 2.1 installed on it by using the keyboard to navigate through everything. Managed to do a factory reset to see if that is the problem, but it still does not work. I have not used this phone probably for 8 months, but before I stored it it was working perfectly fine. Was just wondering if maybe this is a software problem that occured with the update, or if it is just something internal. My waranty time period is over though, I was just going to try to sell this on Ebay since I have switched cell phone company to Verizon. .

Nov 15, 2011So after a close friend's wedding reception, a bunch of us went back to someone's house to keep the festivities going.As I exited my friend's 2001 Subaru Outback (base curb weight 2860lbs), my nearly 2 year old Cliq fell out of my dress pants pocket onto the street without me knowing.After a lot of partying, most of my friends left in the same Outback, but I crashed in the spare room. When I was leaving the next day, I realized I lost my phone and looked outside for it.It was right where we had parked the car the night before, but face down with the back cover detached and laying a foot away.When I picked it up and turned it over, the whole screen was shattered, but still intact save a few small pieces of glass missing around the corners.It looked pretty bad. I took the chance of trying to turn it on, and to my surprise, it still worked! I put a piece of clear packing tape over the screen, and I've been using it for the past 2 days.Can I get a new phone? I'll attach a video of me using the destroyed one as soon as I get home tonight and have access to a regular camera.

Jun 4, 2014My phone has been acting up since installing the latest iOS 7.1.1. The back lighting for the screen works intermittetly. I have been able to get it to come back on by turning the phone off and back on, but not every time. Once I enabled VoiceOver through Siri and turned ScreenCurtain On and Off. Other times, just clicking the home button and a few times on a notification that would turn the back lighting on. The phone seems to want to respond to turning the back lighting on, but does not do it every time it should. It usually takes 10 - 30 minutes of me working with it to get it to come back on. The phone has not been dropped and is in an Otterbox case.

Jan 8, 2011The phone pairs and connects but when calling using the car handsfree nothing happens and I cannot receive calls. When this happens the car radio controls freeze and I have to switch the radio off and then on again. It all used to work fine before under 1.6. Trouble is I've got a long 18 months left on contract using the X10 mini which I now regret buying after being talked into it at the Phones 4 U shop. I've tried my ancient SE K700i and it works perfectly, so it's not the car.

Aug 22, 2012I have found that whenever I try to take a picture, it looks like it worked, but then I click on the image that appears in the corner and it shows the last picture that I took before this one (from over a month ago). The picture never actually saves.
I have tried turning it off, removing the battery, then turning it back on. I have tried deleting old pictures to clear up space (the phone says that I have over 5GB of space). I have tried giving the camera extra time before trying to view the picture.

Jul 15, 2012I am not at all happy with ICS. To me, the upgrade to ICS is a nothing more than a bunch of pretty colors and a few new animations. In actuality, however, I think that the upgrade delivered little in terms of improvements. In fact, I wish I could undo the upgrade and go back two weeks, to a time in which I felt the Razr Maxx was virtually flawless and was the best phone I ever had.Elsewhere in this owner's forum I have written about the way in which business contact names are now scrambeled in the contact list. Others are having problems with battery life, overheating, poor navigation, etc. However, the biggest failure of the ICS upgrade, as I see it, is the loss of the ability to view Flash encoded videos in either the native browser or in Dolphin.
With all of the hype about the upcoming release of ICS, why didn't anyone warn the customers that Flash would no longer work with ICS and that this upgrade would essentially hobble their device? Motorola did mention this fact buried in a pre-release notification, but it was easily missed:Due to Adobe's discontinuation of Flash development, Flash Player is no longer preloaded and is not available for download from Google Play to this device. Existing installations of Flash Player may or may not play Flash video properly. Alternatively, the new HTML5 standard is supported for Web video.

Jul 17, 2012Recently my Razr Max phone updated to ICS, and since then, all JAVA apps no longer work, even downloaded Chrome and enable java scripting. Brought to Verizon tech support they checked and confirm it was enable but when trying any site that uses java, comes up with message unable to find Java Plugin. Before update, all my websites worked ok with Java, including a Citrix using Java.

Aug 5, 2011My Droid X updated yesterday and now the audio no longer works when I make phone calls. The person I call or who calls me cannot hear my end of the conversation. It will only work if my phone is on speaker. Has anyone else experienced this or know a fix? I have taken out the battery to restart it, but that did not fix the problem. Verizon had no solutions besides to send me a refurbished phone replacement.

Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?

May 29, 2011looking around here a couple days ago I saw talk about the update rolling out 'soon', and I decided to check my phone and see if it saw any updates. And it did, when I hit check for system updates it finds the one they were looking for testers for a couple weeks ago, only after I hit download (I've done it 3 times already) and it downloads, I hit install, and my phone powers off, it goes to the screen with the little box, and an arrow, and and android guy, and the progress bar only gets about half way before it suddenly reboots its self, and I'm still on the same version, with an update telling me it's available and if I want to download it when I go back into the about phone in settings

May 2, 2012I was a part of the testing group and could not get my phone updated through that. Now it is officially out and yet again, I cannot update my phone. Here is the problem once again: I plug my phone into my computer and start Motorola Software Update, which is up to date. It says it is going to update the software on my phone. My phone turns off and a screen comes up on my phone saying it is updating the software. A few seconds later it says the update is complete, and my phone reboots exactly the same. I have tried to update my phone like 8-10 times on different computers, etc. and nothing changes.

Jun 2, 2011have been having some issues with my Cliq 2 for awhile. A few weeks ago it "ate" almost all my contacts and I since then it wouldn't let me add new contacts. I got a message about not being able to add contacts without an account but all acounts were signed in.So when i saw a new software update was available I was excited and hoping iI downloaded and installed it. Walked quickly through the family room features and then started getting repeated error from voice command (which I hadn't even tried to use). When I pulled the battery because I couldn't stop the error from coming up the phone will no longer start up. It is fully charged and will power up, give me the motoblur graphic and get to the hot pink 'work together' logo and freezes there. I'm totally lost as to what to do. Is my phone dead? What can I do to try and fix it?

When I go into the calendar, it shows me a black screen with two options:"Showing events since Aug 23 2011. Tap for more.""Showing events until Aug 23 2011. Tap for more."Choosing either of those will take me to the Agenda View showing the most current events.But, If I choose to the month view, the date defaults to December of 1969. I would then need to press "Today" so that I can view the current month and year. I have searched around and looks like this has happened on the droid forum, but did not say whether if or how it was solved.

Jul 30, 2012The screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works.We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration.Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?
