IPhone :: 4 Leaking Brown Gooey Substance When Charging?

Every time I charge my iPhone 4 with the Apple iPhone Charger (5 W) I get this gooey substance inside the dock connector of the device itself and on the charger. This started almost a week ago. The substance does not smell of rust or anything.
The device itself is half a year old, never had contact with water, never ran too hot and was never dropped. It does run quite hot under heavy load and while being charged, however judging from many many forum posts that's a regular thing for the iPhone 4/4S.
It behaves normally, charges normally and holds its charge just like you would expect from a regular iPhone 4.
I don't think this is battery related as it only appears to happen when I'm charging the device (why would the battery only leak when being charged?). However, except for the polymer gel inside the battery, there's nothing else inside the device that could possibly leak.

I have had my IPhone 4 for about a year now, about 3 months ago, I noticed a white substance eluding from underneath, I assumed it to be glue. It has now completely covered the home button square and makes it appear very unsightly. A couple of days a go I noticed how the home button feels like it has sunk into the phone, you are only now able to push it partially down to use it. Multitasking now is fairly intermittent.

The bottom of my LCD has started leaking so, I'm unable to see when typing messages. Is the any way to orient the screen so I can see typing from top of screen instead? I'm in the process of getting the screen replaced but life must go on until replacement has arrived.

I dropeed my iPhone and the screen is shattered, but the more annoying part is this brown cluster of something on the side of my screen. It was originally much smaller but throughout the day the brown part moved and is larger. If I get my screen replaced will this go away? Is there any way I can get this fixed without just replacing my phone?

I want to buy 'Topaz Brown' colour E72. I never thought I would be told 'IT WILL NEVER BE AVAILABLE IN UK'! My question is how can a company make this clear cut decision? I mean there could be a whole market of people who prefer this colour therefore why take this risk?
Well, as a customer service person, this is very poor. I was actually told I could get it from another country and ask someone there to buy it then send it to me. At this point I was hoping Nokia would say, we would try to get you to buy one from another country such as France?
Ok, the logic is this, you have a phone in different coulours, you advertise it as such. Why then you dare decide which colour is not appropriate to a particular country?
This brings back memories of the days when cars in black were not allowed because they are synonimous with 'black people' who were considered not human.

I have had AT&T and my Motorola Atrix for a little over a month now. It was a day after my 30 days to return the phone when I noticed that I had a brown line going down the left side of my screen. When I brought the problem up to AT&T they wanted to replace the phone with one of there refurbished phones. I decided to keep my current phone since I just spent 200 dollars on the phone. Last night while charging the phone while it was powered down I noticed that the brown line had now turned green and was bigger but still just on the left side of the phone. I have completed checked for updates and the phones says "up to date". I am lost for what to do I love the phone and leaving Verizon was the best move I made.

When I was watching a movie yesterday I noticed how all dark colors have a kind of brown/orange tint over them. It doesn't look right. For example the "Tron Legacy Visual FX trailer", which is very dark for the most part, looks extremely brown... Compared to my TV/computer monitor/iPod touch it looks very bad.

I have an Iphone 4s that was purchased a few months ago. The charging cable all of a sudden would not charge my phone and I noticed there is a burn mark on the inside of the plug that goes into my phone. Is this cable covered under applecare plus warranty and should I be worried there is a problem with my phone?

I have Nokia E72 and I have problem with USB chargin. Now the phone is with low battery and the Power Saving mode is automatic activated. I plug USB on phone and PC (Win7), charging started, and after few seconds, charging stops. I try to restart phone, PC and plung and unplug UBS, but the problem still exist. I have both the DT-900 wireless charging plate and the DT-901 wireless charging stand. They both have a charge light that stays on when charging and goes off when charging is complete. I've notice that with the Icon the light never goes out when the phone is fully charged. When I charge my 822 the light goes out when it's fully charged.

I plugged my bb into the wall and for a little bit it was charging fine but then the symbol disappeared. I unplugged and plugged back in which made the clock pop up so I know it connected right. But its still not charging. I turned the charging indicator led on with berrybuzz and the light didn't turn on when I plugged it in.
Meterberry says the temp is 111 degrees. I don't know what the 'normal' ranges are. I'm still under my 30day warranty so do I take it back? Is anyone else having this problem? Its done this before and it eventually charges but something is going on....

Help! I bought a BlackBerry Charging Pod for my 9700, the packaging that came with it says it is for a Tour 9630.
I plugged it in and the power light on the pod lit up but there is no indication on the 9700 that says it is charging when placed in pod and I set the clock to display when charging and that doesn't work when placed in the pod!I bought it from a place called OEM in Brooklyn.

I took a 21 hr trip w/ no recharge. Battery completely drained. Since then...
-BB will not charge.
-I have BB desk manager, have removed battery and replaced, purchased new battery, purchased new a/c cord.
-charging does not work via USB to PC, USB to Auto, USB to A/C.
any suggestions?
-Unit has never been wet, nor dropped.
-Carrier is T-Mobile

Having issues with their Nexus 5 not charging, or at the very least charging super slowly?
Mine has been plugged in for about 3 hours and only charged up about 10%. Could it be a teething issue (it's the first charge out of the box) or something worth contacting Google about?

I just updated last week to Gingerbread but this was happening before that. I plug my phone into my factory charger and when I go to unplug it it says it is still charging. Dosent go away until I reboot the phone, any ideas? When it is fully charged the green led even stays lit. Dosent do it all the time just enough to be annoying. I really dont want to trade my phone for a reconditioned one since it is only three weeks old.

When I tried to connect to magnetic charging dock the Led and the charging symbol starts blinking continuously without getting charged, while it used to be perfect previously, and usb charging is perfectly fine , i even tried with multiple chargers.

When I use an older, slower charger for my GS6 overnight, my battery usually lasts all day, unless under HEAVY use of video or music. However, when I use the Fast Charging cord that was boxed with my GS6, it seems to charge to 100% at lightning speed, but then seems to lose power 5 times faster the next day. I may barely use my phone for <10 minutes during the day, and it is down to 10% by 5pm! So, fast charging = faster battery loss? I'm not seeing an upside to the Fast Charging, at all.

My Nexus 5 won't charge - the battery is showing a lightening strike *as though* it is charging, but when you go into the battery screen, it says "not charging".
When you first plug it in (if in the battery screen) it will go from "AC Charging" to "not charging" although nothing has changed.

I just bought an iPhone. I plugged it in and it's not charging. It does not have a sim card and it is not on any carrier or anything. I was planning on using it like an iPod. When I plug it in the normal charging screen comes up but it doesn't seem to take any charge. It's been three hours and no charge, just the red bar. Also plugging it in to my computer doesn't do anything, my computer doesn't even see it. Please help. Also I don't think it could be broken, the company guarantees it for 60days

I got my Phone on Sunday, On Tuesday it got hot when i used in for no more then 5 minutes, I had to put it down as it was so hot. It also gets very hot when charging. Is this normal or not?
