When I save an email it says saving and then shows me it wnet into a "messaging folder". When I go to folders there is nothing called messaging, and when opening and checking all folders it is not there. I would like the non-deleted emails to remain available on my phone. How? I have the Droid X w android 2.3.3.
View 2 RepliesAll of a sudden, my emails, MAILBOX, are not going into my inbox. They go to an archive folder with no notification. I had this problem several months ago. But I don't remember how I solved the problem.

If I come across a picture on Twitter and press the three vertical dots and select save image, where is the image being saved to and how can I get to it? It's definitely not saving in the gallery.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI intermittantly have a problem with my camera/video camera not saving my files. I just took a ton of awesome pictures at an art festival, got home excited the check out how good they were, and ALL but 2 are gone. Never saved. I have no idea why, I didn't close out the camera app too fast, each photo moved down to the bottom left as a thumb before I took another, or closed the app. Any idea what's going on? Any way to recover these great pics? This is really a pain as I have also lost great concert videos as well.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone run across Phone #'s failing to be saved? I'm not using anything but the stock directory. I get a phone call or make a call then go to the recent list and go through all the steps to save new contact, including "SAVE" as the last step and the next day it is not there. It is still in the recent calls list but without a name. It happened last week and I was sure I did it right but this week it happened again and I was thinking about last week so I know I "SAVED" as the last step. Does it make a difference if I go "Back" or just go straight to "Home" when finished?

Every time i create a new contact, it comes up at the top as Google Contact and when i create the contact it gets saved to google account.If i delete the google contact, all the contacts gets deleted too. I just want to save my contacts to my phone memory and not on google.
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo far I have been able to assign a ringtone to only 1 contact. For all the others I have tried thus far, I select the ringtone that I want, hit OK and it goes back to the default ringtone. This is strictly the Phone Contact list. I am not using any social networking apps at this time. I do use the Verizon Backup Assistant for my contacts, but that has never been an issue on any of my previous phones. This is the same contact list that was restored from my old phone to this one and the contacts have not changed.

At minimum, I would like a shortcut to the sepecific data file. Example; I use a simple Microsoft word calendar template to do scheduling for the month. I email the file to myself and save it to the messaging folder. Everytime I need to check who is working, etc....I have to go through the "My Files" shortcut, messaging, then the file I need. Would like to just save the data file or a direct link to it on my homescreen very similar to (gulp) windows.

I have the incoming and outgoing servers set up correctly (GoDaddy gave me the info). For instance, I will get one email while I am at lunch but when I get back to my desk top computor at work I'll see that I have more emails sitting there that didn't come through on my phone.

People send me emails and ask what will this or that cost. when I'm in the field I don't want to clack away a long response so I created three or four paragraphs telling about my services and send them in emails to my phone. right now they are residing in my messages folder on my desk top. I created a blank folder next to it called email messages. I want to put my info blurbs in there but don't know how to do it. then, when a prospect sends my bb a message saying how much do you charge, I can shoot them a paragraph about me and try to hook em.
can you give me a step by step how to do this? I have an 8530 curve.
Just upgraded my wife's phone to the S6 from Verizon Wireless. She had an S4 previously. Problem is with the stock android email app on this phone: On the S4 when she would save an email it would save it to the "Saved email" folder. She could then open the saved emails in that folder and it would have any attachment saved with the email. She could then open the attachment if she wished.
The S6 email app allows her to save an email, but the options menu says it will save the email as a FILE. When accessing these saved emails she discovered only the text of the email was saved. The attachments are not saved with the emails.
This is a completely ridiculous and stupid change by Samsung or Google, whichever is the one who is responsible for that app. I am surprised other users have not complained about this, I did not see anything about this on the 'net when searching.
My wife uses this phone for business and needs to access the attachments in the emails her clients send her. I understand she can save the attachments to the phone, but they go into a location in the "My Files" on the phone. It is a lot easier to access an email from a client, be able to read what they sent, and then open the attachment from within that email. If she has to save the emails and attachments separately there is nothing to link the two together and she would have to do what I think is many unnecessary steps to access both things.
I use the standard pop3 email to connect with my website's inbox on my Droid. I have just noticed that a certain number of emails that were in my inbox were deleted on my phone. I can see them in my trash folder on the phone but I need to put them back in the inbox or any other folder that I can get to them using outlook on my computerFrom what I can tell my only option is to delete them permanently.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've had this phone for about a year and have always had issues of not receiving Hotmail emails within a reasonable amount of time. With the GB update it did get a little better but today when I turned on my phone at 7am and it's now 10:30am I have not received any emails. I checked my Hotmail account on a desktop pc and I had 12 emails since last night as recently as 15 minutes ago. I thought GB was supposed to fix this. My battery life is not better if possibly worse with GB. And yes my Droid X does turn back on when I turn it off. Looks like GB may have fixed some things but broke others

Inexplicably, sometimes when I delete emails, they reappear as a new incoming email either the same day or even many days after deletion.Sometimes, I can delete the same email multiple times before it stops reappearing.I do not want to change the setting on my RoadRunner set-up to "delete after reading" because then I will not see these emails when I get home from work and login on my laptop or my desktop.Somehow, the Droid cannot seem to distinguish that an email has already been read and deleted.

But the Turbo doesn't have a 'native' email app so I downloaded the Outlook app. Many emails that I 'send' don't show in 'Sent' folder (or received by recipient). Tech support says they're aware of the problem and are working on it. But for now I'm stuck without a trustworthy email app.

I called Verizon to ask if I could hide it or delete it since it makes the readable screen smaller, and the rep said no...it can't be hidden or deleted.
Y emails don't update althought settings are to do so. Also they don't sync so if I delete on computer or phone, they don't delete on the other.
