Motorola Droid Bionic :: Screens Have A Black Background?
Apr 4, 2012A friend of mine has another brand Android and all of his basic phone screens have a black background, which I find more appealing than the dark blue on the BIONIC. I've looked all around the settings areas and cannot locate a place to change the colors.I am not speaking about the wallpaper. But the actual window background in the stock programs which come on the BIONIC.

Jul 17, 2012Yesterday I allowed the Motorola update on my Razr Maxx & now I wish I could undo it. When I go into "Phone", "Voicemail", "Text", etc. the background is black with white font (or in the case of Text, the background is dark blue with grey lettering). I am unable to read light colored font against a dark background so am having a terrible time with this update. Is there a way to change the color of the background and make the font black? I've tried changing the Display, Wallpaper, etc but that has no effect on the default background colors of the apps.

On the X these would always stay active when surfing the web, playing most games, etc. They now last about 2 minutes before something is killing there processes. I am not using a task killer. It seems to be more of a problem when the X2 is docked.

I use Advanced Task Kill to stop it, a minute later or so and its back. I used Optimize Tool Box to view the startup apps and Music is not one of them. Keep in mind, this is not a background service but the app itself.

Oct 1, 2011I just noticed this happen while I was trying to swipe the homescreen lock while the phone was in the middle of rotating from portrait to landscape, but my background reset itself to the default background while I was trying to do this. This only seems to be an issue for the "non blur" launcher. I have never encountered this using a third party launcher.

Nov 17, 2011The IM service is always running in applications. I have never even opened the IM application or set it up. It usually is using up between 3.1 and 3.7 MB in the memory, which isn't a big deal. It is running one process and two services. Any way to disable the IM app from constantly running in the background. I had disabled it in the Task Manager to shut off two minutes after the screen goes off but whenever the phone wakes it turns back on and seemed to make my data issues worse. I can't say for sure that adding it to the auto kill list directly affected the data connection because it may have just been another bad day for the Bionic.

Apr 24, 2012I created a smart action that disables data sync when the Maxx is not on a charger. It is an attempt to solve the problem of sporadic massive battery drain. I don't think background apps are running when this occurs, but anyway I want to know if a successful sync can take place while it is enabled only when plugged in to a charger.

May 25, 2012I have a problem with the "My Music" app and music homescreen widget.
I can find and play music tracks but as soon as I hit the "home" key the music pauses. Basically, any time I exit the player, the music stops.. So I can listen to music OR do anything else.. annoying? yes!
If I press the "home" key or exit any other way - The widget on the home screen reverts to "Go to music dashboard" and if I press to un-pause the music, I am taken back to the "My Music" homescreen and have to re-select a song.
fix / workaround / another music player (one with Motocast capability?). Can i re-install "my music" or reset something?
- I am running motocast, but this problem occurs on Motocast and downloaded music. - i have tried turnignoff motocast computers. - This does not happen with podcasts or any other media - just music in my library.
Motorola Droid Razr :: Background Data Restricted Notice (ICS)?
Jun 30, 2012Every time my phone wakes up, I receive an error message that the background data is restricted.What sort of things should I be looking for to stop this from happening? Right now I have a smart action running called "Display" that enables the cellular data to run when the screen turns on. With this smart action the notification disappears within 3 seconds. Obviously a better solution would be to keep the alert from appearing at all.

Currently under E-mail settings, E-mail delivery, & folder sync, I would like my sent items to sync in the background as my inbox does. Every time I change it to automatically sync in the background, it reverts back to manual as soon as I leave my e-mail. Is there anyway to force this to sync in the background? Will this be corrected in the upcoming update?

Is this something that the app has to honor, vs it being forcibly put into place?

I set the "wallpaper" to the same default background as I have in my iPhone - the gray colored background with bubbles all over.
On the iPhone, this works fine.
On the iPad, the background remains black.
Is there a different setting I need to use? I think I've done everything right, and even reset the iPod to "new", but the background behind all my apps is still a solid black color.
Also, I know there's no phone, no camera, and no multitasking, but will this device function pretty much the same as an iPhone 3GS? Will I be able to install the same Wi-Fi utilities such as Skype and Viber?
