Motorola :: Droid 3 IS Soak Test FOR Bionic
Sep 12, 2011We've had nothing but problems, and Verizon nor Moto through any sort of advertising weight behind these phones.What's more, you can't really even buy one right now, because everyone is "sold out."Pft.More like, they aren't selling anymore because we were the soak test guinea pigs for the Bionic, and they know that the D3 is a buggy mess and people are returning them in hordes for replacements.We have the same exact everything, except less RAM, and adding LTE.So in other words they worked out the software (and probably hardware as well) kinks on us with less RAM so that coding for something with more RAM would be easy. So the plot is, quietly release a phone so that only people who read tech blogs would know about it (aka, low sales) and then wait to see what issues arise from this extended real world soak test so they will have some additional last minute data for the Bionic.

Very often, while Im in the games, it will say it is searching for the network, or it is doesn't have a network connection.I've switched to WiFi when I can, and still have the issue.I've noticed when I look at he phone now, the 4G symbol is white, then turns blue.seem to remember it always being blue.Does it sound like it's the games having the issue, the games causing the issue, or an issue with the phone?I would prefer to NOT do a hard reset. It always takes me about 2 or more hours to get the phone back the way I want it.Is anyone noticing the same thing, or does anyone have any thoughts

Nov 28, 2011Does anyone know of any surefire way to transfer files to and from the Bionic to a windows 7 PC?
I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Motorola Droid Bionic :: Bionic Apps Cannot Get Data Connection
Nov 17, 2011Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).

At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?

However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."

Oct 2, 2011Have experienced this with a couple of applications (Freecaddie Pro and My Tracks) the program is suppose to store to SD card and it saves to internal memory. Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.

On the X these would always stay active when surfing the web, playing most games, etc. They now last about 2 minutes before something is killing there processes. I am not using a task killer. It seems to be more of a problem when the X2 is docked.

Usually what I have to do is go into airplane mode and then back out and then things are back. I can't say for sure but I thought there was a time or two where I had to do a power cycle to get things back. Not positive about that. I've only had the phone for a few weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's always done this.

Initially, one of my accounts kept falling out of Push into Fetch.Last night I did a factory reset to see if that would help. Of course, to make things interesting, this morning I had the new firmware update waiting to be installed, so I let that go in.Strange enough, now both my accounts are falling from push to fetch. Im a long time DX user, so I'm sure I have my settings correct. Dec 19, 2012Have just recently bought a Motorola Razr M which is running stock ICS on Telstra in Australia. I am having constant problems with wifi connections dropping in and out whilst at home. It basically will display very good signal then all of a sudden drop out completely and reconnect. This happens without me moving or changing my hand position, sometimes whilst browsing web or downloading and sometimes whilst not using internet at all. It can happen as often as every few seconds or it may go 5-10 minutes before it starts. No other device I own has these problems, including my Motorola Atrix. I have spent hours changing settings in the modem (2.4g only) but nothing makes ANY difference. This is definitely a phone related problem (bug, hardware etc).
