The unit doesnt tell you that you have finished a stage of your multi run
You need to pause then start the next session Then just the final kick in the nuts it doesnt tell you when to speed up or slow down like the Garmin does.
I'm looking into buying a MotoActv but I can't get a clear answer from the product documentation is this device has an interval timer.uite simply, I want to set a time period (45 seconds) which counts down, sends a notification through the headphone (beep!) and rautomatically esets the timer and continues counting down.This seems pretty simple and there are some references to it but I'm hoping to get a straight yes/no before I buy. (Secondarly, if anyone has info about a version two coming down the line I'd love to hear about that as well - this seems like a great device and after spending the last week looking at EVERYTHING I can say it's an underserved market - just ready for a version 2 to really bring it home).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI noticed today an error on the portal when viewing Intervals. I was follwing a Carmichael run and so I tap the screen to start my first interval after I have warmend up.The portal is correctly showing my 4 High, and 4 Low intervals, and the duration is correct. What isn't correct is when I click on the first interval, it's starting from the time I started the run. Not from the time the interval started. Therefore, when viewing the graph info for that intevarl, it's looking at the wrong section of the graph.Basically, the portal needs to know what time into your workout the first interval started and use that as the offset for displaying the interval data on the graph.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have 4 zones setup in my pace zones: rest, walk, run, sprint.
I am trying to setup walk / run intervals at 2 minutes at my "walk" pace zone and 2 minutes at my "run" pace zone.
In the workout planner I am able to select the appropriate pace zone when setting up my interval workout, but the pace zone that I selected is not saved. I click save and re-enter the workout plan and the zones are defaulted back to my first zone of "rest."
I have noticed that the average speed reported per lap/interval does not correlate with the graph. For example, I did an interval workout on my bike recently. As you can see from the image below, my average speed for interval 5 was 32.99 km/hr. I know this to be correct, because I was trying to keep my fast intervals at +30 km/hr, and could see this on my watch during the workout. However, as you can see, the graph seems to be displaying an average speed of around 13 km/hr, and shows that my speed never went about 20 km/hr.
This problem is happening for me on all of my cycling workouts, whether or not I have a scheduled interval routine or just autolap for 1km. For some of the intervals (maybe 5-10 %), the graph seems to be consistent with the average speed for the interval, but for the majority of intervals it is all messed up. I'm using the 8GB version with the latest software update. My .csv for the workout is also attached.
Currently there is a maximum of 20 sets allowed to be set for an interval workout.increase this to something higher? 50, 100, infinite? I use the Galloway walk/run method and 20 sets doesn't get me very far when doing short walk/run intervals. I want to use this for a half marathon.

This worked before, but on my run today it Auto-Paused at two stop lights when I stopped, but after starting running again it wouldn't resume on its own and I had to press Start to get it going again

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a plan to incorporate support for the ANT+ Fitness Equipment Device profile? Seems that this is the only fitness related profile that is missing from the MOTOACTV. I would love to be able to use this device primarily with the Concept2 Indoor Rowing machine (as well as some Spin bikes at the gym). The Concept2 monitor software supports the FE profile and it would be nice to be able to pair the MOTOACTV to track the many meters that I'll be rowing this winter indoors. In addition... just a future thought... the accelerometer would open up the possibility of using this device as a stroke coach for on-water rowing (i.e. stroke cadence)! Nothing wearable exists like this on the market for us rowers...we have to log our workouts manually and don't have a means to retain detailed metrics such as power graph over time etc.

View 8 Replies View RelatedQuestion for Matt, or anyone who can answer this: does setting the battery saving mode to marathon also affect the time it takes for the Motoactv to auto restart recording a workout when you have come to a stop?What happened was that I had to stop at a busy intersection to wait for traffic to clear. In the minute or so that I had to wait, the auto pause kicked in. When I started moving again, it took several hundred yards for the Moto to restart the workout. I panicked a bit and hit the restart button manually when it didn't start right away, but it seems that auto restart was working -- it just took an awful long time to kick in.Anyway, to get to the nub of the question -- since the marathon setting ostensibly checks signals less often than the "normal" setting (every 3 sec. rather than every second), is it possible that the auto restart is going to have a longer lag time between when the bike starts moving and when it restarts than if I had the battery mode set to "normal".

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a set of Jaybird JF3 Freedom BT headphones (fantastic running headphones BTW!) - both the Motoactv manual and the device itself tell me that when the Motoactv and my BT headset are in range of each other and powered on, they will auto-connect. Of the 30+ times I've used them, this only happened once. Every other time I have to go into Settings - Wireless - BT Headsets-JF3 Freedom and hit the "Reconnect" button - then they reconnect right away. One random time, they auto-connected. I didn't do anything different than I normally do.

Lastnight she saw that there was an active session from Great Britian - I did a reverse DNS and the IP belongs to RIM - rdns.blackberry.net.I understand that internet on blackberry is via BIS, therefore all routed traffic will go through BIS from her phone regardless of Carrier. Its just never shown it from that location before, Anyone aware of any BIS routers/proxies that exist in the UK ?

if i am creating the activity without the time and only with wifi then the SMS is sent.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery since I upgraded my Droid RAZR MAXX to ICS I've been having a problem playing music that is saved on my 32-Gig SD card. Prior to the upgrade I didn't have the problem. 8 out of 10 songs will skip for 2 seconds after playing for 10 seconds. The 10 seconds is consistent, but as I said 8 out of 10 songs will skip.
When the skipping occurs the device is totally unresponsive; screen and buttons (including power). After the skipping the song will play without any problems. It doesn't appear to be song specific as I've had the same song skip and then not skip. I'm using Verizon's My Music, but the same thing happens with Play Music and PowerAmp. I even fiddled with PowerAmp settings to have a large buffer and increased the priority without any change in the skipping.
Any way to change the interval that the screen wakes up to show you what notifications you have? I really don't need a reminder every 10 seconds.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.
