When taking video on my 950, it always saves to the phone's local storage instead of to the SD card, even though I have "New videos will save to: SD Card" set in my storage settings.
View 5 RepliesI just bought a new Xperia Z2 mobile. I inserted a Samsung SDXC 64 BG micro sd card. After selecting "save photos to SD card by default" option in camera setting, I took pictures and it gave a message "Memory Error" and the pictures weren't saved on SD card. I tried doing this a few times but didn't work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIssues with the recorded video not being saved? Seems like a bug / glitch somewhere that's preventing the video from being saved. The recording phase looks fine, but afterwards, the video cannot be found anywhere.
This is done using the Nokia Camera (4.5.1.7) with the latest firmware ( 3051.40000.1345.1006) and dev OS version (8.0.1521.155). A restart seems to fix the problem for a period of time, but it's not really a good work around / solution,
I have 128 GB SD card and whenever I put a large movie in the video folder it seems to be gone the next day. I am not trying to put a couple on the phone in the video folder to see if the same behavior occurs there.

However, it deleted the ones I had saved in the newly created album. These are now lost, which was very upsetting for me and my wife. Am I doing something wrong or are you not able to manage your photos in this way?

Saving to my internal memory works fine. Saving to the SD card receives a "Media not Found" error message and no photo is saved. I can view and use all other photos and apps that are saved on my SD card, so it is loaded correctly.

From past experience of nokia phone breakdowns, it is best not to save contacts in the phone memory. When it breaks down, contacts are normally not recoverable

I just took a ton of awesome pictures at an art festival, got home excited the check out how good they were, and ALL but 2 are gone. Never saved. I have no idea why, I didn't close out the camera app too fast, each photo moved down to the bottom left as a thumb before I took another, or closed the app. Any idea what's going on? Any way to recover these great pics? This is really a pain as I have also lost great concert videos as well.
View 3 Replies View RelatedToday I made some pictures with my Phone (Lumia 1520, WP8.1, Lumia Denim) using Lumia Camera 5.0. I wanted to view them afterwards and they didn't show up in the photo album. When I went to the Lumia Camera app and then to Album, they were showing but in the top left corner it said "processing" (not sure if this is correct, it was "verwerken" in Dutch). Short: the app got stuck in saving the pictures. They also did not show up in the folder when I connected it to my pc.
I tried to look up on the internet to find a solution but couldn't find one. I did a soft reset on my phone and then these pictures were all gone... But not the .TMP, .TNL, . THM-files. (which are only used for Living Images I believe). After the soft reset the app works fine again and saves the pictures like normal.
Why will my elm phone not save photos, themes to the memory card ? I have saved music on the card with an SD adapter on my computer and this is usable on the phone but sometimes disappears and says folder empty.Removing and replacing the memory card rectifies this but only for a short time.

View 4 Replies View Relatedall the recent photos that I have taken apparently do not show up when trying to view them on my PC. I am using a PNY MicroSDHC Class 10 SD Card. I only noticed this just now when trying to transfer some of my recent photo images to my pc - unfortunately, they are only in thumbnail size.I can view the DCIM.thumbnails but they (large 8mp size jpg) are missing in the DCIMCamera folder. > this is examined when plugging into PC (USB Mass Storage)I tried searching the entire photon for the JPG's by date but the full size ones are not there. Only the thumbnails of the recent and old and old large size photos are there.
I took a few shots right now and the same thing is happening. I have set the camera to save on SD card.All my past images/videos and files/documents are still viewable in full size on the SD card via windows explorer. I tried to power down and remove-reinsert SD card but the recent images in full size are not there.I did a search via windows explorer for all JPEGs on the entire drive but it seems all of the recent photos I took are not there, only the thumbnail files.Also, I had purchased this card "as is" new and never did any formating - it seemed to have worked okay up until now.
I am new in this forum. Please could any one tell me how do i save files on the memory card.
