Apr 3, 2012Are we getting it tomorrow in two days, in a week? I would assume that we would get ICS before April 4th, and but you never know. Does anybody know when the soak test starts?

View 9 RepliesHow does someone sign up for a future Soak Test? I know its probably a definately NO to signing up for the ICS 4.x soak test on Droid RAZR on Verizon since RAZR/RAZR Maxx users are already getting emails. Im not worried about that. But, in the future, i would like to be part of a grand list of possible random number of select people to be part of a soak test for 4.1.x or 4.2.x or 5.0 Jellybean or whatever.

View 14 Replies View RelatedWe've had nothing but problems, and Verizon nor Moto through any sort of advertising weight behind these phones. What's more, you can't really even buy one right now, because everyone is "sold out."Pft.More like, they aren't selling anymore because we were the soak test guinea pigs for the Bionic, and they know that the D3 is a buggy mess and people are returning them in hordes for replacements. We have the same exact everything, except less RAM, and adding LTE.So in other words they worked out the software (and probably hardware as well) kinks on us with less RAM so that coding for something with more RAM would be easy. So the plot is, quietly release a phone so that only people who read tech blogs would know about it (aka, low sales) and then wait to see what issues arise from this extended real world soak test so they will have some additional last minute data for the Bionic.

I don't care if its ICS or that small bug fix I like getting updates. I also like giving my feed back on products, mainly technology obviously. Is there anyway to guarantee getting the invite or is it picked at random?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI had problems with my bionic getting back on the network after losing 4G coverage. Switched to Razr and it has been much better. Does anyone know how ICS will handle this issue? How do you get on the list to test ICS on your Razr?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my Wife's droid razr, every time the phone boots up, blue tooth starts up. It seems to start up right after the phone starts up my wifi. There are no smart action running that should cause the blue tooth to start up. If doesn't automatically start up on my razr, only on my wife's phone. Even when I turn off blue tooth before I shut down the phone, it still starts up on restarting the phone.
View 14 Replies View RelatedWeird glitch I noticed in the first 2-3 days post ICS. Everything seems to be normal with the phone, except for the fact that when I plug it into a charger, this will automatically trigger the device to start playing the same song. The song plays all the way through once and then ends, after which everything is normal again. While the song is playing, I can't determine which program is responsible for playing the music so that I can stop it. There is no app or icon that pops up to indicate that music is being played, it's just as if the music is being conjured out of thin air. If I try playing a track on either Google Music or My Music during this time, the second track will start playing at the same time as the first, almost as if the software doesn't recognize that another song is already playing.
Again, this only occurs when I plug the phone into a charger. Happens consistently whether it's a wall charger, usb or car charger. I've been searcing like crazy through Settings and Smart Actions to see what's causing it, but have come up empty so far. Tried rebooting a few times (both hard and soft reset), clearing out the cache....everything except a factory reset which I'd prefer to avoid if at all possible. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've been scrolling through various message boards but haven't seen any examples of this yet.
some other droid news sites are reporting droid 4 ics soak is dropping soon. what do you think about the D4 possibly soaking before the bionic?

When I try to do much of anything with the phone, the notification bar will disappear and the green light at the top starts blinking. After this happens, I cannot receive any test messages or phone calls. the only way that I can get the phone to work correctly again is to cut it off and reboot it. Yesterday it showed the update for the new software but wouldn't download it.

View 11 Replies View RelatedTHis is really strange. I power down my Driod X and confirm that it is shut down. When I return a few hours later, I find that the Droid has turned itself back on. I even tried the new Sleep mode (which is supposed to power off all radios), but when I check it later, it is on and receiving messages, emails, etc. Does the Droid X have an feature that turns it on when it receives a message, etc? IS there a way to turn this off.
PS. I don't like using hte Airplane Mode, because it doesn't always turn the radios back on properly when I turn it off. Have to restart Droid to get everything working properly.
I don't have any DLNA compatible devices. I don't want DLNA. It starts automatically and takes up 3GB of memory. I can't remove it because it is part of the bloat.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever you turn on the phone, or whenever you come back from a blank screen, my Motorola Droid Turbo always starts at the default Phone app. This is really frustrating because you have to close this screen before you can get to the Home screen to do anything else. It also has been the cause of a number of accidental dialings since it defaults to the Speed Dial screen and all the dial buttons are there ready to use. Is there any way to change this? I want to just boot to the home screen, like every other phone I have used.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWent to bed last night with battery life showing 60% remaining after starting fully charged. This was a typical day of use and I usually get to bedtime on battery day #2 before I need to recharge. Imagine my surprise when I looked at my phone today and I had only 30% battery remaining! Looked at the battery monitor and WeatherBug had used 18% of the battery. Seems it was awake for hours. I hadn't changed any settings and I had previously not noticed any battery drain from WeatherBug. (Settings are on update every 30 minutes, and I have location services off.)
View 14 Replies View RelatedEver since the operating system upgrade, the music player starts playing music when ever I answer a phone call.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMost of the time when a call ends and I'm using my H17text headset the damn music player, or whatever media app was last used, will start playing EVEN THOUGH it was not running before the call. That would not be so bad but when you have a phone that's set to lock you have to unlock it and find the damn app that's running to get it to stop. This is just plain STUPID!
I've seen this posted all over the place so Motorola my phone when we know it's a ANDROID bug. What I want to know is how to get it to STOP! I'd rather have to manually restart the damn media app after a call that to have it always start with out me wanting it!
I purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.

I found one glitch with my using it with my X2. After I end a call, the musical player starts automatically. And only when I use the HX550. Has never happened with any other bluetooth. I tried it with MotoSpeak installed and removed. Makes no difference.
