View 1 Replies View RelatedQuestion for Matt, or anyone who can answer this: does setting the battery saving mode to marathon also affect the time it takes for the Motoactv to auto restart recording a workout when you have come to a stop?What happened was that I had to stop at a busy intersection to wait for traffic to clear. In the minute or so that I had to wait, the auto pause kicked in. When I started moving again, it took several hundred yards for the Moto to restart the workout. I panicked a bit and hit the restart button manually when it didn't start right away, but it seems that auto restart was working -- it just took an awful long time to kick in.Anyway, to get to the nub of the question -- since the marathon setting ostensibly checks signals less often than the "normal" setting (every 3 sec. rather than every second), is it possible that the auto restart is going to have a longer lag time between when the bike starts moving and when it restarts than if I had the battery mode set to "normal".

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a set of Jaybird JF3 Freedom BT headphones (fantastic running headphones BTW!) - both the Motoactv manual and the device itself tell me that when the Motoactv and my BT headset are in range of each other and powered on, they will auto-connect. Of the 30+ times I've used them, this only happened once. Every other time I have to go into Settings - Wireless - BT Headsets-JF3 Freedom and hit the "Reconnect" button - then they reconnect right away. One random time, they auto-connected. I didn't do anything different than I normally do.

Just installed the Motoactv, all OK except for the FM, it doesnt work at all, earphone connected, it senses the connection since it report no signal when I take it out, but it cant find any stations
View 3 Replies View RelatedI first discovered that the camera is locked on fixed focus about a week ago when I tried to take a picture of a barcode. The camera takes good pictures as long at the subject is atleast 2' away. This camera actually does not auto focus or focus at all (do some tests yourself). The irony is that there is a "macro" mode under the scenes setting but that does not help either. I called Motorola and they seem to be aware that their phone which is advertised as having auto focus does not actually focus. They have no estimate on a fix for this problem.

Moto Photon is my phone All it keep saying is please wait,synchroniation in progress. I call customer service and they told me to reset my phone did that and reinstall the app but still no dice . Customer service said that the app feature for the phone was only available the razr and razr maxx. Did a google search but i'm still lead back here. View 7 Replies View RelatedI just tried to sync with my computer (Windows 7 with full admin rights) and after installing and attempting to sync for to iTunes the first time I recieved aMML has stopped working error that forced the shut down of the application and would not let me open it back up again.To troubleshoot I've tried:1) reseting MotoActv to factory settings4) rebooting again5) reconnecting/reinstalling MotoCastUnfortunatly after all of the above the application continues not to work / fails with the same error every time I try to open it (not even making it to the sync page anymore) making the MotoActv essentially unusable since it won't sync workouts or download music.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that my screen rotation no longer works on my Atrix. The phone still detects the correct orientation (AndroSensor app's 'Orientation' degrees change correctly as I rotate the phone). Games that rely on the accelerometer still function normally. The operating system just seems to do nothing when I rotate. Browser doesn't go to landscape, and other apps that normally can switch to landscape, just don't. The setting to Auto-rotate is checked.I have pulled the battery, I have rebooted, I have tried changing settings, rebooting, changing them again, but I can't get it to work as it did a few days ago. Searching this sort of problem online seems to come up with similar issues with other people across a myriad of different Android devices, yet no one really has any solution on how to fix besides doing a 'factory reset'. A factory reset doesn't seem to be a good fix for this to me.
The closest reasonable explanation I can come up with is that with the added Motorola software, there might possibly be another 'rotation' setting behind the scenes that we can't access that got out of sync with the normal Android rotation settings (read on how this might be an explanation for the problem on Samsung phones), but who knows what is really going on. Very annoying though, since the phone sensors appear to be working properly. I can't even write a simple text message in landscape mode because of this, making it frustratingly difficult with the small on-screen keys on the regular mode.
I purchased my Photon at the end of September, and for the most part it has been the greatest phone I have ever used. That is, until my camera stopped working correctly! I launch the camera app, and the screen switches to landscape and the camera initializes, but it will not focus!! I have to tap the screen very hard and rapidly for it to force focus, and any situation other than bright daylight will not focus at all. The phone does not even make that little clicking noise that I think it made when going into camera mode, which I believe meant that the shutter is activating (right??).
This happened once before to me, and I took the phone to a Sprint store. The rep simply toggled the image resolution from 3mp to 5mp and back, and it worked. I then left the store feeling like a dope.....until the next week when it started happening again. Now, I've tried everything to get the camera to work again, but nothing.
The autofocus of my Milestone 2 is no longer working. It's not often that I take pictures with my mobile, so I can't say if this is related with the GB-Update or not.

For the first couple months, I was taking crystal clear pictures without any problems, then one day the camera refused to autofocus and now all my pictures turn out blurry. I can say without a doubt that the lens does not need cleaning because if I take an extreme closeup (just a few inches from the subject) the pictures are clear. Any further than a few inches, the pics come out blurry. Holding the shutter button down a little only causes a red box to come up, not green. Using the touch screen shutter button doesn't make a difference. I tried factory resetting my phone and this didn't solve the issue.

It shows I have 0% Intermediate and Vigorous activity, which has to be off based on my previous workouts. I also have worked out mutiple times this week, so I am nopt sure why it always shows 0 out of 4.
