In another thread various monthly data use amounts were discussed.I have an (grand fathered) unlimited plan, so data use is irrelevant.But I wondered what is the average monthly data consumption.This month is atypical for me at less than 200 megs so far. Usually it is more like a gig or more.What is your monthly data use?

Yesterday I noticed that my speeds are severely lacking, especially when comparing to a HTC Inspire.When I called AT&T to inquire if my speeds were normal, the lady said no.After looking she said my SIM card number was wrong, again.This has become a frequent answer to most of the hiccups I've had since February.Side note, with this recurring SIM issue keep me from getting updated or will that be based on the IEMI?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy only concern is the battery. I'm not exactly what you would call a heavy user but usually look for about 3-4 hours screen time on an average. Mostly done by browsing the web, social media, A LOT of texting, a few YouTube videos and some Bluetooth streaming with my car AND my Moto 360.
So this things got a 3900 mah battery yet why does it feel closer to 2800. I understand that the device does have the higher resolution display and whatnot but do people not realize this thing has a 3900 MAH BATTERY?! Shouldn't that blow everything else out of the water? Like not even be close to any other phone. I switch between a Note 4 and the Turbo and I can get more screen on time with the Note 4 (5.5-6.5). Keep in the mind the Note 4 only has a 3250 battery (I think) and the same resolution display yet it's much larger. AND it runs touchwiz, something that destroys battery life.
If you use your RAZR / RAZR MAXX for tethering, or as a hotspot, for connecting a WiFi-only tablet or laptop PC wirelessly to the Internet, how is it affecting your phone's battery power consumption?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm almost 100% certain that my parents will buy me an iPhone. My parents and I are currently with T-Mobile and will switch for the iPhone 4G/HD/whatever it's called. But I was browsing around AT&T's site and it seems you need to pay $30 for each iPhone's data plan on a family plan. Basically, if I wanted 3 iPhones in one family plan, then I would have to pay $90 a month for the data plan for all 3. Is this true?

After the .587 update i found out that this app is syncing too much. when ever my Ray is connected to a data service (2G, 3G, WiFi) is starts to sync lot of data. when i see the data usage it consums the majority share. like 800MB for every 1000MB used. and all the data comes as backgroud data. even if i restrict background data it does not stop syncing. is there any way to restrict the data usage as it consumes all the data provided and battery just for syncing. this forces me to turn off data service when i dont use my Ray. with the previous firmware my mobile used to be 24/7 connected to data sarvice and i had 16 hrs battery back up. now it last only for 3 - 4 hrs if i dont trun off the data service.

I have turned off notifications, no push mail and closed all tasks.
Since It is a very small, I am least worried about data consumption but it is draining my battery.

Also this is draining up my battery like crazy , in less than 1 hour my battery went from 100 to 55 ... My cellphone model is SK17A. Could it be for the ICS update?

However, when I reach mile 2, it tells me I ran it in 11 minutes and that my average pace was 11 minutes.I expected it to say average page 11.50 miles per hour so I can try and improve my average pace over the course of my run.

View 15 Replies View RelatedInteresting discovery during this morning's run - happened to flick the unit for a metrics update and, along with the other data, the audio coach announced an average pace that was actually the average pace for the whole run rather than for the current mile!All I need now is for the audio alert at the end of each mile to give me the average pace for the whole run and I am happy.
Oh, except that towards the end of the run the unit went weird on me (the voice announced in my ear that I had burned 4000 calories in 7 miles and then it stopped recording the distance I had run. It was raining but I think this is all connected to the sleeve of my running top swiping the screen and changing settings as I ran - hope so anyway!).

I've googled, and so far, only method I found was switching the data from 3g to 1x, which isn't very helpful since all that does is consume the same amount of data at a slower rate.

She is disabled and she said it was too complicated for her so she re-activated her old flip phone and put this one in a drawer.After I purchased this phone I went straight to the Verizon store for activation. It had a clean ESN and activation went smoothly in terms of phone features; however, no data features. They worked on it for two hours and then gave up declaring the phone to be defective. I will be traveling to Canada where I will have a voice and txt mssg plan, but I don't want to use data. When I de-select Background Data, it warns me that some apps still may use data!As far as I can tell, de-selecting Data Enabled and Background data should prevent any data transmission, but still allow for voice and txt. My "Bookworm" and my "Quick List Free" don't access the information already on the sd card. Astro shows it there but apps say nothing there. I have about 350 books and info on them in the Bookworm. How do I get the app to see the info. I don't want to put them in again individually.

From what I can tell, the app that is taking up the most internal space is MotoNav at 17.73 MB (= 17.49 MB of data and 248 KB of app). My trial period has already expired though it appears I can still use it now (I'm assuming with its existing maps).I've read it's hard to remove MotoNav from the phone because it's a system app. That's fine but what happens if I just want to delete all the data from this app? Is that ok? Are there any long term ramifications to do that? What happens if say, I chose to buy an activation key for it at a later date? Will I be able to redownload all that data (the maps, etc) again?
