I use Stitcher, the FM Radio and Mediafly a lot. On the X these would always stay active when surfing the web, playing most games, etc. They now last about 2 minutes before something is killing there processes. I am not using a task killer. It seems to be more of a problem when the X2 is docked.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.
I've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.

The only way to get it back is to turn airplane mode on then off.Also had my first reboot since before the update. I was using maps and the phone froze up tight while using the search function inside the app.

Very often, while Im in the games, it will say it is searching for the network, or it is doesn't have a network connection.I've switched to WiFi when I can, and still have the issue.I've noticed when I look at he phone now, the 4G symbol is white, then turns blue.seem to remember it always being blue.Does it sound like it's the games having the issue, the games causing the issue, or an issue with the phone?I would prefer to NOT do a hard reset. It always takes me about 2 or more hours to get the phone back the way I want it.Is anyone noticing the same thing, or does anyone have any thoughts

View 15 Replies View RelatedSeveral times/day now my droid razr HD loses all connectivity. No wifi, no 3g/4g/1x anything. All the indicators are grey and I can't connect to anything. Usually what I have to do is go into airplane mode and then back out and then things are back. I can't say for sure but I thought there was a time or two where I had to do a power cycle to get things back. Not positive about that. I've only had the phone for a few weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's always done this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy sound keep cutting out while I am in call :( The sound works great on speakerphone but as soon as I switch back to the normal earpiece it cuts out intermittently.
Music works great and earphones work fine too, It only drops sound when I make/and receive calls. It's a real pain to have a conversation when you can't hear the other person 50% of the time.
I recently had a new battery and another internal battery/charging related component changed because the battery wouldn't hold a charge or charge at all for that matter. They also changed the screen and rear case which was nice :D But the sound fault was not there before I sent my phone off for repair so it could be the new audio jack on the rear case that is faulty ...
iPhone5 drops audio (music) playback to the handsfree built into my car. This happens about 40% of the time and after a few seconds. I have to disable bluetooth, wait and reenable. I've seen it drop after longer, but typically it's seconds into connecting and starting playback. Before upgrading to iOS 7.1.1 this never happened. Phone is placed in cup holder in center console so signal strength should not be an issue.Â
Not sure if the phone's handfree part would still work. I am suspecting that it does not.Â

I've had my RAZR about a week coming from a Droid X, so I know this worked before.I have 2 corp sync accounts with my home broadband provider, Frontier. Initially, one of my accounts kept falling out of Push into Fetch.Last night I did a factory reset to see if that would help. Of course, to make things interesting, this morning I had the new firmware update waiting to be installed, so I let that go in.Strange enough, now both my accounts are falling from push to fetch. Im a long time DX user, so I'm sure I have my settings correct. When I run that "verify server" it comes back with "success" Doing some searching, I got a hit on the Bionic forum, but no resolution....[URL]
View 4 Replies View RelatedHave just recently bought a Motorola Razr M which is running stock ICS on Telstra in Australia. I am having constant problems with wifi connections dropping in and out whilst at home. It basically will display very good signal then all of a sudden drop out completely and reconnect. This happens without me moving or changing my hand position, sometimes whilst browsing web or downloading and sometimes whilst not using internet at all. It can happen as often as every few seconds or it may go 5-10 minutes before it starts. No other device I own has these problems, including my Motorola Atrix. I have spent hours changing settings in the modem (2.4g only) but nothing makes ANY difference. This is definitely a phone related problem (bug, hardware etc).

Normally works fine, however in the last few days, I'll notice that there is no mail and the last update was hours ago. If I reboot the phone, it all works again. Three different exchange accounts on the phone and the problem happens will all three accounts at the same time. When this does happen, I still have internet connectivity. Wifi or 4g makes no difference.

Its there about a minute after boot. I use Advanced Task Kill to stop it, a minute later or so and its back. I used Optimize Tool Box to view the startup apps and Music is not one of them. Keep in mind, this is not a background service but the app itself.

View 6 Replies View RelatedYesterday I allowed the Motorola update on my Razr Maxx & now I wish I could undo it. When I go into "Phone", "Voicemail", "Text", etc. the background is black with white font (or in the case of Text, the background is dark blue with grey lettering). I am unable to read light colored font against a dark background so am having a terrible time with this update. Is there a way to change the color of the background and make the font black? I've tried changing the Display, Wallpaper, etc but that has no effect on the default background colors of the apps.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe IM service is always running in applications. I have never even opened the IM application or set it up. It usually is using up between 3.1 and 3.7 MB in the memory, which isn't a big deal. It is running one process and two services. Any way to disable the IM app from constantly running in the background. I had disabled it in the Task Manager to shut off two minutes after the screen goes off but whenever the phone wakes it turns back on and seemed to make my data issues worse. I can't say for sure that adding it to the auto kill list directly affected the data connection because it may have just been another bad day for the Bionic.

I don't think background apps are running when this occurs, but anyway I want to know if a successful sync can take place while it is enabled only when plugged in to a charger.

I can find and play music tracks but as soon as I hit the "home" key the music pauses. Basically, any time I exit the player, the music stops.. So I can listen to music OR do anything else.. annoying? yes!
If I press the "home" key or exit any other way - The widget on the home screen reverts to "Go to music dashboard" and if I press to un-pause the music, I am taken back to the "My Music" homescreen and have to re-select a song.
fix / workaround / another music player (one with Motocast capability?). Can i re-install "my music" or reset something?
- I am running motocast, but this problem occurs on Motocast and downloaded music. - i have tried turnignoff motocast computers. - This does not happen with podcasts or any other media - just music in my library.
Every time my phone wakes up, I receive an error message that the background data is restricted.What sort of things should I be looking for to stop this from happening? Right now I have a smart action running called "Display" that enables the cellular data to run when the screen turns on. With this smart action the notification disappears within 3 seconds. Obviously a better solution would be to keep the alert from appearing at all.

Currently under E-mail settings, E-mail delivery, & folder sync, I would like my sent items to sync in the background as my inbox does. Every time I change it to automatically sync in the background, it reverts back to manual as soon as I leave my e-mail. Is there anyway to force this to sync in the background? Will this be corrected in the upcoming update?
