I have noticed that after the recent 2.2.2 download all the clock widgets on my Ciq 2 would not update in a timely manner. I tried a few of those. This includes the Motorola Date/Time widget. Many times the time displayed is running 10-15 minutes behind.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have tried a couple of different digital clock widgets and some (but not all and not always!) do not update the time unless you put the phone to sleep and then wake it again. I am running no task killers and do not have an excessive number of programs running at any one time.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried various clock widgets and since upgrade to GB, the time does not update, the clock on the top status bar will have the correct time and the widget will show like 2 hours ago. If I tap the widget, it refreshes and shows the correct time, otherwise it's stuck. Anyone have a flip clock widget (ala HTC Sense clock), preferably with weather that will work with the DroidX and GB? Will the new mr6 update in mid-august fix this? Analog clocks seem to work, so my guess it's some sort of update/refresh service in GB is not working correctly.

If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually?There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?

And it did, when I hit check for system updates it finds the one they were looking for testers for a couple weeks ago, only after I hit download (I've done it 3 times already) and it downloads, I hit install, and my phone powers off, it goes to the screen with the little box, and an arrow, and and android guy, and the progress bar only gets about half way before it suddenly reboots its self, and I'm still on the same version, with an update telling me it's available and if I want to download it when I go back into the about phone in settings

Here is the problem once again: I plug my phone into my computer and start Motorola Software Update, which is up to date. It says it is going to update the software on my phone. My phone turns off and a screen comes up on my phone saying it is updating the software. A few seconds later it says the update is complete, and my phone reboots exactly the same. I have tried to update my phone like 8-10 times on different computers, etc. and nothing changes.

View 14 Replies View Relatedhave been having some issues with my Cliq 2 for awhile. A few weeks ago it "ate" almost all my contacts and I since then it wouldn't let me add new contacts. I got a message about not being able to add contacts without an account but all acounts were signed in.So when i saw a new software update was available I was excited and hoping iI downloaded and installed it. Walked quickly through the family room features and then started getting repeated error from voice command (which I hadn't even tried to use). When I pulled the battery because I couldn't stop the error from coming up the phone will no longer start up. It is fully charged and will power up, give me the motoblur graphic and get to the hot pink 'work together' logo and freezes there. I'm totally lost as to what to do. Is my phone dead? What can I do to try and fix it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Cliq updated to 2.1.5 through T-mobile.Up until this weekend, I had no problem getting Data pushed through whether I was in my area or my boyfriends area (his is non 3G and he does NOT have WiFi) ...I was at his place this weekend, and my Data ONLY pushed through when I was in a WiFi area and I had WiFi enabled.he problem is, now that I'm home IN A 3G AREA my Data STILL only pushes through when WiFi is enabled. From all the info that I've read, the latest version is 1.1.30. I've tried doing a system update from the phone, but it tells me that I am up to date.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that since the Gingerbread update, occasionally (perhaps three or four times over the past week or two) a stock widget or two disappears from my home (or other) screen. This never happened with Froyo. This morning my stock Bluetooth widget was gone and I had to reinstall it. I am almost religious about pressing the Power button while on my home page to blank the screen before placing my phone in its holster. That has always prevented inadvertent button presses on the screen.

When I go into the calendar, it shows me a black screen with two options:"Showing events since Aug 23 2011. Tap for more.""Showing events until Aug 23 2011. Tap for more."Choosing either of those will take me to the Agenda View showing the most current events.But, If I choose to the month view, the date defaults to December of 1969. I would then need to press "Today" so that I can view the current month and year. I have searched around and looks like this has happened on the droid forum, but did not say whether if or how it was solved.

View 15 Replies View RelatedThe screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works.We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration.Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?

My iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
Anyone notice that when using Factory widgets for the time and weather that the time doesn't update? It work fine before GB. I uninstalled it and then tried the moto and Verizon widgets the work fine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo prior to this update you could copy more than one item to the clipboard. In other words as you copied, things would be added to the clipboard one row at a time. When you then tried to paste, you had the option to select which row to paste which save me a lot of time - I could paste a link I had shared yesterday for example without hacing to go back, find it and copy it again. Now that option is gone in 1.1.30 - all I see is an option to Paste , which inserts the last item copied.

I actually want my widgets to update WHILE I am roaming. Usually people don't want their widgets to update while roaming, because data fees abroad are very expensive. However, the provider I use,'Telfort', uses the 'KPN' network to serve their clients. Because of that, my Nokia thinks I am roaming, but in reality, I am not.
Because of this, my background widgets stop updating their selves after a period of time, and I have to press 'content to online mode' a few times everyday, which is annoying.
how I can get my widgets to keep automatically updating while roaming ?

Some will half work ei: Doggcatcher podcast widget, will not change album art but the play pause button works. Google Play music will not load, Verizon Wireless data usage will not load and the Google search bar will not work.
I have cleared cache, restarted the phone, power cycled . Both gave different results. The power cycle really killed the widget.
Since updating to 5.0 (T-mobile G900TUVU1DOB1), the widgets installed do not update. The Samsung clock widget being the main one for me. I have tried several clock widgets since and they are all the same.Is this a 5.0 error, Samsung issue, or other?
View 1 Replies View RelatedBefore updating my iPhone 4S's software to 5.1 the Bluetooth connected to my vehichle's Bluetooth radio and worked perfectly. Now if I receive or make a call, the Bluetooth connects and rings through, but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. Also, my music will no longer play through the vehicle (which worked perfectly before the update). The song title shows up on the vehicle's radio but no audio. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth but nothing seems to help.
PS On a side note, this update made an amazing difference on my battery life on my iPhone 4S. I used to charge my phone every night and have about 40% remaining at the end of the day...now it's about 85% left at the end of the day with the same amount of usage!

Well like most I have updated to belle on my N8 today. Unlike some others, my update went pretty smooth over all. One thing I have noticed is all RSS feed widgets are no longer available to be added to the home screen.
