Motorola Droid Bionic :: Can't Access MyVerizon Mobile
Dec 1, 2011
On my Droid Bionic I can't access MyVerizon Mobile using my user name and password. I can access it fine from a desktop and a laptop. Bionic would not accept password, so I clicked on Forgot Password to make sure I was using my correct passowrd. I was sent a temporary password. On my bionic I entered the temp pw and then entered a new pw.
The mobile hotspot on my bionic has poor range. I can have the phone 15 feet away on the charger and only have 1 bar of signal on my laptop. Other phones I have had with this feature have had alot better range. I could go anywhere in my house and have signal. On the bionic I can only go about 15 feet away before I lose signal.
I recieved the 905 update a few days ago and everything has been going good untill last night when i no long connect to 4glte it only has 3g available.
Well for the past 24 hours and counting I cannot access any data unless i have a 4g signal, which doesnt stay on for more than 5 min before that drops. I spent another hour with tech support with no fix so they finally offered a Rezound which i painfully opted for. It is really a dissapointment that with all the months of delay that they could not get this beautiful phone to work for many of us. I hope the Rezound does not have issues like this phone does. Also hope Moto can get back on top next year and I may come back...
When accessing a contact group, the bionic will always open the last opened contact group. I worked through some settings with motorola last winter, but the problem has never corrected. I even received a new phone when the speaker jack crapped out, same issue.
My only "complaint" is that whenever a call comes in or when I make a call, it always has it on the phonespeaker and not over the car dock audio connected to the radio. I have to press the speaker button to turn it off each time.way to have it default to the speaker being off?
Does anyone know of any surefire way to transfer files to and from the Bionic to a windows 7 PC?
I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa. Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?
Has anyone had a lot of luck with Zumocast on the Bionic playing differenct CODECS? I seems to work awesome but has some CODEC limitations, is there any way to use another video player other then the default Android one (which it appears to be utilizing)?
Any one have any luck getting the FIOS Remote app working on their Bionic? I got it downloaded and followed all the directions but it wouldn't sync up. Home net is a std Verizon issued router (only thing custom is the net name, channel, and crypto key) and the Bionic is able to get on the wifi no problem.
Gmail is my email. I long ago disabled the "conversation" (threaded) view of messages in Gmail iitself on the web, and in settings on any device. However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."
Have experienced this with a couple of applications (Freecaddie Pro and My Tracks) the program is suppose to store to SD card and it saves to internal memory. Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.
I had noticed this problem before with the USB not working with non Motorola cables (INCLUDING ones purchased from VZW before the release of the bionic)5. Issue: USB Cables:The XT875 can only be used with Motorola USB cables.Action: No work around required.Resolution: No resolution required, working as designed and approved by Verizon Wireless.
I cannot connect to app and web access says I have not installed zumocast, app says i need to install zumocast to proceed. have restarted phone and computer several times. have turned off and closed antivirus software. Cold my router be blocking access?
When I go to "My Accounts" on my Droid Bionic, and then click on "Add account", I get the error message "Sorry! The application My Accounts (process com.motorola.setup) has stopped unexpectedly."
I wiped out my Bionic and then re-set everything up, and it was working fine until I added my FB account, and then removed the account. Now I can't add any new accounts at all.
I used Google's https: market.android.com to transfer all my apps from my Droid 1 to my Bionic. By and large it was seemless and quick. However, less than half of my Gallery pictures made it over. Because the Gallery is a stock app and not in the marketplace it is not on the the above market transfer desktop application.I also have astro and estrong on my device.
I'm trying to find the best option for mobile internet access for my Xoom.I've ordered the D-Link DAP350 to be able to get wifi from wired internet, but am looking for a router that will accept an onlocked 3.5G modem. So, I looked at the CNet CQR-981 that will accept a USB modem (which the DAP350 apparently does not)The problem as I see it is that they all need some form of setting up/driver, and those will not be available for Andriod-or am I missing something? BTW, I've tried tethering my Xoom to my Nokia N8 both with wifi and BT.
I go to apps > options > search and boom - "The application Homescreen (processcom.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." [Force close]I have confirmed other users are experiencing this.
