I can see the list of contacts but when I click on one it flashes and goes back to the home screen. I have rebooted, battery pull, wiped cache, cleared contacts data, nothing helps.
View 3 RepliesWhen using the Droid Razr as a hot spot for my Zoom I cannot access Yahoo.com and a few other sites. When connecting using a conventional wireless hot spot there is no problems. Also tested using an HTC 4gLTE and there was no problems. The issue is specific to the Verizon/Motorola Razr Hot Spot. There seem so be an MTU issue with many sites when only using a Droid Razr as a hot spot, The Razr connects directly to all the sites but the Hot Spot function will not allow certain sites. After repeated calls and Google Searches I found a tech that amited that Verizon / Motorola Droid Razr has an issue with accessing certain sites only in the Hot Spot App. They plan to correct in the next update hopefully in Feb 2012. They suggested the the fix is in Beta. Some of the sites that don't connect are Yahoo.com and Yahoo.mail Microsoft.com some Apple sites. There are more but I didn't have pen at the time.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter the recent GB update on my Droid X2 I am no longer able to access my outloook webmail url using the browser. Before being forced to take the GB update, I could type in https://webmail.medplus.com. I would get a certificate message and after hitting continue I would get the prompt for user name and password. I've tried other browsers with no luck. I've spent hours on the phone with Verizon support and we've narrowed it down to only phone that have GB software. I had this exact same issue with my Droid X when I got that GB update and moved to the X2 because that wasn't supposed to get GB. I've tried other android phones and those without GB I can access the site without issue.
Is anyone else having trouble accessing an outlook webmail url thru their browser with the GB update? My suspicion is that after the update google isn't playing well with microsoft as I've noticed some issues with hotmail post update that didn't exist preupdate.
When accessing a contact group, the bionic will always open the last opened contact group. I worked through some settings with motorola last winter, but the problem has never corrected. I even received a new phone when the speaker jack crapped out, same issue.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently we both just got on Facebook. I was showing her how you can go into contacts and scroll right and see any status updates. She tried it on hers and it was in the dialer. I opened the drawer and hit the contacts icon and it just opened the dialer under the contact tab. Her phone is stock with Launcher Pro. My phone has Launcher Pro but works fine. I have looked all through her phone and done numerous searches and am unable to find the answer about how to get her back to all contacts. She did do the GB update, but I should still be able to see the contacts outside of the dialer. I can't even create a text group for her.

I have tried a factory reset, exporting contacts to SD card and importing, importing from Outlook, removing all contacts from GMail then syncing with Outlook, and just about every other thing I could find online to do. No where do I have the option of deleting all of my contacts and starting over.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought E7 about a month ago. Previosuly had N95 and LOVED IT but I needed to update. I am having problems with my contacts. All my contacts are saved by sim card. I thoght sim was problem but No. Even with replacement sim, I still get errors as described on subject line above. I am thinking about contacting Nokia and get a replacement. I want to add pictures and ring tones to my various contacts but it is not possible with these errors that I am receiving. I try to add a new contact and phone does not allow it by, once again, providing an error as mentioned above. Some times, phone says that memory is full but yet the phone indicates that there are 150 contact slots still available to be used.

how do I access the contacts on the computer so that I can edit them and transfer from another program?
I assigned pics to a bunch of my contacts and was pleased to see they synced over to my Exchange account. All of my Android phones I've had since then (G1, Droid, G2, Sidekick 4) pulled those pictures down from Exchange once I set up my contact sync and showed them in Contacts, when I'd get an incoming call from that person, in the text messaging app, etc.
But, the Droid3 doesn't. I'm guessing this is because it looks like it uses a custom app for Exchange, but still, I'd like to see it fixed/added. FWIW, contact pics from my Google+ contacts do show up.
I had an app on my droid that allowed me to password protect my pictures and also had one that allowed me to assign a folder to them that was not easy to acess. I had to do a reset on my phone and now I can't get to those pictures. They are still on the sd card because I can get to them if i plug into my computer. I have written the developers of the apps but have not gotten any response.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to a Samsung Epic 4G and traded in my old Motorola Devour (using RadioShack's trade in program) and only once I got home realized only about half my contacts where there. It seems some of my contacts were on my Google account, which carried over to the new phone, but many others (and annoyingly, the ones I needed most) were only stored to my Motoblur account. Most other services like this offer a way to recover your contacts in some way, such as a download, when the phone is no longer available. Motorola's support agent on the chat says that the only way to access Motoblur contacts is from a phone with Motoblur on it, and there's no web interface or other means to download my contacts in the event that I choose to upgrade to a phone without Motoblur.
there's a way to get my contacts back without having to go buy a new phone?

Today I'm unable to access it in My Computer, in fact when I plug in the USB plug into the computer with Win 7 Pro it does not give a bing sound that sounds normally when a USB plug it plugged in. the same result when I tried a different hard drive. All my other USB toys work OK. I even installed "MotoHelper_2.0.53_Driver_5.2.0" with no positive results.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHad MPT 5.05, have updated it fully online - 5.31a. Downloaded Motorola Driver Installer 5.20 and did a Clean and Reinstall on those. Windows XP SP3 recognizes phone when plugged in with proper USB cable (Motorola OEM cable for this phone).Clients husbands phone, screen went dark, AT&T said they would have to repair the phone before being able to pull off contact list and photos. Plus charge for the process of pulling off. Right.First thing I noticed, if I plug the USB cable into the phone, then into the USB port on PC while phone is OFF, the outside screen lights up and inside screen lights up with HELLOMOTO splash screen, after a few moments, both screens go dark and will not come back on.
MPT sees that the phone is there, however, constantly returns that it is not ready due to possible OTA or starting up, wait... message when trying to find contacts on the phone.Question - is there something on the phone that needs to be done to put it into a mode where it can talk to the PC?uestion 2 - the screen is not DEAD as I can tell from the HELLOMOTO splash screen, what could be causing it to go dark when leaving that splash screen?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWell for the past 24 hours and counting I cannot access any data unless i have a 4g signal, which doesnt stay on for more than 5 min before that drops. I spent another hour with tech support with no fix so they finally offered a Rezound which i painfully opted for. It is really a dissapointment that with all the months of delay that they could not get this beautiful phone to work for many of us. I hope the Rezound does not have issues like this phone does. Also hope Moto can get back on top next year and I may come back...

Bionic would not accept password, so I clicked on Forgot Password to make sure I was using my correct passowrd. I was sent a temporary password. I chatted with Motorola and they could not access the sites either, saying that the phone doesn't support it. They said they would attempt to fix the problem in the future.
