I was wondering if anyone else noticed the inability to receive MMS messages since the ICS update. I havent been able to receive a single one since the update, sent from different friends across multiple carriers. Is tehre a way to fix it, or are we just waiting for another update?

My phone did not update to the newest vystem version of 5.9.905. It is still reading 5.9.904.So I did a Factory Reset to try and get the update. I have not to this point received the update and I've been waiting and checking the update tab but it says my phone is up to date.How long does it normally take to receive the update?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got the 2.3.3 update on my Droid X and now Corp Sync is completely broken. My company uses a self signed certificate so in 2.2 I simply selected "Disable Verification" when the prompt appeared. Now, when you select "Disable Verification" it simply prompts you again, and again, and again, and again. I sat there selecting "Disable Verification" non-stop during an hour long TV show without getting anywhere.
I have completely flashed my phone back to factory defaults but it's still broken. 5/5 coworkers with a Droid X could sync in 2.2 but also lost the ability to sync as soon as they took the 2.3.3 update. So now we're all screwed.I've seen people suggest using Touchdown. We installed it on a 2.2 phone, verified it worked, upgraded to 2.3.3, and now it won't work either. The only fix I've seen so far was somebody that hacked their phone and reinstalled the 2.2 email application. I'd rather not void my warranty and risk doing bad things to my business phone.
After the recent GB update on my Droid X2 I am no longer able to access my outloook webmail url using the browser. Before being forced to take the GB update, I could type in https://webmail.medplus.com. I would get a certificate message and after hitting continue I would get the prompt for user name and password. I've tried other browsers with no luck. I've spent hours on the phone with Verizon support and we've narrowed it down to only phone that have GB software. I had this exact same issue with my Droid X when I got that GB update and moved to the X2 because that wasn't supposed to get GB. I've tried other android phones and those without GB I can access the site without issue.
Is anyone else having trouble accessing an outlook webmail url thru their browser with the GB update? My suspicion is that after the update google isn't playing well with microsoft as I've noticed some issues with hotmail post update that didn't exist preupdate.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi updated my Iphone and IPAD2 to IOS 5.1 and my Godaddy IMAP email is not recieving emails on my apple devices or syncing with the Godaddy server. I've spent hours with Apple and Godaddy tech support and they point the finger at each other. Anyone else having a problem after this update? We've tried resetting the network, deleting and adding the email accounts, etc. This same problem occurs on the IPAD3 when I tested setting up the email account in the store today. Something is wrong with IOS 5.1.Godaddy tech emailed me saying that they're hearing the same problems with Yahoo and other users now.

I'm a lawyer and need to access calendar and email on the run.I can't get my email from my website to set up. I keep getting an "invalid server certificate" message. I've been on tech support with Verizon, Inmotion hosting, Amazon Wireless (where I bought the phone) and Motorola but noone seems to be able to answer why this isn't working. I can't believe I'm the first person ever to want the email from their website to go to their phone.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just registered my brand new DROID4, and I'm excited to take part of the Motorola Feedback Network. I did register, opt-in, and I didn't receive any email confirmation like I had previously with my DROID3.Also, I noticed on my Profile, that it had added an extra '6' to my serial number, which I thought was odd, so I modded my profile to have the correct serial number (HEX). Not sure if that's a bug or if anyone else has noticed that. I had double checked my input *TWICE* before submitting it, so it wasn't a typo.
With ICS for the D4 getting closer, I wanted to take part in the soak test, but I'm not sure how I can verify that my phone has properly been registered so I can take part in it. With the (2) "leaks" floating around the net, I figured Moto must be getting close to releasing the soak test,I have a Car Dock, and the 'Universal' HD Dock. I also use the Motorola Car Finder (which is a bit buggy, but incredibly useful app) I can provide good feedback, and I look forward to ICS. I was actually running it on my D3 for a while, and can say that ICS is awesome

