My Photon sees the network and allows me to enter a password, but then attempts to connect, scans again and boots me out. The message it says that the network is disabled.
View 2 RepliesI've been using Samsung S5620 Monte (S5620 Onix in Spain; S5620 Star 3G in Brazil) for a few days now. It's a nice phone, but I can't get WiFi to work in WPA2-PSK(AES) mode with my DLink DI-524 wireless router. I can get the phone to connect in open, WEP or WPA modes, at home and also in public wireless networks, but there's no way to get it to work in WPA2 mode (which is my protocol of choice).
My wireless router log keeps saying that the phone has associated and then immediately disassociated because “WPA retey failed”. The DI-524 is running with the latest firmware update (hardware code B4, firmware version 2.07). It seems to be a Monte protocol issue, since both my Nokia E71 phone and my Dell Vostro notebook can easily connect to my home wireless network using WPA2. Is anybody facing the same problem? Is there any way to solve it? Does Samsung intend to release a firmware update soon?
So about half an hr ago i got a prompt to update my phone to (45.2.5.en.US) and it installed successfully, then I had problems with WiFi and so restarted my phone, now when I try to access any app that requires WiFi it seems as though it doesn't read it. The browser works fine, but any other app doesn't.

When I leave home and return, I have to manually connect back to my home wifi. From what I remember, it used to do that all by itself and connect with any other network that I've connected to in the past automatically. It no longer does that. I'm not finding any answers on Google that work.

My curve 9300 was working fine connecting to routers and enabling a wifi connection but has now started connecting to router says the connection name at the top but the wifi symbol stays grey. I know this is not a problem with my router as have tried it on different ones in different locations still same result.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought an ATRIX 2 at end of October and have spent days trying to make WIFI connection work.I could get to internet via cellular 3/4 G but although the phone would show the WIFI network and know it was there it wouldn't connect.It would try and then say "Disconnected".Finally, through reading tons of blog entries on different sites, I pieced together a solution I wanted to pass on to others.I have an Airport Extreme router.It was necessary to enter the MAC Address from my phone into Airports setup using Airport Utility. Then I also had to explicitly choose a Radio Mode that did NOT include the "N" option. Most options are hidden (for some bizarre unkown reason) so when clicking on the Radio Mode field in Airport Utility Wireless Section, hold down the "Option" key (at least on MacBook...maybe Control on Windows, but then you prob don't have an Airport router).This brings up a bunch of Radio options not shown by default.Choose one with no "N". Then be sure the Enable Auto IP" is checked "ON" under the Wireless Settings/Advanced section.Once this was done, have full strength connection and blazing fast.

My Droid sees the network SSID and treats it as a WEP secured network, so it only provides me the ability to enter the WEP password and not the whole range of WPA2 credentials. I have tried pulling up all advanced options I can reach from the WiFi screens without finding a way to change this. I have ICS on the phone.

I am unsure how to connect my Blackberry to my personal wireless network. I do not have a lot of data available on my phone because I don't want my mom to have to pay more each month(BTW I'm 14 and even though I've had a Blackberry for three yeas I'm not a genius). When I Scan for Networks, my network pops up. When I click it, a message pops up saying," This wireless router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup. To connect using a PIN(which you Blackberry will generate). click next." When I click next it says," Provisioning Wi-Fi Profiles... Enter this PIN into your wireless router:........" and it gives me a time limit. I'm am unsure how to enter this into my router. In addition, is there a way to just manually add the network? If so, for either way, can someone please give me a step by step on what to do.

I beleive one problem caused the other - 1st i couldnt charge my batter in the wall so i wanted to see if it was the charger - grab'd my evo charger and still nothing so i pluged it up to the usb and my pc isnt recognizing the device. Drvers were already instaqll and i used the Moto Media Link to sync music and pic yesterday. Ive hardkey reset my phone, now its charging but still not getting anywhere with the usb connection.

now everytime i try to join it in my X6 it says invalid WPA preshared key. And i know i have and i used the right key for this. What could be the problem. Has this happened before? And in Destination, I tried setting that access point so that it uses WPA2 and also added the preshared key, but when i try to connect in WIFI manager, it asks me for that preshared key again even though I already set it up.

My friend has the aforementioned router. I can connect but get no data transfer. My tablet and my friends phones HTC incredible and og droid work just fine. We've done all the general troubleshooting and installed all updates still same problem a full connection but no data. I should note that my wifi works flawlessly in all other locations work home parents other friends etc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got my Lumia 1520 handy but when I tried to connect it to the local Wifi hotspot (WPA2 encrypted), it times out saying "Connection unsuccessful - No response from the network". I searched the net for solutions and based on those, I restarted the Wifi Router, my Lumia 1520. Also I did a factory reset of the device.
But still, it is unable to connect to Wifi hot spot.I also tried connecting with another Wifi hotspot (WPA2), but nothing good happened. My other devices like Surface, Lumia 1020 are able to connect to the same hotspot without any issues. There is no restrictions on no. of Wifi connection as I am broadcasting the Wifi from my laptop (Windows 8.1 Update 1) as a virtual wifi hotspot.

I have my device set for Wi-Fi to stay on only when plugged in (Settings > WiFi > Advanced > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep). (see pic #1) The goal being when the device is not in use the WiFi turns off to conserve battery and when I wake up the unit it automatically turns WiFi back on, scans for networks and auto connects to my preferred WiFi networks.Everything works great until the unit sleeps. When I wake it up WiFi never connects. WiFi is set to ON when you look under Settings but when you select the WiFi menu all it says is "Searching for WiFi networks" (see pic #2). Please don't tell me that there aren't any WiFi networks within range because I'm sitting 3 feet from mine now. I also gave it a good 10 minutes to scan, and even pushed the SCAN button.
The only way I can get WiFi to actually work is to turn off the WiFi then turn it back on. Only then will it actually scan for and connect to WiFi networks (see pic #3). Everything will work as intended until the unit goes back to sleep.It's not the end of the world but it is frustrating given it's a new phone. I can make it work by cycling the WiFi off & on or by changing the settings for WiFi to always stay on (even when sleeping).I already did a factory reset and did not install any other apps, not even system app updates found in the Play/Market.

It only works on wifi, but when connected through 3G UMTS, it says that there is not internet connection, and I'm pretty sure that there is internet connection available. Actually all other applications (Gtalk, Gmail, Browser, etc) are working fine with the 3G data, this is only happening with WhatsApp.
View 5 Replies View Relatedhow do I get the photon to get "charge only" mode when connecting the photon to a pc?I have 2 operating systems, 1 tablet with windows 7 professional 32 bit tablet pc, and 1 laptop with windows xp professional 32 bit.Some other people were saying as soon as they plug in their photon to their PC, they can drop down the notification menu from where the clock, signal indicator is and see this option. I do not have this when trying to connect - all it does is "charge" but I am able to make/receive calls this way.Both OS's do not recognize the photon, and there are no errors in device manager.I also did the OTA update to MR5 from sprint over wifi.Is there a link to the application or correct drivers I need for this? Also how can I test to see if this will work?
