When I run, the coach tells me that I have reached a mile and that that I ran it in 12 minutes and my average pace was 12 minutes... that makes sense (and yes I know I am slow ). However, when I reach mile 2, it tells me I ran it in 11 minutes and that my average pace was 11 minutes.I expected it to say average page 11.50 miles per hour so I can try and improve my average pace over the course of my run.

Interesting discovery during this morning's run - happened to flick the unit for a metrics update and, along with the other data, the audio coach announced an average pace that was actually the average pace for the whole run rather than for the current mile!All I need now is for the audio alert at the end of each mile to give me the average pace for the whole run and I am happy.
Oh, except that towards the end of the run the unit went weird on me (the voice announced in my ear that I had burned 4000 calories in 7 miles and then it stopped recording the distance I had run. It was raining but I think this is all connected to the sleeve of my running top swiping the screen and changing settings as I ran - hope so anyway!).
I've had a MOTOACTIVE for about a month now and I still haven't gotten to grips with the Pace & Power Zone settings. I could be wrong but to me it seems like they're just not working.In the Pace Zone settings the lower and upper limits are all set to meaningless values and I've tried a number of times to set them manually with no luck. Then the Power Zones Templates are completely blank and I am unable to set anything at all.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI searched this forum and didn't see anything like this and I was wondering if anyone else is having this issueI set up the C25K as a series of interval workouts (which btw is tremendous pain using the workout planner) and recently the coaching prompts have been coming on to tell me my time etc as they should but as soon as it finishes it is starting again. Sometimes it will do it 3 or 4 times in a row. It is very distracting but I need the coaching on so I know when to change intervals
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know that the audio coaching automatically advises you of your stats at 50% and 85% of your set (distance) goal while running.I could have sworn that previously I had the ability to set it to give status updates at a marked distance (0.5 mile, 1 mile, etc.) regardless of my distance goal. Am I correct, and that functionality is now gone? Or was I possibility using another setting or option, like intervals (I don't think so)?Please advise. I know I can do the shake/tap check any time, but it's so much more convenient to have the preset coaching.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI like the running Pace Zone Feature! It worked for me on the day I did a fit test. I ran 6 miles after the fit test and was able to take a glance at my watch and see the zone I was in. Very cool. I went to the website and tweaked my zones and saved a new template.I can't get the pace zones function to work since then. I'm sure it is operator error.

View 15 Replies View RelatedOn a run today I went down a spiral ramp under a bridge and lost my gps signal several times. I was wearing a footpod. I noticed my pace measurement slowed down from a 6 min mile to about 18 min/mi.
1st question...since I had a paired footpod shouldn't it have taken over to make the pace measurement more accurate in situations exactly like this?
2nd question... assuming the footpod was taking over, how accurate is it since there seems to be no way to calibrate the actual footpod. Is the data from the footpod constantly being taken into account and then integrated back into my final workout stats?
I have 4 zones setup in my pace zones: rest, walk, run, sprint.
I am trying to setup walk / run intervals at 2 minutes at my "walk" pace zone and 2 minutes at my "run" pace zone.
In the workout planner I am able to select the appropriate pace zone when setting up my interval workout, but the pace zone that I selected is not saved. I click save and re-enter the workout plan and the zones are defaulted back to my first zone of "rest."
Using my Garmin 305 I can glance at the watch at anytime (assuming it has found satellites) and see my current pace.How do i see my pace on my MOTOACTV without having to go though the process of starting a workout session?How on earth the Motorola QA department allowed the watch and web site to be released to the public in its initial state amazes me. (I am a software developer for a large company so do have some experience) even with the software fixes there are still a number of areas where the watch and site are poor. View 4 Replies View RelatedMy only concern is the battery. I'm not exactly what you would call a heavy user but usually look for about 3-4 hours screen time on an average. Mostly done by browsing the web, social media, A LOT of texting, a few YouTube videos and some Bluetooth streaming with my car AND my Moto 360.
So this things got a 3900 mah battery yet why does it feel closer to 2800. I understand that the device does have the higher resolution display and whatnot but do people not realize this thing has a 3900 MAH BATTERY?! Shouldn't that blow everything else out of the water? Like not even be close to any other phone. I switch between a Note 4 and the Turbo and I can get more screen on time with the Note 4 (5.5-6.5). Keep in the mind the Note 4 only has a 3250 battery (I think) and the same resolution display yet it's much larger. AND it runs touchwiz, something that destroys battery life.
In another thread various monthly data use amounts were discussed.I have an (grand fathered) unlimited plan, so data use is irrelevant.But I wondered what is the average monthly data consumption.This month is atypical for me at less than 200 megs so far. Usually it is more like a gig or more.What is your monthly data use?

Moto Photon is my phone All it keep saying is please wait,synchroniation in progress. I call customer service and they told me to reset my phone did that and reinstall the app but still no dice . Customer service said that the app feature for the phone was only available the razr and razr maxx. Did a google search but i'm still lead back here. View 7 Replies View RelatedI just tried to sync with my computer (Windows 7 with full admin rights) and after installing and attempting to sync for to iTunes the first time I recieved aMML has stopped working error that forced the shut down of the application and would not let me open it back up again.To troubleshoot I've tried:1) reseting MotoActv to factory settings4) rebooting again5) reconnecting/reinstalling MotoCastUnfortunatly after all of the above the application continues not to work / fails with the same error every time I try to open it (not even making it to the sync page anymore) making the MotoActv essentially unusable since it won't sync workouts or download music.
