I have a white shadow/blotch in the bottom center of my screen. It is most visible when viewing something with a white background, like most web pages. My phone is lesst than 1 year old and has not suffered any blunt force trauma to the screen.

I'm dot sure what I did but I accidently pushed something and I don't know what it was but I can't pull those things up anymore.

I cannot click the phone dialer, SMS, camera or app icons. Anything above this first row still works fine. I did a factory reset on the phone and still no luck.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf you are texting with the keyboard open, autocompletions come up on the bottom of your screen.If you then hit "home" or "back" a few times, you will be at the home screen. But, if your keyboard is still open, the auto suggestions are still there!Even more annoying, if you actually click on them, they will go back into your texting program that isn't even on the screen. The next time you go in there, additional words may be in the input box.To get rid of it, opening the browser and hitting back seems to work, sometimes. Closing the keyboard also gets rid of it...but it will come right back if you open the keyboard again.

In some apps (and only some), at the very bottom of the screen there is a single row of white pixels that extends across the entire width of the screen, and is obviously most noticable in apps that have dark background colours. Just some things I've noticed:
- It isn't visible when on the lockscreen, or basically anywhere in the core OS
- It doesn't matter whether I'm using the light or dark theme, the problem remains the same
- It seems a lot less likely to happen/show when I'm in an app that uses an app bar at the bottom
- I think it's related to the display/positioning of app backgrounds, as I haven't seen this happen in apps that don't have backgrounds.
Just started happening today. When I turn my phone on, instead of getting the lock screen I get a white screen that just has the emergency call box at the bottom. I can get no further than this. When I touch emergency call, I can see the bar at the top with pending notifications, but no way to get there. I can hear the incoming text notification. I can receive a call. On the white screen, I can see the faint images of home and back at the bottom. I have rebooted, removed the battery. when I start in safe mode, I see the same white screen, but it does say safe mode at the bottom, but still can't do anything or get any further.

The home button, power button and sound button work fine, I have tried turning the phone on and off again and I have done a 'hard rest' I have even plugged it into the computer and done a back up and update. None of which worked and after the update the screen was completely unusable.Â
I have never dropped my phone or damaged it in anyway.

I always noticed a very subtle shading about a half-inch wide around the screen of my Xoom. In the last few days, I've noticed that it's much more pronounced, particularly on a blue background. It's very distracting when watching videos. I've tried various players, formats, etc...but I even see it on the home screen if I have a blue background set. Is my screen defective?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had a white spot on my screen that is about a 1/4" in diameter for a few weeks now. It is about an inch above the Z in the Verizon logo at the bottom of the screen. It only really shows up on white/light backgrounds such as webpages. I was living with it fine until a few days ago it appears that there is a huge amount of light bleed coming from the whole bottom of the screen now. It almost appears as if the LCD is separating from the screen and allowing light through.
If you take the battery cover off the phone and press on the battery where the spot is in the screen it causes a ripple/wave effect in the screeen, just like if you press on an LCD monitor. I assume that with use overtime the battery has heated/cooled and expanded into the LCD components of the phone, so when you press on it, it is probably directly touching the LCD components. I use my phones for music/movies/games and it is not uncommon for the back of the phone to get fairly warm under my usage.
I've had my phone about 11 months, I went by a VZW corporate store and they are sending me a refurb from what I gathered. But I'm guessing this is a battery/design issue and my new/refurb isn't going to make it much longer than 11 months or so.
This is kind of a question/fyi for people since a lot of DX users are probably nearing the 12 month mark of owning a DX.
This happens when I'm using apps that have a large percentage of white screen space (Google Books, browser between page loads, etc), or at least that's the only time I've noticed it.The whites on the screen are usually a cool white, but sometimes the entire white area of the screen will abruptly shift to a pinker hue and then back after several seconds. The first few times this happened I wondered if it was some kind of response to ambient light, like the auto dimming feature. However, I can't force it to happen, even by tilting/moving the phone or covering the light sensor right after it happens.
Does it sounds like an indication of a malfunctioning screen and something I should talk to Verizon about replacing? It's not a problem, just puzzling, but I just purchased the phone about two weeks ago so if this is a sign of a defect I want to fix it before it does cause problems.
Has anyone else seen some white distortion across the screen right above where you swipe? Its really noticeable on bright backgrounds. I thought my screen was just getting old but when they replaced my phone because of the restart issue(didn't know it was on OS bug) it was still there! I am also having an issue where my volume buttons stop working about every three days, I have to restart the phone to fix it. I thought it was the lens or the plastic film covering the lens. I was wrong and it appears the issue is with the sensor itself. T-Mobile is sending me another unit.
This is an expensive piece of tech. So make sure you check everything the first days you own it to ensure you are not stuck with a defected one.
I removed (maybe deleted?) my Command center. Want it back but can't seem to find it in apps or widgets of the play store.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got my Droid Turbo, and while I was setting it up I vaguely remember seeing a settings screen for the command center widget. I didn't really understand yet what the command center was at that time, so I didn't change any of the settings. Now, however, I'm trying to get back to see what setting changes are possible and for the life of me can't figure out how to get to the settings screen.
When I tap on an open area of the command center near the top left (right under where the target GPS icon is displayed), a screen opens up for a VERY BRIEF quarter of a second and the top says "Command Center", as if that is going to open the settings screen. But then it immediately changes to the weather detail screen.
how do I get back to it?
On my Moto Droid Turbo I am using the Command Center widget and for the most part, like it a lot. I had a question about the calendar(s) that it polls to show on the right side. It is showing an other calendar I have access too, even though on my calendar app, I have it set to not display.
Is there a way the Command Center widget can be told what calendar(s) to use? The entries it shows me are not really important to me for the most part (I only have access to the other calendar for occasional reference).
I am able to pair the bionic to the Mercedes E350 2011 command center but cannot transfer the contacts from the phone to the car.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was just using the Bionic to check email when bang, everything disapeared. o email screen, no phone icon or other bottom row and now notifications.All I had was 3 or 4 icons per screen and I could look at the screens double tapping the home and getting the big view. But most apps were missing from the home pages though and none would start. I finally realized that I was seeing a zoomed image of the home page scroller screens.I tried everything to get to the apps drawer but couldn't. I wanted to snap a screengrabber.I had to shut it down, restart and phone is back to normal.The image I'm attaching is mocked up from a capture I made with no background. Wish I could have captured it for real.
