I can't get this device to work behind a proxy server. When I connect the device to my computer (at work) it says it can't connect but there is a "proxy settings" button. I click it, I fill out the appropriate information, it doesn't work. I try several variations, it doesn't work. How to be able to successfully connect the device behind a proxy server?
View 12 RepliesAm I the only one that gets these errors everytime I connect? I just click "try again" on the first message, then I click past the second message and then it works, but it seems odd. I don't have anything special on my network, it's just a basic cable modem with a wireless router and my computer connects via wireless. See attached for errors
View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout six weeks ago I suddenly could no longer access the internet using Firefox or the default Browser on my LG 3. I just kept getting a message which said "The proxy server is refusing connections". I went to my local Sprint store and after two hours of their playing around with my phone, I was told that I could use Chrome - for some reason you did not get the message with Chrome - or I could reset my phone to factory conditions. Not wanting to reset, I have been using Chrome. I last used it on 11-24 and it worked. As of today I cannot get to the internet with anything. Chrome issues the same message now. I am unable to find any Proxy settings. I am running Android 5.0.1, Kernal Version 3.4.0, Build # LRX21Y, Software Version LS990ZVC.

Whenever I try to sync it, I get an error saying"Could not reach the server while attempting sychnronization". It doesn't matter if I am on WiFi or using the cell network. The only way to get it to sync is to log out and back in. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, but still have the same issue.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have never been able to check for updates from my home PC - I can sync songs etc OK, but ever since Day 1, every time ive connected, I get a message "The server is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. Come back later to check for updates"This is clearly not true, as I plug the unit into my laptop 2 feet away, and it has no problem connecting to the server.Both have identical MotoCast SW (1.2.9) and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, to no avail. It is now not even giving me error messages, and Motocast isn't starting up anymore when I plug it into my computer. I don't have wi-fi as that would involve having to buy a TV and various other unneeded things to get a wi-fi package, so I use a dongle for my internet. I am really unhappy about the service from Motorola and the fact that they've released a great idea before it's actually ready to be used.
View 13 Replies View RelatedThe way I understand it, the device is supposed to connect to the computer like a USB mass storage device and then autorun the motocast software, however there appears to be absolutely no support online for what happens if the device doesn't show up on the computer as a USB mass storage device. Mine completely fails to register with the computer other then to produce the BUH DUH sound that Windows makes when a USB device is connected or dissconected.
My computer is running Windows 7, I've tried rebooting the computer, installing motocast off the internet and rebooting, I've tried different cables, different ports, I've rebooted the device multiple times, nothing seems to work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedCan Anybody please tell me why my MOTOACTV doesn't like to connect to GPS? My distances and times are WAY off. I would estimate that 30% of my runs have connected. I tried today, with a clear shot of the sky without a cloud to be seen and it wouldn't work. I wasn't moving and have the MOTOACTV on my arm. I waited for 2 full cycles while it tried to connect. I am sick of it. The time is set correctly on the unit to Daylight Central Time. It is giving me the correct time. The portal doesn't seem to have the option for a Daylight Central Time. It should still work. I am really getting fed up of the chats with support, only to be told I need to call and have it taken care of. I even told Matt about this a couple of weeks ago. I got no response from him. What is going on with this? When it works, it works well. If this wasn't a gift, I would return it and hope for a better outcome with a new one (no receipt).

I was trying to send out an email today, and my iPhone could not connect to the server. I tried to re-connect multiple times, ultimately deleting the email account from my phone and attempting to re-install it. When I put in all the info into their respective fields and hit "next," all I get is a message that says "Exchange account verification failed." When I go through and save it anyway and try and update emails, it says that it cannot connect to the server. My IT dept. says no changes were made, and I've already tried a restore and restored from a backup, as well.I have no contacts, emails, or calendar on my phone!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a motoactv which works great, but when I try and connect it to a computer it doesn't connect properly. The initial connection via usb managed to install the USB Composite Device driver, but failed to install the Motorola Networking Interface and the Motorola ADB Interface. Nothing else happens. Whenever I connect or disconnect I do get the notification sound, but again nothing else. It does not even appear in my computer. I tried system restore to a previous point to remove the drivers and try again, but on the initial connection of the device exactly the same thing happened again. I have tried installing motocast but have had no results with that either.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi've searched and have tried everything possible.*connecting the device to either a PC or MAC, after having factory reset it multiple times, does NOTHING. device isn't seen, nothing mounts, nothing at all.i've tried:- uninstall/re-install motocast with device connected AND disconnected.- let win7 install drivers BEFORE motocast install (just plugging device in).- install motocast BEFORE letting windows install drivers (uninstalled everything, reinstalled motocast before plugging device in).- all of the above steps on both PC and MAC.- all motocast files/installs are of the latest versions directly from motorola's website.this is getting insanely annoying. is there something i'm forgetting to install? motocast includes the wireless and USB connectivity, correct?
*also, after installing motocast THEN connecting my device, the motorola adb interface driver attempts to install a second time but fails - it succeeds when installing motocast initially. i'm assuming this is where my issue lies as far as my computer seeing the device. when searching for the driver, though, i'm simply instructed to download motocast.
I alternate between wireless (bluetooth) and wired headphones. Today when I tried to connect my wireless headphones, a pop-up message appeared telling me to first disconnect my wired headphones. The problem is that I had no wired headphones connected. I tried connecting/removing the wired headphones, rebooting, etc., but I am still unable to connect the wireless headphones.
As a FYI, this started to occur at the same time I received a message telling me to connect my device to receive an update, but when I connect to my computer I get a message that I am up to date.
Every single time I connect my watch to the computer via USB cable I get this "Connection Error": "Your MotoActv device cannot connect to the internet if your computer requires a proxy to reach the internet, please click proxy settings." Then I click the "Try Again" button and it successfully connects. This happens every time without fail. It's annoying. Can that be fixed?

The MA detects the Sync but when I click on it it just says connection fails. The Sync requires that you enter a code so I assume this is the reason for the connection failure.

My Lenovo laptop did not connect either until another techy said look at LAN settings. I checked automatically detect settings on the laptop and was connected through to the Internet.I do not see a similar function on the phone and droid.
