View 5 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I updated my (European) LG G3 to Lollipop, but since, the bluetooth audio stream in my car (Nissan new Note) drops randomly in songs - it's just a very short drop, but still noticeable. Sometimes it happens several times in one song, sometimes not. I have disabled the experimental NuPlayer in the Developer's options, but to no avail. I have also deleted all bluetooth connections on my phone and in my car, repaired,
View 24 Replies View RelatedI've had the DroidX since last August. I am a frequent listener to streaming audio, especially while out and about (driving around the local area, in the grocery store, etc.). Most of what I listen to is from twit.am (either via the TwitDroid app or sometimes StreamFurious Pro), but I also use several radio-oriented apps (such as iHeartRadio or uneIn Radio).
I've never been able to keep a stream going for more than 10 minutes without it dropping. I always thought it was due to sketchy 3G coverage here in the Hudson Valley but had no way of testing that theory until today, when I remembered that the Google CR48 that I am testing has built-in Verizon 3G. So, to test the DroidX hardware defect theory, I took the CR48 in the car with me today on 50 mile round trip from Hyde Park to Fishkill and back. I listened to twit.am the whole way and did not experience a single dropout!
Case closed, it seems to me.
Any thoughts on whether this issue is confined to the DroidX (e.g. are there other Moto android phones that don't have the issue)? What about other vendors like HTC or Samsung, do they suffer similar problems? I'm considering whether to stay with Moto when I am eligible for an upgrade this coming June. At this point I am inclined to jump ship because of this issue.
Is there any way to have YouTube audio keep playing even if you leave the app?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI use Stitcher, the FM Radio and Mediafly a lot. On the X these would always stay active when surfing the web, playing most games, etc. They now last about 2 minutes before something is killing there processes. I am not using a task killer. It seems to be more of a problem when the X2 is docked.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with the bluetooth audio, when streaming to a speaker or headphones a high pitch noise is present in the background. This occurs whenever anything audio is playing music or notification sounds. Not sure if its hardware or software related?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have noticed an issue with the Galaxy S5 that apparently only occurs with the Verizon variant. I work for a place called Wireless Advocates, we are the cell phone kiosk inside of Costco. I'm asking about this because I've had three customers come in to ask about this background data issue.
I'm not sure what triggers this issue but when I try opening up google play I get the "Background Data Disabled : Google Play Store Needs background data to be Enabled" error. It then gives you the ability to either quit or enable the data. If you press enable it takes you to the account screen in settings.
When I go to Data usage the option to "restrict background data" is greyed out. You can't even select it and it isn't checkmarked either. Just to clarify, accessing the internet and other things on the phone work perfectly fine. It's just the use of Google Play that is having issues. I called Samsung customer care and they aren't aware of this issue at all. Also note that force stopping google play, play services, removing the google accounts and adding them back and rebooting the phone haven't solved it. After the reboot the phone will appear fine and then a box that says "Restricting background data".
Recently I attended a conference and recorded the audio on my iPhone3. I want to transpose the information to a document without the agony of typing every word. Is there an app for this purpose?
View 1 Replies View RelatediPhone 4S, now on 5.1.
This problem started recently. My bluetooth headset connects, and can trigger the call to be answered, but the iPhone doesn't use it as the audio source. In fact, the button that normally selects the sources, now shows only the speaker icon (and toggles speakerphone).
After updating to 5.1, it seemed to be fixed -- that same button again let me choose the audio source. That was yesterday, but today when I answered a call, it didn't go to the headset, and the source button again shows only the speaker icon.
The iPhone answers the call when I press the button on the headset. It's just not seeing any audio source.
I've powered on & off, not fixing the problem. I can't poinpoint the start of the trouble exactly -- it seemed to simply work one day and not work the next. I honestly don't remember if it coincided with updating to 5.01.
I have audio through the headset or speakerphone with no issue but none through the handset. Did a battery pull but that did not resolve the issue. I also just upgraded to Rogers OS 5.0.0.743 not sure if this is what caused the problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedCame from LG G4 that didn't have these issues with the same apps.
Sometimes the audio will work fine (notice this more when I'm on WiFi) but sometimes, in all apps (snapchat, facebook, regular gallery view) the video will play but the audio will cut in and out.
Not sure what it is. Phone is rooted (systemless) and is running the EX Kernel. I didn't mess with the audio settings in the EX Manager...
This is a huge issue for me as I spend a lot of time on Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube (I'm a vlogger, etc.).
stream video to iphone from set?I want to take a video cameras sd feed, compress it and stream it to an iphone or ipod touch. Is there something (an app or streaming .h264 box) that can do this. I know they do it for sports games but would think this would be ideal for set.

I've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.
I've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.

I have a 2011 Subaru Outback with the factory stereo. Bluetooth audio works great for me for calls and Siri. But I have yet to discover how streaming music works. I didn't think it was supported by my stereo at first, but then yesterday, out of the blue, my music app displayed the AirTunes logo and I could see the "CAR_MEDIA" name of my stereo listed there. I tried to select it and it disappeared and I haven't seen it since. Anyone else have this problem or know how to get music to stream through bluetooth?
