Aug 15, 2011I don't have any DLNA compatible devices. I don't want DLNA. It starts automatically and takes up 3GB of memory. I can't remove it because it is part of the bloat.

Motorola Droid X :: Music Application Starts Automatically?
Jun 24, 2011When I have my phone plugged in to the AUX IN port in my car, the music application starts automatically. If I was fast enough to start a call, it will hang up on the call and the music will start. I have always used the car stereo AUX IN feature to take/make calls. I This problem started a few weeks ago and it is driving me crazy. I stop the music application and as soon as I place another call, the music will start again

Oct 8, 2011I just bought the HX550 and have been using it on my X2. I really like the bluetooth. Probably the best one I have ever used, and I have used many. I found one glitch with my using it with my X2. After I end a call, the musical player starts automatically. And only when I use the HX550. Has never happened with any other bluetooth. I tried it with MotoSpeak installed and removed. Makes no difference.

Jun 14, 2011THis is really strange. I power down my Driod X and confirm that it is shut down. When I return a few hours later, I find that the Droid has turned itself back on. I even tried the new Sleep mode (which is supposed to power off all radios), but when I check it later, it is on and receiving messages, emails, etc. Does the Droid X have an feature that turns it on when it receives a message, etc? IS there a way to turn this off.
PS. I don't like using hte Airplane Mode, because it doesn't always turn the radios back on properly when I turn it off. Have to restart Droid to get everything working properly.
Motorola Droid Turbo :: Always Starts On Phone App Screen?
Jan 1, 2016Whenever you turn on the phone, or whenever you come back from a blank screen, my Motorola Droid Turbo always starts at the default Phone app. This is really frustrating because you have to close this screen before you can get to the Home screen to do anything else. It also has been the cause of a number of accidental dialings since it defaults to the Speed Dial screen and all the dial buttons are there ready to use. Is there any way to change this? I want to just boot to the home screen, like every other phone I have used.

There are no smart action running that should cause the blue tooth to start up. If doesn't automatically start up on my razr, only on my wife's phone. Even when I turn off blue tooth before I shut down the phone, it still starts up on restarting the phone.

Jan 15, 2015Went to bed last night with battery life showing 60% remaining after starting fully charged. This was a typical day of use and I usually get to bedtime on battery day #2 before I need to recharge. Imagine my surprise when I looked at my phone today and I had only 30% battery remaining! Looked at the battery monitor and WeatherBug had used 18% of the battery. Seems it was awake for hours. I hadn't changed any settings and I had previously not noticed any battery drain from WeatherBug. (Settings are on update every 30 minutes, and I have location services off.)

Jul 2, 2012Weird glitch I noticed in the first 2-3 days post ICS. Everything seems to be normal with the phone, except for the fact that when I plug it into a charger, this will automatically trigger the device to start playing the same song. The song plays all the way through once and then ends, after which everything is normal again. While the song is playing, I can't determine which program is responsible for playing the music so that I can stop it. There is no app or icon that pops up to indicate that music is being played, it's just as if the music is being conjured out of thin air. If I try playing a track on either Google Music or My Music during this time, the second track will start playing at the same time as the first, almost as if the software doesn't recognize that another song is already playing.
Again, this only occurs when I plug the phone into a charger. Happens consistently whether it's a wall charger, usb or car charger. I've been searcing like crazy through Settings and Smart Actions to see what's causing it, but have come up empty so far. Tried rebooting a few times (both hard and soft reset), clearing out the cache....everything except a factory reset which I'd prefer to avoid if at all possible. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've been scrolling through various message boards but haven't seen any examples of this yet.
Motorola Droid :: Call Ends And Music Starts When It Was Not Running Before
May 3, 2011Most of the time when a call ends and I'm using my H17text headset the damn music player, or whatever media app was last used, will start playing EVEN THOUGH it was not running before the call. That would not be so bad but when you have a phone that's set to lock you have to unlock it and find the damn app that's running to get it to stop. This is just plain STUPID!
I've seen this posted all over the place so Motorola my phone when we know it's a ANDROID bug. What I want to know is how to get it to STOP! I'd rather have to manually restart the damn media app after a call that to have it always start with out me wanting it!

May 9, 2011I've got my MP3's on a server which DLNA found the first time I ran the program. I transfered the one I wanted. Worked well except for changing the directory they were in. Since then, I've added some music to the server and wanted to use the program to transfer them to my phone. I conneceted to the server with the program, but the folders were not listed. I've looked a refresh setting, but could not found one.

Similarly, one cannot plug in the charger to the phone and then plug the charger into the car outlet - phone does not start charging.
