I want to save some email locally to my phne for travel purposes, such as hotel confirmations. I need these locally because I will not be able to access 3g/wi fi in some areas. I just want to save these emails in a local folder.
View 2 RepliesToday I made some pictures with my Phone (Lumia 1520, WP8.1, Lumia Denim) using Lumia Camera 5.0. I wanted to view them afterwards and they didn't show up in the photo album. When I went to the Lumia Camera app and then to Album, they were showing but in the top left corner it said "processing" (not sure if this is correct, it was "verwerken" in Dutch). Short: the app got stuck in saving the pictures. They also did not show up in the folder when I connected it to my pc.
I tried to look up on the internet to find a solution but couldn't find one. I did a soft reset on my phone and then these pictures were all gone... But not the .TMP, .TNL, . THM-files. (which are only used for Living Images I believe). After the soft reset the app works fine again and saves the pictures like normal.
My 9630 does not save my incoming email messages for more than a day or so. What am I missing.All my sent items show up in the mailbox but nothing from previous days for incoming.Is this a setting I am missing? I noticed a "on conflict mailbox wins" should this be changed to handheld wins?

When I go to folders there is nothing called messaging, and when opening and checking all folders it is not there. I would like the non-deleted emails to remain available on my phone. How? People send me emails and ask what will this or that cost. when I'm in the field I don't want to clack away a long response so I created three or four paragraphs telling about my services and send them in emails to my phone. right now they are residing in my messages folder on my desk top. I created a blank folder next to it called email messages. I want to put my info blurbs in there but don't know how to do it. then, when a prospect sends my bb a message saying how much do you charge, I can shoot them a paragraph about me and try to hook em.
can you give me a step by step how to do this? I have an 8530 curve.
Just upgraded my wife's phone to the S6 from Verizon Wireless. She had an S4 previously. Problem is with the stock android email app on this phone: On the S4 when she would save an email it would save it to the "Saved email" folder. She could then open the saved emails in that folder and it would have any attachment saved with the email. She could then open the attachment if she wished.
The S6 email app allows her to save an email, but the options menu says it will save the email as a FILE. When accessing these saved emails she discovered only the text of the email was saved. The attachments are not saved with the emails.
This is a completely ridiculous and stupid change by Samsung or Google, whichever is the one who is responsible for that app. I am surprised other users have not complained about this, I did not see anything about this on the 'net when searching.
My wife uses this phone for business and needs to access the attachments in the emails her clients send her. I understand she can save the attachments to the phone, but they go into a location in the "My Files" on the phone. It is a lot easier to access an email from a client, be able to read what they sent, and then open the attachment from within that email. If she has to save the emails and attachments separately there is nothing to link the two together and she would have to do what I think is many unnecessary steps to access both things.
I just added an account and if I set it to "no limit" I noticed that it doesn't sync all my old email. Will it come later? Are the emails stored on the server or locally?

However, I have to say, we often suffer "no place founded" when we wanna drive to even a famous car shop. In Nokia Ovi maps, size of Beijing map is only 25M, but in Route66, size is about 60M, which is quite easy for us to find even small place. Nokia should update the maps locally and timely. Nokia China team should take care of China maps to give a better user experience.

This is done using the Nokia Camera (4.5.1.7) with the latest firmware ( 3051.40000.1345.1006) and dev OS version (8.0.1521.155). A restart seems to fix the problem for a period of time, but it's not really a good work around / solution,
I have another issue, on my nokia Lumia 1020 after I finish a collage and all the edits (color pop) I save it and it saves the origional photo I started with only, thus, I loose my collage.

I have about 1500 contacts with detailed info that I do not want to go back to google.I just got a new 2014 Moto X which immediately upgraded itself to Lollipop and when I go into the contacts app, it wants to load anything imported back UP to google. There doesn't seem to be any local address book. I don't know if this is just a Moto X problem or a general lollipop one? My HTC One M8 does not have lollipop.I need to be able to have some contacts sync into my gmail account and others to not be associated with it.

When my Nexus 6's screen is turned off (either by timeout or by locking the phone) the audio will start to stutter and distort. Is there a fix for this? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have three Lumia phones, a 920, a 1020, and a 1520. With each I just attach a USB, copy the camera roll files to my PC. With the first two, I open the video mp4 files on the PC and Windows Media player has no problem. Not so with the 1520, with any video file copied to the PC, it says: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Again, the same video file plays fine on the 1520 that shot it.On the PC, Quicktime and Movie Maker choke on video files too. I tried a hard reset of the 1520 but it did nothing.

i have noticed that, when im taking a Photo with SmartCam, and later im going to save my edited Photo. I can only save one edited Photo from the original file. How can i save 2 different edited Photos? When i go back and i want to edit/save another Photo from the original file, it always overwrites the last saved/edited Photo.
When i take a Photo and i edit it, for example i zoom into a area, and save that zoomed part, it always replace the last edited Photo from the original file.
I own a L720 but am very tempted to make a switch to L1020 in future once its officially available here. A major query I have is,
-The screen is off and I hit the camera button, how long does it take to take a picture and save?
-The battery to power ratio, is it good? (Can the phone last 1 full day without any issues?)
When listening to the Music app on my 1520 (16 GB ATT) and using my headphones, sometimes the volume will randomly get louder then quieter in a rhythmic motion.
It does not go from 0 to 30, its more like 5 up, then 5 down. The actual numbers of the volume stay the same, but I can definitely tell there is an increase and decrease. I've encountered this a few times from different artists (so it is not a style of the artist). Also, it seems to happen whenever the headphones are accidentally pulled out mid-song. After the song is over, the next song seems to be fine. Is there a work around other than waiting for the next song?
