The bottom of my LCD has started leaking so, I'm unable to see when typing messages. Is the any way to orient the screen so I can see typing from top of screen instead? I'm in the process of getting the screen replaced but life must go on until replacement has arrived.

4 days back faint gray lines started appearing on the bottom of the screen. After another day a small black spot appeared on one side of the grey lines and it has been growing since then.
I visited Apple Service Centre yesterday. They could not diagnose the issue so they sent some pictures to the Singapore team for escalation. I had a word with the singapore team today and they tell me that the black spot is likely due to pressure damage and they will not cover this under warranty.
On being quizzed further, they do not have any clue why the grey lines have occurred.
On being asked how come there are no other signs of damage either to my touchscreen or to my screen body, they hilariously replied the pressure damage is from inside the phone.
When asked how they think I could have applied pressure from inside my phone, they are clueless again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time I charge my iPhone 4 with the Apple iPhone Charger (5 W) I get this gooey substance inside the dock connector of the device itself and on the charger. This started almost a week ago. The substance does not smell of rust or anything.
The device itself is half a year old, never had contact with water, never ran too hot and was never dropped. It does run quite hot under heavy load and while being charged, however judging from many many forum posts that's a regular thing for the iPhone 4/4S.
It behaves normally, charges normally and holds its charge just like you would expect from a regular iPhone 4.
I don't think this is battery related as it only appears to happen when I'm charging the device (why would the battery only leak when being charged?). However, except for the polymer gel inside the battery, there's nothing else inside the device that could possibly leak.

I'm just trying to get started with BBM Voice. BB Messenger v7.0.0.126 is installed. Wi-fi is connected.When I go into each Contact to send a message I expect to see a BBM Voice icon - grey or green etc but I see no icon.

The screen goes black and then I cannot turn the phone back on without removing the battery, waiting 30 seconds and the replacing it.I have tested a new battery and this has not helped. View 6 Replies View RelatedI got my new Bold 9900 about two weeks ago. I noticed today that there is thin black line that across my camera screen. This line is near the bottom of the camera screen and is in photos I take. This line will move downwards as I zoom in and disappears if I zoom in enough (and won't be in the pictures taken when zoomed in enough).
This line doesn't appear when I change to video camera. BTW my conveneice key which currently on the default option (camera) is EXTREMELY hard to activitate...I need to press REALLY hard!

When emailing, or more importantly replying to emails the signature is placed at the very bottom of the email string. The signature is not placed at the end of the body of the message. If this doesnt make sense to all of you let me go further - if you are sending a reply to someone, your signature will show as the last line or lines on the message instead of after your main text and before the original email.
This happened to me when I had a BB 8820 and now with the BB 9700 I am starting to notice it. What puzzles me is that it does not happen all of the time. Has anyone done any testing with different mail servers? Is RIM working on a resolution for this issue? I think that it is great that people have mentioned using auto text and so on but thats not a solution, that is a work around.
Is there a way to make the panels drop to the bottom of the screen and not show any icons.

I downloaded a few apps and all of a sudden it started showing the little loading clock on almost everything I ran, so I deleted a few apps and voala!. It was working good again.
