My iphone 5s started showing small white square boxes on the bottom of the screen, is there anyway i can fix them without going to the apple store. because I have purchased the phone from UK and is it still under the warranty, now I am working in Dubai apple do not provide international warranty i guess .

My IPhone 5S is about 8 months old and still under warranty.
4 days back faint gray lines started appearing on the bottom of the screen. After another day a small black spot appeared on one side of the grey lines and it has been growing since then.
I visited Apple Service Centre yesterday. They could not diagnose the issue so they sent some pictures to the Singapore team for escalation. I had a word with the singapore team today and they tell me that the black spot is likely due to pressure damage and they will not cover this under warranty.
On being quizzed further, they do not have any clue why the grey lines have occurred.
On being asked how come there are no other signs of damage either to my touchscreen or to my screen body, they hilariously replied the pressure damage is from inside the phone.
When asked how they think I could have applied pressure from inside my phone, they are clueless again.

I have been using my phone all day with no issues however when I got home and went for a shower and came back the screen had a white patch on the bottom half making the touch screen unusable.Â
The home button, power button and sound button work fine, I have tried turning the phone on and off again and I have done a 'hard rest' I have even plugged it into the computer and done a back up and update. None of which worked and after the update the screen was completely unusable.Â
I have never dropped my phone or damaged it in anyway.
My home screen is white. The icons on the panel are really tiny and scattered around. I keep getting error this and error that when i try to open an app or anything. I cant play my music. Basically my phone doesnt look normal and i already tried turning it back on and off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my nokia n97 mini for just over a month now and love it! but just a small issue with the apps.i've downloaded a couple but they havent appeared in my apps folder.so i went into : menu > settings > application mgr. > installrd apps most of the apps have what looks like a puzzle peice with a small red square in the bottom right corner of the "puzzel peice", however, the apps i have downloaded but werent showing in the apps folder had a little blue square instead of red.so im not sure what that means and i've searched the internet but could'nt find an answer! So if you can understand what im talking about your help would be much appreciated!

View 8 Replies View RelatedIn some apps (and only some), at the very bottom of the screen there is a single row of white pixels that extends across the entire width of the screen, and is obviously most noticable in apps that have dark background colours. Just some things I've noticed:
- It isn't visible when on the lockscreen, or basically anywhere in the core OS
- It doesn't matter whether I'm using the light or dark theme, the problem remains the same
- It seems a lot less likely to happen/show when I'm in an app that uses an app bar at the bottom
- I think it's related to the display/positioning of app backgrounds, as I haven't seen this happen in apps that don't have backgrounds.
Just started happening today. When I turn my phone on, instead of getting the lock screen I get a white screen that just has the emergency call box at the bottom. I can get no further than this. When I touch emergency call, I can see the bar at the top with pending notifications, but no way to get there. I can hear the incoming text notification. I can receive a call. On the white screen, I can see the faint images of home and back at the bottom. I have rebooted, removed the battery. when I start in safe mode, I see the same white screen, but it does say safe mode at the bottom, but still can't do anything or get any further.

I can still answer calls if I slide my finger across the screen in the correct area, but I can not see anything but white. wife's Atrix's browser has a white square on top of the screen whenever she opens the browser. I tried to move it but it won't move. It doesn't respond when I pinch my fingers together to zoom out. This happens only with the browser. I can se some part of the webpages on the upper part of the screen and some on the lower part.But the middle is covered by that square.

Also tried reloading the OS although it has the latest version of 6.0.0.264 using application loader yesterday. It did not work either. But today morning I went to carphone warehouse, they tried to tweak it but in vain. They suggested it was a hardware problem and had to be sent to bb support (which takes 28 days!!) It was still showing a blank screen. When i reached home, surprisingl y the cell phone was fine (dun ask how). I restored the data which i had saved on the laptop. After a few min tried calling up a friend, and the cell went blank again. I just pressed alt, right caps and del n it seemed to be fine again. Tried calling up and problem still persists.
