I can no longer view any media capture by this phone. It all says error displaying media. It only effects new media. Not media previously saved on ed card.st confidence in this is phones picture taking capabilities.
I was having wifi connectivity problems and my phone was really slow and the screen wasn't as responsive as it used to be. I restored the phone a couple times but I didn't help at all, i even went to AT&T but the guys couldn't help me much but they tried to. As I was searching I found the--Removed-- It gave a failed error and when trying to reboot, it gives and 0x1000 error.
Last night I bought two CDs on line. i downloaded them to my computer and plugged in my phone to download to the phone. Media link started up and downloaded every CD on the computer before I could stop it. (I had selected only the new CD's in media link) I had to go into my music and delete everything that was duplicated. Then I discovered that my playlists were all empty. I had gone though all of my music and put all songs in playlists. Now I had to do it again!! I thought I was all fixed up and discovered this morning that all 1,290 photos from my computer were loaded onto my phone as well. DO NOT leave media link on your computer. I'm removing it when I get home and I'll start doing the old copy/paste routine. Motorola should send warnings about Media Link to all customers.
I started the Motorola music player the other day, and none of my album covers will display. They are still attached to the .Mp3's. They display in the Google (headphones icon) player just fine.
Im wondering why MML doesn't have an option to turn it off. I don't use it much and short of installing it I see no option for it not starting up every time I turn on my computer.
Just bought an Atrix (I had been given an Apple 4 and was talked out of using in favor of the Atrix)
I was able to install Media Link on my Dell Vostro PC running Windows 7, but keep getting the error message during installation on my Dell desktop running VIsta Home Premium that Media Link cannot find MotoHelper Driver 5.0 (I have removed some of the underlines, etc. for brevity's sake). I have installed that MotoHelper Driver about 300 times, but still get this error message.
What is the trick to getting Media LInk to install?
I'm using the MML 1.5 and the latest drivers from the Motorola site for the Atrix.Running XP SP3,I was able to sync with my Atrix a few time, but MML doesn't work consistantly at all. Any advise in order for this to work properly. I've tried removing and reinstalling with no avail.I've also put my phone in each of the USB modes without luck..
I have a 2010 Mazda Speed 3 and I hear this is a common problem. Phone calls are fine but media playback has a 3 second delay with Bluetooth in the car. I don't have this problem with other Bluetooth speakers or ear pieces. Is this delay a common problem for vehicles or is it just MY vehicle?
I profess to being a newbie to smart phones.. but this is strange... I can see all of my songs on the default media player on my atrix... but when I try and upload the files through the Motorola portal (from phone to pc) not all of the songs are there... There are none on the internal storage drive.. Where are they or why are the files not read on the sd card?
After i took at pic and save it in my gallery then i set the phone down . two minute i look at my phone to surpise igot a a blue n purple salt n peper screen i try to turn off my phone . which i could not until ipull out the battery. Then it start working fine. idecide ibetter hook up my phone[usb] to my laptop. To tranfer the pics n files over to the lap top it said that media link was not working so i try to repair it threw my control panel> program/freature> motorola Media Link Repair which it didnt work. so i unstalll it. rebooted my visa. restall it and it still not working now . It say that the Motorola helper is updated . it work for me3week ago.
I have a Atrix and I have tried syncing through Media Link and it duplicates most of the music files so I have two copies of every album in two different places on SD card. It puts them under mobile/music but also under a music. I never set up the file system on my SD card but I did switch it out of my old phone. Why does it do this and what do I need to do make it stop? Should I delete one of these file folders completely? I have already deleted all of the music files on my phone and then synced it again.
why Apple put a hardware silence switch on the iphone. Turning this thing on / off, or even launching apps (especially games) is impossible to do in any scenario when you can't make any noise since there's no way to be sure it's not going to start making noise. For example ...you're sitting in a meeting, you need to turn on your phone (or reboot or whatever) so you cleverly do so without anyone noticing, but the Atrix rewards you with a power-beep plus notification tones for the internal and SD storage.
For the last couple days, I haven't been able to get more than around 4 hours from a full charge. The battery usage tool lists "Media" as the major culprit. I'm also getting frequent notifications of high CPU utilization from the task manager tool, though nothing interesting shows up in the task manager application list. (Maybe the "Media" service doesn't get shown there?) I recently upgraded to 2.3.6, but things seemed fine for the first few days, so I don't know if this is related.
