Motorola Motoactv :: Pace Line Is Wrong On Portal
Apr 19, 2012There is something wrong with pace line on the portal. Please see screenshot below - I added both speed and pace charts and these should be in sync.

Jan 9, 2012I like the running Pace Zone Feature! It worked for me on the day I did a fit test. I ran 6 miles after the fit test and was able to take a glance at my watch and see the zone I was in. Very cool. I went to the website and tweaked my zones and saved a new template.I can't get the pace zones function to work since then. I'm sure it is operator error.

Mar 10, 2012I see people posting workarounds on how to create pace zones (as an example) so settings will stick....I can't figure out how to create them in the first place....where would I input the data? The drop down only has "my zone templates" - and is not selectable. Am I in the wrong place?

Aug 9, 2012When I run, the coach tells me that I have reached a mile and that that I ran it in 12 minutes and my average pace was 12 minutes... that makes sense (and yes I know I am slow ). However, when I reach mile 2, it tells me I ran it in 11 minutes and that my average pace was 11 minutes.I expected it to say average page 11.50 miles per hour so I can try and improve my average pace over the course of my run.

May 11, 2012I've had a MOTOACTIVE for about a month now and I still haven't gotten to grips with the Pace & Power Zone settings. I could be wrong but to me it seems like they're just not working.In the Pace Zone settings the lower and upper limits are all set to meaningless values and I've tried a number of times to set them manually with no luck. Then the Power Zones Templates are completely blank and I am unable to set anything at all.

Mar 31, 2012On a run today I went down a spiral ramp under a bridge and lost my gps signal several times. I was wearing a footpod. I noticed my pace measurement slowed down from a 6 min mile to about 18 min/mi.
1st question...since I had a paired footpod shouldn't it have taken over to make the pace measurement more accurate in situations exactly like this?
2nd question... assuming the footpod was taking over, how accurate is it since there seems to be no way to calibrate the actual footpod. Is the data from the footpod constantly being taken into account and then integrated back into my final workout stats?
Motorola Motoactv :: Pace Zones Not Saving In Interval Workout?
Mar 15, 2012I have 4 zones setup in my pace zones: rest, walk, run, sprint.
I am trying to setup walk / run intervals at 2 minutes at my "walk" pace zone and 2 minutes at my "run" pace zone.
In the workout planner I am able to select the appropriate pace zone when setting up my interval workout, but the pace zone that I selected is not saved. I click save and re-enter the workout plan and the zones are defaulted back to my first zone of "rest."

Jan 3, 2012Using my Garmin 305 I can glance at the watch at anytime (assuming it has found satellites) and see my current pace.How do i see my pace on my MOTOACTV without having to go though the process of starting a workout session?How on earth the Motorola QA department allowed the watch and web site to be released to the public in its initial state amazes me. (I am a software developer for a large company so do have some experience) even with the software fixes there are still a number of areas where the watch and site are poor. Jun 24, 2012Interesting discovery during this morning's run - happened to flick the unit for a metrics update and, along with the other data, the audio coach announced an average pace that was actually the average pace for the whole run rather than for the current mile!All I need now is for the audio alert at the end of each mile to give me the average pace for the whole run and I am happy.
Oh, except that towards the end of the run the unit went weird on me (the voice announced in my ear that I had burned 4000 calories in 7 miles and then it stopped recording the distance I had run. It was raining but I think this is all connected to the sleeve of my running top swiping the screen and changing settings as I ran - hope so anyway!).

Jan 25, 2012I've been trying to access support from Motorola about my device's inability to connect to the internet and create a Motocast ID. It is now not even giving me error messages, and Motocast isn't starting up anymore when I plug it into my computer. I don't have wi-fi as that would involve having to buy a TV and various other unneeded things to get a wi-fi package, so I use a dongle for my internet. I am really unhappy about the service from Motorola and the fact that they've released a great idea before it's actually ready to be used.

Jun 20, 2012I synced up my run wirelessly and on the watch it says it successfully completed. I sign on to the website, and I notice the new splash screen (portal update?) and my run is not on it. I can't even view the runs at all. Anytime I click on past runs, it just has those new screens telling me all the cool things portal can do.
Is this because of the updating? I'm on 1.7.3 N8, and new motocast software too.
I like my MOTOACTV, just want some type of clarity on problems. I'd rather see a "site down for a scheduled maintenance" than not being able to do anything on the site.

Jul 11, 2012Yesterday (4/10), I did a two mile walk, plus a few other short walks. When I got home, I went to the workout screen, and selected "sync workouts". When I looked at the motoactv later, it stated "sync complete!". The problem is: None of the workouts show up on the web portal for yesterday. I don't see a way to re-sync them on the device either. These were just simple "quick start" walks. I'm not doing anything complicated.
I saw there is another post about missing workouts, but it seems to relate to interval training, and I didn't immediately see a solution for my specific issue.

Jun 17, 2012Since the update I have not been able to login to my MotoACTV account. I tried to reset my password, but when I click the button nothing happens. I have tried doing this in Chrome, Safari and IE just in case.