I'm not looking for an answer (although if someone has one I'm more than happy to hear it), I'm mostly just putting this here so someone at Moto can read it. I went to use my bluetooth headset and got nothing (a problem I reported earlier), so I rebooted the phone. That fixed the sound, but I noticed I had no network. I saw a post that said it would come back if I toggled airplane mode. It put the phone in airplane mode just fine, but when I asked it to turn off airplane mode, it immediately rebooted.
I know the update is supposed to be rolling out today, and according to vzw you're supposed to be able to do a manual update but every time i check it says i'm up to date and no update is available. so what is the official status is it live or not? or are you only able to do manual if you have an unlocked phone.
There have been multiple reports of people getting stuck after applying the 5.5.901 update. the original fxz file that most use to restore doesnt help after the update. Is there a way we can get the fxz that will fix those who are bricked from the .901 update?
Last night and today, a new icon has appeared on the right side of the notification bar between the battery icon and the time. It looks like a black clipboard with a grey checkmark inside it. Never seen it before and dunno what's it's for?
My phone was having restarting issues before the ICS update, it was happening every other day or so but when the ICS update came through it appeared that my phone was fine.
In the last week and a half or so all of a sudden it would start suddenly resetting, 4 times in the middle of calls that I can remember definitely and 3 or 4 times while it was sitting on the counter charging (once multiple times in a row). It doesn't seem to be tied to any specific action and I was wondering if there is any kind of diagnosis or app that I can run to try to figure out of it's a memory/freezing problem?
my LED light will not shut off rendering what should be a "feature" into an "I'm this close to getting a hammer and going to town" incident.Wish there was a way to turn it off entirely.I don't know what else to check.
- gmail - Gtalk - SMS - Work mail - Twitter (only have the twitter app signed in not the other) - Even power off / power on has no effect
Every android phone I've had (Droid, Inc, tbolt etc) has done this. But none has flashed the LED for hours. I'm not sure if it ever turns off.
I have a Bionic from the day after release and a friend has a newer Bionic. I have some camera lag and small issues similar to a lot of people here, but he doesn't seem to have any problems. If you look at the label under the battery, you will see what I assume is a hardware revision number. Mine is "HW A" and his is "HW B". Anyone know the revisions if I am assuming right? The next line has what I believe to be a manufacture date. I think mine was 27/11 (week of 2011) and his was 42/11.
how to use the camera so that this doesn't happen? I stopped taking pics with my OD because of this issue and I thought it would be resolved with the Bionic.
I've had my Bionic since the first week it came out, and, while I generally love the phone, I have had just about every documented problem in existence; I'm fairly sure the employees at my local Verizon store just think I'm trying to scam them into giving me a new phone. Originally, I had the usual data and service connectivity issues-while this was annoying, and did lead to getting me lost in rural Alabama, it seems to have been resolved as I haven't had problems with that in nearly 2 weeks. Then I had the random and frequent power off/black screen of death issues, where even battery pulls wouldn't work. The guy at the Verizon store did a factory reset and everything seemed to be fine for all of 2 weeks. Starting today, my phone will not charge at all. I have used 4 different cables, including the stock USB one that came with the phone, and it will not charge past 5 or 10 percent, and it takes a good hour to get that far. I've also tried charging it in multiple outlets, on my laptop, and using a car charger. Same thing. This is obnoxious, to say the least. To complicate matters, the black screen of death has returned with a vengeance. As of me writing this, I cannot get my phone to respond at all, again, on any charger. I've tried multiple battery pulls, and letting it charge in excess of 30 minutes before attempting to power on, and nothing is working. Every so often I'm lucky enough to get the phone to turn on, just to have it turn back off within 20 minutes or so, all the while remaining at 5% battery. I paid for the insurance from Verizon, but there's no way I'm paying $90 for a replacement phone when I've done nothing to damage the phone-it's been in a case since the first week after I bought it. I'm going back to the Verizon store tomorrow, and unless some miracles occur before then, I'll just refuse to leave without either a new phone, or the RAZR.
