Got the new build for the soak test on tuesday, now my extended battery won't stay alive more than 1 hour. It also seems to never really charge anymore. I've tried everything.
I like the phone alot, and now, its become completely useless
I work in a area of heavy 4G coverage and STILL most of the time the 4G drops out and I have to switch the 4g off to get a web page to display?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe've had nothing but problems, and Verizon nor Moto through any sort of advertising weight behind these phones.What's more, you can't really even buy one right now, because everyone is "sold out."Pft.More like, they aren't selling anymore because we were the soak test guinea pigs for the Bionic, and they know that the D3 is a buggy mess and people are returning them in hordes for replacements.We have the same exact everything, except less RAM, and adding LTE.So in other words they worked out the software (and probably hardware as well) kinks on us with less RAM so that coding for something with more RAM would be easy. So the plot is, quietly release a phone so that only people who read tech blogs would know about it (aka, low sales) and then wait to see what issues arise from this extended real world soak test so they will have some additional last minute data for the Bionic.

I know its probably a definately NO to signing up for the ICS 4.x soak test on Droid RAZR on Verizon since RAZR/RAZR Maxx users are already getting emails. Im not worried about that. But, in the future, i would like to be part of a grand list of possible random number of select people to be part of a soak test for 4.1.x or 4.2.x or 5.0 Jellybean or whatever.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought the extended battery - P893. It was fully charged when conneected to my phone. My phone had @ 10% batter life left. The extended charger bumped the charge up to 60% with no extraneous processes running. The delivered cusomt smart action for the extended battery was activated. That seemed a bit low given the product description and mention on the boards of delivery two full charges. I fully recharged the battery. When my phone was depleted to 20% I connected the extended battery again. The charge was brought up to 60%. Their was no charge left in the battery extender.

I have the extended battery and it seems the only way to get a new one is to buy another battery. My back door barely stays on. Also, are there any plans on marketing skins for the external battery? This would make the phone feel more solid and protect the bezel from scratches.

I've had the phone just over a month and days when I'm at work all day, maybe do some surfing on my lunch or breaks, but nothing to excessive and my battery is down to like 35% when I get home. Before I was going under Settings->Battery and I noticed "Screen" was the number one offender for draining my battery. Which makes sense, it's a bright display and powering it takes a lot of juice. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, however, it's when I started noticing it after installing ICS. Now "Android OS" has replaced it at the top, by a LOT. Here is a list of my top five
Android OS: 58%
Screen: 18%
Cell Standby: 10%
Phone Idle: 7%
Android System: 2%
I don't care if its ICS or that small bug fix I like getting updates. I also like giving my feed back on products, mainly technology obviously. Is there anyway to guarantee getting the invite or is it picked at random?

View 3 Replies View Relatedthe last few days my battery has not even come close to getting me through the day. No new apps. I look at my battery usage and find that Phone Idle is the largest user of my battery. While researching this I find tons of folks who are like "that's normal", but it is almost always even with cell standby. My usage is as follows right now (and this is what it's been like for the past 3 days): phone idle: 37%. Display: 23%, Voice calls: 15%, android OS 10%, Cell standby: 8%. Those are not the numbers anyone else I've spoken to that is running android is seeing. They are seeing phone idle running even or just below cell standby. I'm off battery for 8 hours and down to 25%. I won't make it home before I have to plug in the phone, and for the last 6 months my battery has been making it all day.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI recently bought this generic phone pouch with a belt clip and every once in a while the battery and phone will be completely dead. The pouch covers the phone entirely except for the top which is open and I can slide the phone into the pouch from the top. I am sure that the pouch does not have a magnet ie the phone is not coming out of sleep while in the pouch. Even in Airplane mode and all wireless devices turned off the phone dies. I cannot understand and believe this. The pouch is relatively tight and the only thing I can think of is that somehow the side camera button and/or rocker volume switch combination is being "pressed" while in the pouch and causes the phone to turn on and die.
If the phone battery doesn't die the battery is down by 40% with no use at all during the day ie I always use the phone in Airplane mode while at work. I do not answer the phone while working.What could be causing this? I can just go buy a new pouch but this totally does not make any sense to me.
Im wondering if there is an extended battery for this phone. I found some online but they are thicker and require a different battery door. Im looking for a extended battery in original size.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried calling Verizon, but they won't open a ticket because of a known issue with the .173 update, but everytime I enter a extended network area, I quickly lose data connection. It seems like I hear of quite a few people in my area having this problem. Verizon pushed a hybrid PRL to my phone and the PRL version went from 15098 to 13014. Am I going to just have to wait till they actually send someone to fix a local tower or is this something nation wide?

After the group update I found it shortened slightly compared to with eclair but still good This weekend its suddenly started discharging at a crazy rate! I've twice tried hard reseting the handset but it continues to discharge quickly!I run very few applications. The major 3 being whatapp. Facebook and twitter.

When I try to do much of anything with the phone, the notification bar will disappear and the green light at the top starts blinking. After this happens, I cannot receive any test messages or phone calls. the only way that I can get the phone to work correctly again is to cut it off and reboot it. Yesterday it showed the update for the new software but wouldn't download it.

Anyone else with this issue Perhaps my battery is failing and in need of replacement, but quite coincidental that same day as the update.
