Motorola Droid X :: New Menu Bar At Bottom Of Page Of Emails?
Oct 5, 2011
Now with the update, a menu bar appears at the bottom of the page of the email that I have chosen to read.
I called Verizon to ask if I could hide it or delete it since it makes the readable screen smaller, and the rep said no...it can't be hidden or deleted.
Apparently a recently added app randomly places a white star with a red dot in it..Along with the time, temp, battery icons..The ads vary, the one there now is meet singles.. When I find out which app it is, it's gone with a note to the creator.. Is there a way to find the app doing it.. This is the first time I've seen any ads since day one!!!! Ad only pops up when you touch the start then a little box you can X out or tap in the box to open the link.
I recently updated from 3.1.3 to 4.0.1, I had blackra1n installed before and switched to jailbreakme.com.. Everything works fine except now I have a half inch space under my dock at the home screen, even my wallpaper is shrunken.
I have the iphone 3GS and I accidentally put the voice control on last night and now when I go into the settings page it wont let me scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Has anyone else noticed an issue where you get haptic feedback anytime you touch anywhere on the bottom of the screen? I mean like on the very bottom even below the dock icons.
Looks like I will be heading to Verizon tomrrorow for an exchage on my DROID after 3 weeks with it. Today, suddenly, the bottom icons are no longer responding to touch. I cannot click the phone dialer, SMS, camera or app icons. Anything above this first row still works fine. I did a factory reset on the phone and still no luck.
The three navigation buttons at the bottom of my phone have been starting to disappear. Once I had to restart the phone to have them return. The other two times it has happened the buttons return within a few seconds. I'm hoping this is software related. Will try to grab screen shot next time it happens.
I was just using the Bionic to check email when bang, everything disapeared. o email screen, no phone icon or other bottom row and now notifications.All I had was 3 or 4 icons per screen and I could look at the screens double tapping the home and getting the big view. But most apps were missing from the home pages though and none would start. I finally realized that I was seeing a zoomed image of the home page scroller screens.I tried everything to get to the apps drawer but couldn't. I wanted to snap a screengrabber.I had to shut it down, restart and phone is back to normal.The image I'm attaching is mocked up from a capture I made with no background. Wish I could have captured it for real.
RAZR Maxx My problem is about the 4 bottom icons/buttons/keys (Menu, Home, Back, Search) not lighting properly. When in a fairly dark room they always stay lit. Last night before sundown the icons were not lit. It was too dark to see them without being lit. It also depended on the position. I do not know if this was due to internal position sensors or just getting different levels of light from the light sensors. I called Verizon Tech Support and they said this was normal. It may be "normal" but hard to use the phone if I cannot see the icons/buttons/keys.
so at the bottom of my screen I have a blue bar that flicks ... its not an app or something I put there. its the screen. can someone tell me what this is or should I just get a replacement.
If you are texting with the keyboard open, autocompletions come up on the bottom of your screen.If you then hit "home" or "back" a few times, you will be at the home screen. But, if your keyboard is still open, the auto suggestions are still there!Even more annoying, if you actually click on them, they will go back into your texting program that isn't even on the screen. The next time you go in there, additional words may be in the input box.To get rid of it, opening the browser and hitting back seems to work, sometimes. Closing the keyboard also gets rid of it...but it will come right back if you open the keyboard again.
Does anyone know of a way to put the shortcut that takes you directly to the dialer in the bottom four icons? There is the one shortcut that you can put in the bottom four can take you to the dialer (as long as the dialer was the last thing you used) or to your contacts (if that was the last thing you used). The one I would like to be able to put on the bottom is the dialer shortcut that can take you to the dial pad no matter what. I can put that shortcut anywhere but in the bottom four. Does anyone know of a way to put the shortcut to the direct dialer down on the bottom without having to use something like launcher pro or ADW?
I have a white shadow/blotch in the bottom center of my screen. It is most visible when viewing something with a white background, like most web pages. My phone is lesst than 1 year old and has not suffered any blunt force trauma to the screen.
When I delete text messages they still show at the bottom of the text message screen as dec 31, 1969, when I open it nothing is there, is there a way to get rid of them and make it stop doing that?
I got my 9900 in October, 2011. Sometimes when I use it, the pointer always points the upside of the page even though I choose the bottom option. and it totally loses control.
Been using the N900 for a few weeks now, replacing one of my superb E90s. So far, sort of so good, the major differences in the user interface are causing a few issues, but I sort of expected that!Does anyone have any answers to the following please?
1. Is there some way of being notified of my emails better? I have four accounts on my Nokia Messaging account, and I have to open each one and check each inbox individually. Pain in the neck; is there an app that shows on the main menu screen what new emails are in which box?
2. Can SMS be marked read? My N900 keeps reporting that I have so many new SMSs, but I have actually read them;
3. Why do all my contacts' birthdays come up twice in the calendar? That's just annoying - it looks as though the N900 is adding a birthday automatically;
4. Is there a setting to allow the system to change from portrait to landscape and back again? My device only seems to do this on a few applications - is this normal?
5. Skype - is there a way to see which contacts are on line, other than having to wade through the contact lists? I have over 2,000 contacts and it is pretty time consuming, if I am just looking for a chat with anyone about.
My Droid 2 Global does this, too, so it doesn't seem to be specific to the D3, but if you've scrolled down a bit on a webpage, then you tap a link, the new page that you will navigate to will position itself approximately at the same position rather than starting you at the top.Give it a try on these forums. Go back to the topic list, scroll down a bit (maybe half way), then tap a link. More times than not, you will be placed roughly halfway down the new page, making you scroll up to read the page from the top.
After the OTA update on Sunday, my Menu Key no longer works. The response is:Sorry! The application Launcher (process.com.modaco.android.launchergb) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.Force close Report
whilst fiddling with my new X6 i somehow managed to move the maps icon from the main menu page into the internet file.How do i get it back to the menu page please?.
how to add a widget to the home screen? i have a battery widget i want to add but if i tap and hold on the main page all i get are options for wallpapers?
A week ago I went to make a phone call hit the icon on my home page without looking to see it had been replaced with the Kindle app icon..and of course...opens the Kindle app. Now, in order to make a phone call...I have to open my contacts, press the dialer, and then make the call. A lot of extra effort for a phone call when the main function of the phone is making phone calls.
maybe I should just wait another two weeks and go buy an iPhone. Renewal is just around the corner.
I have the multimedia base (desktop cradle) for my Droid X. Every time I click on the 'home' button it goes to the home screen for the MultiMedia Base, and not the regular Droid home menu. This is a pain, because every time I want to use an app, I first have to press the 'X' on the MultiMedia home screen to get to the regular Droid menu.The worst thing about the Multimedia menu, is that on many phone calls I recieve while the phone is in the Multimedia base, when I 'X' out of the menu, it goes to the Droid menu and not to the Answer Phone window...by the time i get to the menu to answer the phone the caller is gone.
