Jan 9, 2012I like the running Pace Zone Feature! It worked for me on the day I did a fit test. I ran 6 miles after the fit test and was able to take a glance at my watch and see the zone I was in. Very cool. I went to the website and tweaked my zones and saved a new template.I can't get the pace zones function to work since then. I'm sure it is operator error.

Aug 9, 2012When I run, the coach tells me that I have reached a mile and that that I ran it in 12 minutes and my average pace was 12 minutes... that makes sense (and yes I know I am slow ). However, when I reach mile 2, it tells me I ran it in 11 minutes and that my average pace was 11 minutes.I expected it to say average page 11.50 miles per hour so I can try and improve my average pace over the course of my run.

May 11, 2012I've had a MOTOACTIVE for about a month now and I still haven't gotten to grips with the Pace & Power Zone settings. I could be wrong but to me it seems like they're just not working.In the Pace Zone settings the lower and upper limits are all set to meaningless values and I've tried a number of times to set them manually with no luck. Then the Power Zones Templates are completely blank and I am unable to set anything at all.

Mar 31, 2012On a run today I went down a spiral ramp under a bridge and lost my gps signal several times. I was wearing a footpod. I noticed my pace measurement slowed down from a 6 min mile to about 18 min/mi.
1st question...since I had a paired footpod shouldn't it have taken over to make the pace measurement more accurate in situations exactly like this?
2nd question... assuming the footpod was taking over, how accurate is it since there seems to be no way to calibrate the actual footpod. Is the data from the footpod constantly being taken into account and then integrated back into my final workout stats?
Motorola Motoactv :: Pace Zones Not Saving In Interval Workout?
Mar 15, 2012I have 4 zones setup in my pace zones: rest, walk, run, sprint.
I am trying to setup walk / run intervals at 2 minutes at my "walk" pace zone and 2 minutes at my "run" pace zone.
In the workout planner I am able to select the appropriate pace zone when setting up my interval workout, but the pace zone that I selected is not saved. I click save and re-enter the workout plan and the zones are defaulted back to my first zone of "rest."

Jan 3, 2012Using my Garmin 305 I can glance at the watch at anytime (assuming it has found satellites) and see my current pace.How do i see my pace on my MOTOACTV without having to go though the process of starting a workout session?How on earth the Motorola QA department allowed the watch and web site to be released to the public in its initial state amazes me. (I am a software developer for a large company so do have some experience) even with the software fixes there are still a number of areas where the watch and site are poor. Jun 24, 2012Interesting discovery during this morning's run - happened to flick the unit for a metrics update and, along with the other data, the audio coach announced an average pace that was actually the average pace for the whole run rather than for the current mile!All I need now is for the audio alert at the end of each mile to give me the average pace for the whole run and I am happy.
Oh, except that towards the end of the run the unit went weird on me (the voice announced in my ear that I had burned 4000 calories in 7 miles and then it stopped recording the distance I had run. It was raining but I think this is all connected to the sleeve of my running top swiping the screen and changing settings as I ran - hope so anyway!).
Motorola Motoactv :: New Bug With Displaying Time In Top Left Of Screen
Jun 14, 2012This morning on my run I noticed that no matter what I did the time of day showed in the top left hand corner. It showed on the workout screen, on the settings screen, you name it. It wouldn't go away. In the attached screenshot that is showing time as well as "Workout" all combined into one. Can this be fixed Motorola?

Nov 6, 2011I have noticed at least one person has one of these.I got mine today at Best Buy. I saw the post that says it is compatible with Garmin accessories.I have a Garmin Chest Strap monitor that pairs with the device fine.However when i start a work out it connects and does NOT show any heart rate info.I have verified that the monitor works with Garmin 305 GPS/ Monitor.I tried changing the Batteries.Or do I have a faulty unit? I noticed someone paired a new garmin premium strap.Maybe older monitors don't show data even though they pair up with the MOTOACTV?

Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

Dec 1, 2012I have had problems with emails in my Microsoft Exchange account not displaying (completely blank body), not showing correct HTML content, and in some cases not showing the sender address. Now I don't know if it is inappropriate to say so on this forum, but I rooted the phone in order to uninstall the Moto email client, and install the stock ICS email client. Once I did that, none of my emails are blank, most HTML content shows correctly, and other quirky issues seem to have improved. But, the stock email client also does not have a search feature (big problem), you cannot swipe in the message list, and it's application icon does not show a badge for the number of unread emails. So it is a bit of a sacrifice to have to revert to the stock client just to be able to read my email. I have also tried TouchDown email and it displays all the Exchange emails fantastically, but it's look and feel is a bit crummy and it costs $20.

Nov 14, 2011If I am typing in any field where a separate typing box comes up (like "Talk" or typing an email, where you type, see a preview, and then hit DONE or something similar to go back to the point where you can actually send your email or your message, but not like normal SMS messages where you type and send it right away), I constantly get this weird bug.
I'll get like a double-click sound, and then if I keep typing, nothing appears in the preview box, although it actually does keep appearing in the actual message (which you can sometimes see behind the preview box). Also when that double-click sound occurs, signalling the beginning of the bug, the last couple letters I typed won't have entered properly at all.
Also is there a way to quickly turn off media sounds? I've tried to turn off all the sounds for keyboard clicking itself in Settings, but it still stays loud unless I turn down the media sounds, which I can usually only do if I'm actually in a media environment...

I restored the phone a couple times but I didn't help at all, i even went to AT&T but the guys couldn't help me much but they tried to. As I was searching I found the--Removed-- It gave a failed error and when trying to reboot, it gives and 0x1000 error.

Aug 23, 2011I frequently turn the Triumph sideways to use the larger keyboard (easier to press buttons). After the first few letters I press are displayed, I can hear the phone click to acknowledge that I pressed a key, but nothing is displayed on screen.Items of note:
-The audible click when a key is pressed but doesn't display is not the same sound as when a key is pressed and actually displays correctly on-screen.
-often, but not always, when the phone is turned upright, the missing key presses will appear after all as successfully typed in the display.This is my first smartphone. Is this a problem with the gyro-rotation logic? Is this a common problem with phones in general? Is it a symptom reated to scren protectors?
-I have not removed any screen protector meant to be permanent to the phone. I believe there was a bluish film meant to be removed (which I did - at least therewas definitely one over the camera lens)
-I did carefully apply a ZAGG Invisible Shield universal screen protector. NOTE: It was not quite as large as as the Triumph screen and thus the top edge of it lies slightly into the front-facing camera lens and the sensor on the upper right.

Apr 25, 2012This has been frustrating me for the past 3 hours. I just opened my MotoActv today. I plugged it into my computer, installed Motocast, and set up my Motocast ID. I can sign into mymotocast.com just fine, but cannot sign into motoactv.com. It gives me the message "Invalid credentials. Please try again."
