View 1 RepliesFrom the way it appears the option to set the screen timeout to "never" on the AT&T version of the Lumia 920 is missing. Reports are that the option does exist in the Windows Phone 8.Why would this not be a user choice on the AT&T version of the 920?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst let me start by saying I had the RAZR and I used Smart Actions quite a bit to control certain functions. I then got the MAXX because well I wanted it.. and its massive battery. So, I updated to 6.12.173 and went to set up a smart actions and found that I could not find the Incoming Call Trigger. Now I had this bult on the orginal RAZR already, and I had updated the phone so I went back and it is mssing from their as well.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi want to set the screen timeout like the way i had it on the original droid. while plugged in, the screen stays on, while unplugged, it only stays on for however long i have it set to. yes, i know how to set it, but i cant seem to find the option for plugged in and unplugged.also, another question. is there an app or widget i can download for free that is alot like the clock/alarm on the original droid, where is shows the weather and auto dims. the clock on the d4 is garbage.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed the OTA 2.3.6 update last night and now my phone never shuts the screen off automatically. I've tried resetting the timeout period, but no luck. Something is keep it awake after the update.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst Maxx had the display screen timeout set to 2 minutes. Whether plugged in to charger or not, after two minutes the screen went BLANK (locked), and stayed such until I unlock it.Due to issues with it automatically redialing the last number (did my voice mail 51 times before I powered it off), got a replacement. This one after the 2 minutes, the screen would DIM, but would not go BLANK, but only when plugged in to the charger. Off the charger, 2 minutes, screen goes blank.Verizon has been no help on this. This phone kept losing the data connection, so they have sent me a 3rd... and it does the same with regards to the screen going blank.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a trouble. After connection to TV and disconnection via hdmi cable the screen of photon is never turned off, only manual or after rebooting. Stock ROM 198_7, root, motorola's hdmi cable, TV panel.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIntermittenly the display screen timeout resets to NEVER. Nothing that I do (or at least so I think) causes this. I don't know it until I notice that the battery is dangereously low. Don't have any apps that may cause this that I know of.
Used to have a similiar situation with the Original Droid where it would reset to 30 seconds.
Does this happen to anyone else and if so how did you get around it? Or is it yet another bug in the operating system? Happened pre-GB also. Doesn't seem to be more or less frequent with GB.
Right after I have rebooted my Droid my sound continues when the screen times out. However, somewhere along the way something changes and when the screen times out the sound goes too.
I can't force the sound to stay on when the screen times out after that; unless I got through the tedious process of shutting down and rebooting.
If marathon mode is set and screen timeout is set after you power down the unit and then power it up again it keep marathon mode set but looses the screen timeout selection. You have to go in and set screen timeout again before you start the run. I think this is a bug. I saw someone mention it in another posting. I wanted to bubble it to separate thread so a Moto eng could see it and hopefully fix it in the next firmware release.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have the timeout for my screen set for two minutes. this is normally good as my major use is checking e-mail or surfing the web. if i am watching a Internet video longer than 2 minutes or using navigation the xoom shuts off and i have to press the power button and then play (if i was watching a video) to continue for another two minutes until it shuts off again. here's my question.. am i missing something in settings or do i just have to adjust the screen timeout time every time i want to use an app that doesn't require me touching the screen for 2 minutes?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAny way to decouple the display timeout from the screen lock? In other words, when the display times out after 30 secs., I would like to just touch the display to wake it up rather than going through the 2 step process of unlocking the screen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I broke down and experimented with the mirror mode today. That was awesome. What wasn't awesome is that the screen timesout and that's it for the audio. So if I want to listen to my music, do I have to set the screen timeout for never? Is there no specific HDMI mirror mode setting for this? I looked around and couldn't find one.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe camera app on my Z3 times out, and the camera app closes and returns me to the main screen, after 30 seconds. Sometimes that isn't long enough -- I'm waiting for a specific thing to happen that I want to photograph, like the start of a sporting event, and reopening the camera app is a pain.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI want to set up my 5800 to work in the car as a music/navigation/handsfree device. I created a Car profile with ring volumes and other stuff set up just the way I want it. However, I cannot make the screen not to timeout and turn off. Basically, the automatic screen lock is deactivated and shouldn't get into way. When I plug the aux cable into the phone I select the Music Stand accessory which is the only one that has a Screen control setting. It is set to On, from the default Automatic. However, the screen goes black anyway, but the buttons stay lit.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had the G4 since it was launched and until now been very pleased. A couple of days ago it started to turn the screen on by itself every time it timed out or I pressed the lock button... Unless it's plugged into a charger. I've tried pulling the battery and uninstalling any recent apps I'd installed but to no avail. Annoyingly, by the time I got myself to carphone warehouse to get it sorted I was just outside my 28 days.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I bought my Icon, I noticed how there is no 'Never' option for when your screen times out. That option was on my 920 and it's a nice feature to have. Does 8.1 have the 'Never' time out option, or is it just the way it is on Icons, regardless of software version?

View 6 Replies View RelatedUpgraded from S3 to S5. I am very happy with S5 overall and have everything customized as I want except one issue. I cannot figure out how to get the lock screen to stop from turning off after 1 or 1..5 seconds. I hardly have time to use the fingerprint scanner because the screen turns off so quickly. I have tried turning off all power settings and have changed the timeouts everywhere else to 6 seconds to 1 minute but I cannot figure out how to extend the lockscreen timeout.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI just got my Icon from the store this morning, and am back at work now! The biggest issue I have now is I put it on my charging stand, and it works great. Unfortunately, the screen keeps timing out after a minute. I found under settings->lock screen that there's a setting for this. It looks like 5 minutes is as long as I can set this to. I was really hoping to have it stay on all the time while on the stand while I'm here at work. Especially with no glance or notification light,

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to ICS and being forced to do a FDR, I eventuallly realized my Smart Actions were no longer woking properly. I deleted them and was adding them back one by one. The ones that are not location-based work okay but I cannot actually get a location trigger to save. I press on Location, it shows me my one location I have set up right now, I select that one, press done to go back out to the smart action page, but the location value is not set. I tried clearing the cache, system and app, already but nothing changed.
I just realized I can set a location if I am not editing a sample action. Starting with a blank rule, it works but I still hae so save the action and then save the trigger.