I think I might have caused the issue when I removed a few mp3 music folders from my SD card using the Astro File manager. (For some reason the stock file manager would hang on trying to remove them, even though they weren't in use.) That seems to be roughly when the battery drain issues started. Also, I currently can't open the "Music" or "Gallery" applications - they just hang and eventually I get the force close option. I've rebooted multiple times, but this doesn't go away.
why does Moto Media Link take forever to sync my music? Its annoying, but I love having a phone that can hold music. I do like whats on Gingerbread, now that I don't have to find the album name, but still, it shouldn't take an hour +, especially when the screen says 20 minutes left.
my phone automatically did the update a few days ago and rebooted and ever since then I have been unable to access my FB account and connect to the internet on my phone. I've got the buttons unchecked that say to connect only when wifi available, so I don't know what's going on.
My car stereo is bluetooth capable for both telephone and music. The phone bonds with the car when I get in and detects the bluetooth audio player then autoplays. I'd like to choose when it plays. Having not listened to music on the phone during my journey I get out of the car and the phone detects the bluetooth is lost and plays music through the phones speakers. This means every time I get out of the car I have to get the phone out of my pocket, unlock the phone, find the media player / widget and stop the music. Could I control when media plays with bluetooth enabled stereos.
Ring/Notification tones randomly change after media rebuild
I had to rebuild my media library to get rid of some "ghost " image thumbnails in the gallery. I deleted all data associated with Media Storage and rebooted.
This totally hosed up my Ring/Notification tones. Why should a rebuild of the media library make a difference?
I am currently upgrading to ICS. I have been looking at "upgrading media database" for just about 6 hours. I have read a ton of forum posts in other areas that have verying amount of times that they have allowed this to sit. I was wondering if I might get an "official" answer on how long I should wait until I give up. I know that forcing it to restart is going to result in me doing a factory reset that I definitly do not want to do, so I dont want to give up too soon.
The error msg 'SIM not allowed MM #6' (may be #3, can't remember off hand) appears occasionally on my screen. Phone usually locks up and I need to reset power to continue.
an error has occurred. please try again. what it keeps telling me when i try to sign in. i did a factory reset on my motorola atrix an when i try to set up my account using my existing account and when I type my info. in thats what it keeps telling me "an error has occurred". Also it wont let me register my product which is my motorola atrix phone.
I am having an error with the WiFi of the Atrix 4G. It will not connect and when I go into settings it just says 'Error'. I have had the phone since it has come out and this has never happened before. I have wiped and restarted the phone twice and nothing has changed. I have attached pictures of the menu settings page and the toggle switch which just has the loading symbol and cant be switched on or off.
Two days ago my yahoo email stopped working and keeps saying "yahoo authentication error" I tried turning off and on my phone and deleting my account then set it up again but still no luck. Any suggestions beside factory reset?
When up connect my Atrix to my computer via the USB cable, I get the message, "Do you want to scan and fix MB860?" as wells as "Do you want to scan and fix SD card?" This happens on a Windows Vista and on a Windows 7 computer. The problem is not that I do not disconnect properly from the computer, as I always click that "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the tray (isn't that what they call it?) down on the right of the Taskbar, and then click the proper choice before unplugging the cable. If I tell it I do want to scan and fix, there is never any problem found after the scanning.
I've added my Gmail account just fine, but my Atrix 2 gives me an error every time I try setting up Yahoo Mail. Error Login to the account failed, please try again.I've verified the name and password by logging in with my desktop computer.
On Gingerbread and just put in a new SD Card and formatted/mounted. Set storage to SD Card and tried to save some pictures sent via SMS/text and am getting an "error saving attachment"I tired to change storage location to internal but that doesn't work either. The only thing that I can see that may be causing the problem is that the pictures were sent form a friend in Thailand and the file has Thai script characters in the filename. Is this a limitation of the phone/Android OS? Or am I missing a location pointing setting?
I keep getting an error message that the ICS software update has failed. The download process will finish, it will stop a little into the installation, restarts the phone and says the update failed. Is anyone else having this problem or know of any way that I can get the update to install?
I have a Motorola Atrix 2 and initially set up a Corporate Sync account several months ago. I had no issues with this account until last week, when my Exchange server migrated.I tried adding the new server name, but that did not fix the problem. I was advised by my company (Microsoft) tech support to delete the Corporate Sync account and then re-create it.I proceeded to create the Corporate Sync account via Setting > Accounts > Add Account > Corporate Sync, but when I keyed in my information (Email address, Password, Domain, and Username) and clicked Next, I received this error:Sorry! The application Accounts (process.com.motorola.setup) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.I have restarted the phone numerous times, but this error still occurs. I haven't found any helpful information online thus far