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been using the phone for about two weeks now. In this time I've gotten a few text messages to the affect of, "I just called, why didn't you answer?" or when I call someone, they comment on how long it took for me to return their call. Piecing the feedback together, it seems that the phone doesn't always receive the call and ring. The person who is placing the call hears a dial tone, etc... and has no indication the call isn't ringing on my end. One time this occured, a voice mail was left and I received the voice mail right away. However, if no voicemail is left, I get no indication a call should have been received (no missed calls). The frequency of occurance is fairly hit and miss, besides, you can't prove someone didn't just call you .
I've experienced this on some other verizon phones of multiple brands (before smart phone times), and tend to think it has something to do with the software interactions between the carrier and platform, or perhaps the quality of antenna and how the software handles marginal signal. In the past, the only remedy I found was to change phones, but software pushes weren't as prevalent in those times.... Note, I've been a verizon customer since the dawn of time, so the carrier is a constant variable here. This phone was an upgrade from the Motorola Droid 1, and I didn't experience this problem (in the same locations) with this phone. For what it's worth, around town and at home I have a full 5 bars of signal strength, though I understand the bars are just a function of software.
I have also experienced some data drop out issues on 3G (patiently waiting for verizon to flip the LTE switch on) when heavily managing the wi-fi radio via the smart actions. There seem to be a few other complaints on the forums of similiar behavior. Changing the smart actions to have the wifi radio enabled most of the time seems to have helped with this issue, so I don't beleive it is related, but you never know..
This has happened since day one and has happened on 2 devices. It has happened in the stock messaging app as weel as chomp and handcent. I sometimes get as many as 6 of the same message. It doesn't happen all of the time, but too much for me. I've tried clearing the cache and I even did a master reset wih no luck.

When I try to do much of anything with the phone, the notification bar will disappear and the green light at the top starts blinking. After this happens, I cannot receive any test messages or phone calls. the only way that I can get the phone to work correctly again is to cut it off and reboot it. Yesterday it showed the update for the new software but wouldn't download it.

Another example, let's say that you have your Google Calendar sending you text reminders for events/meetings, etc. Even thought I deleted the first notice I still receive that exact same notice for something that happened two to five hours ago.

Initially (20 months ago when I purchased the phone) I was very keen to as you said there would be an imminent update to froyo, after months of waiting and searching forums to only to see dozens of other perplexed by the lack of any update I gave up to my dissappointment and have been waiting to receive an update automatically.I've just read that motorola were issuing upgdate to Android 2.2 nearly a year ago and that 2.3 is even available, however all I've had for the past week when attempting to check for an update is the message "The device is unable to connect to the server. Try again later.".

All of a sudden, it takes several minutes (if at all) to receive sat signals, and if it does connect it gives wildly incorrect information. View 23 Replies View RelatedI received a Verizon "CLND" I've had issues with it charging. Not with battery drain or charge time(when it does charge). Occasionally when I plug my d4 in, to charge I receive no response from the battery icon nor on the lock screen. Other times I plug it in it charges just fine. Things I've tried: wipe cache partition via recovery menu, factory reset via settings>privacy>factory reset>erase internal memory, factory reset via recovery menu then wipe cache partition, safe mode, charge while off, different USB, different outlet, different adapter (part that plug into the wall that you plug the USB into), charge at work, charge via Xbox,PC, and car charger. All micro USB's, adapters and car charger is legit Motorola products adapter and USB are factory products received with purchase of d4 and RAZR. I did notice when the device is off the moment I plug the USB into the phone the notification led flashes green once (thinking of the beep codes on a PC). I am unsure as to what might be causing this issue I would love to get this resolved without having another "CLND " or sending it in for repairs

My carrier is koodo mobile but since picture messaging works on other phones i don't believe that is the issue.

As soon as the call is done, my text messaging is non-functional. I have no issues with calls/internet browsing/apps...just text messaging.
Furthermore, i do not know if this a phone issue or an AT&T issue.
I just got an update message for update 4.2. something.. I didnt record the full update number/version.I gave the ok to download and install after reading the warning that it might take up to 7 minutes to complete.It has locked with the red dot "M" logo for 30 minutes.What should I do now? Holding the power button does not turn it off , no buttons get any response. I am about to pull the battery and restart but I fear I might cobble up the update and cause more harm.
