Jan 9, 2012I like the running Pace Zone Feature! It worked for me on the day I did a fit test. I ran 6 miles after the fit test and was able to take a glance at my watch and see the zone I was in. Very cool. I went to the website and tweaked my zones and saved a new template.I can't get the pace zones function to work since then. I'm sure it is operator error.

Aug 9, 2012When I run, the coach tells me that I have reached a mile and that that I ran it in 12 minutes and my average pace was 12 minutes... that makes sense (and yes I know I am slow ). However, when I reach mile 2, it tells me I ran it in 11 minutes and that my average pace was 11 minutes.I expected it to say average page 11.50 miles per hour so I can try and improve my average pace over the course of my run.

May 11, 2012I've had a MOTOACTIVE for about a month now and I still haven't gotten to grips with the Pace & Power Zone settings. I could be wrong but to me it seems like they're just not working.In the Pace Zone settings the lower and upper limits are all set to meaningless values and I've tried a number of times to set them manually with no luck. Then the Power Zones Templates are completely blank and I am unable to set anything at all.

Mar 31, 2012On a run today I went down a spiral ramp under a bridge and lost my gps signal several times. I was wearing a footpod. I noticed my pace measurement slowed down from a 6 min mile to about 18 min/mi.
1st question...since I had a paired footpod shouldn't it have taken over to make the pace measurement more accurate in situations exactly like this?
2nd question... assuming the footpod was taking over, how accurate is it since there seems to be no way to calibrate the actual footpod. Is the data from the footpod constantly being taken into account and then integrated back into my final workout stats?
Motorola Motoactv :: Pace Zones Not Saving In Interval Workout?
Mar 15, 2012I have 4 zones setup in my pace zones: rest, walk, run, sprint.
I am trying to setup walk / run intervals at 2 minutes at my "walk" pace zone and 2 minutes at my "run" pace zone.
In the workout planner I am able to select the appropriate pace zone when setting up my interval workout, but the pace zone that I selected is not saved. I click save and re-enter the workout plan and the zones are defaulted back to my first zone of "rest."

Jan 3, 2012Using my Garmin 305 I can glance at the watch at anytime (assuming it has found satellites) and see my current pace.How do i see my pace on my MOTOACTV without having to go though the process of starting a workout session?How on earth the Motorola QA department allowed the watch and web site to be released to the public in its initial state amazes me. (I am a software developer for a large company so do have some experience) even with the software fixes there are still a number of areas where the watch and site are poor. Jun 24, 2012Interesting discovery during this morning's run - happened to flick the unit for a metrics update and, along with the other data, the audio coach announced an average pace that was actually the average pace for the whole run rather than for the current mile!All I need now is for the audio alert at the end of each mile to give me the average pace for the whole run and I am happy.
Oh, except that towards the end of the run the unit went weird on me (the voice announced in my ear that I had burned 4000 calories in 7 miles and then it stopped recording the distance I had run. It was raining but I think this is all connected to the sleeve of my running top swiping the screen and changing settings as I ran - hope so anyway!).
Motorola Motoactv :: Pedometer Not Kicking In When GPS Drops?
May 20, 2012I had 2 separate runs in the same general area today that seem to have had the GPS drop out. Problem being, I thought the pedometer was supposed to take over at that point so that the pace and distance don't get all screwed up. That didn't seem to happen here. I was running an approximately 9 minute pace the whole time, but had it dip down to 17 mins and it would not come back up... I could see this happening for a few seconds, but for minutes at a time? I will attach CSV files for your review.ow could this possibly happen at this point? This is such basic stuff for this watch to be able to do, why cant it hack it? With a pedometer and GPS it should NEVER be this far off. So disappointing.

Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

Jun 8, 2012We have 4 droid 3 phones here. The one I updated to 5.7.906 will now stop showing blue bars of wifi strength at the top of the screen after some time ( happens during inactivity but also during downloads ). The ones not updated ( 5.6.890 ) still continue to work flawlessly on wifi.In settings the updated phone still shows as connected to our network with bars of signal strength even though no bars highlighted are at the top of the screen.If I stop wifi on the phone and restart it it connects properly and gets the blue bars back at the top of screen and I can access the network. After some time though the blue bars will disapear and the phone will not be able to access the network ( even though in settings it will still show as connected with signal strength)I have checked battery saver options, gone through the process of forgetting settings on the phone and rebooting the router, removed all security from the router and done a factory reset of the phone ( which did not revert back to the old system version ). As the unupdated phones still work properly I am happy that the issues lies with the new update and as it still occurrs after a factory reset it suggests that the issue is not caused by a 3rd party app resident on the phone.Is there anyway I can undo the update on this phone so it will work properly again? Or is there any other way to get wifi working consistently again?

Sep 29, 2011I've had the phone since Monday and have not had a pleasant experience in terms of signal. I manage a little over 300 lines for my company so I know what our signal is and isn't in places. All of our phones typically get great 4G signal and 3G signal around here and especially inside the building. Since I've had the Bionic though it's been really flaky as a lot of others have mentioned. 4G just seems to drop a lot. I've done a lot of speed tests (both on the phone and also tethered to a laptop) and the biggest inconsistency is the upload speed. I am getting 0.05mbps on my upload, but closer to 5-6 on download. The phone itself has been fine, all apps work, speeds are good when browsing actually works and the network doesn't drop. I called Verizon today and he had me check the box for data roaming which was not on by default. So far the signal has been pretty solid where it doesn't drop but it didn't make any changes to my speeds.
I have a Thunderbolt here that gets 20 megabit plus on both uploads and downloads so I know speeds in this area are fine. The Verizon tech pointed me to an update in November that *should* address something with 4G but he wasn't clear on what exactly that was. One other issue I've been having is Wifi. It takes a long time to detect that I am close to my access point. Are others seeing the same issues with uploads that I am or do I possibly had a device with a bad radio?
Motorola Droid Razr :: Battery Drops From 50% To 20%?
Feb 28, 2012My battery lasts good most of the day but when it gets to 50% it will drop to 20% in about 2 minutes. Do I have a bad battery or is it just out of calibration. It has did this twice in the last week. I have not run it til it shuts off so I don't know how long it would last from 20% to being out of juice.

Also tried removing and reinstalling pc suite but didn’t work .I remember it working fine some time ago, but haven’t used pc suite for a while and it's not working correctly now. I connected the phone via bluetooth, but tried USB cable too .using windows 7, and the latest version of pc suite.
