After my maxx update ics my browsers don't support some videos online... :( i never have the issue before with the GB... ..why??? I know the ics software have a lot features... but they need improve the video online support... now i just feel the i miss the GB software

It worked well for me prior to ICS, and now if it is opened, the app will lock up, or the screen will lock up, or the phone will reboot itself. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app with no change.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am unable to play HBO Go videos on my Bionic using the HBO Go app and the Bionic HD Station (dock). The videos display perfectly on my phone. When docked, I can see everything on my HD TV that I see on the Bionic until I press PLAY. The screen rotates to landscape on the TV then the following error message apperars: "Please unplug the HDMI or TV out connector and try to play the video again." I have done the following:
Powered off and removed the battery for 30 sec. as instructed by Motorola.Cleared the HBO Go app datUninstalled and reinstalled the HBO Go app Have talked with Tier 2 reps with Verizon and with Motorola. The latter says it's an HBO issue and that I should contact the developer. I haven't found an easy way to do that yet, but will keep trying. Until then
I have the Atrix 2 and am unable to watch videos my friends post on facebook as I get some error type message. Yet my wife has the Atrix and she is able to view the same videos with no problems. What gives? Anyone have any clues as to how to fix this annoying issue?

The first problem is video. I can't watch either online or offline videos. When I try to watch a video it looks like a slideshow. It just shows one frame per 2-3 seconds. The strange thing that audio in video keep works fine.Â
The second problem is applications. They suddenly became crashing in various places and times where they didn't crash before. Instgram, YouTube, some games are crashing.Â

So any embedded video on a website won't play. Then after cancelling the browser locks up. This happens with both the stock browser and Chrome. I have to reboot the phone to use either browser. I have flash player installed already. What's the problem?

View 2 Replies View Relatedthe motorola cliq with motoblur needs to be updated to to android 2.2 froyo because the eclair update still has flaws i and i am going to list those flaws right now right here.
1. when i updated my motorola cliq to eclair android 2.1 i could not turn off safe search filtering because that option was grayed out so i logged into my Internet account but it's still grayed out!
2. the video player on the cliq cant watch certain non flash videos because i thinks the video has high resolution but i think that when that happens the cliq should be able to reduce the resolution to its supported resolution.
3. for some videos on Internet i cant turn on high quality because of the error message. sorry the video could not be played.
4. the cliq now runs android 2.1 update1 but as soon as i go in the market i click apps then i scroll down to live wallpapers but as soon as i download and install and then open the live wallpaper it says sorry but your device currently does not support live wallpapers but you can get suppor via upgrade so motorola needs to work on getting live wallpaper support for the motorola cliq with motoblur.
5. the google earth app is missing from the android market on the cliq that needs to be fixed.
6. and i don't like the fact that i have to go to my task manager when i want to close my browser there should be an exit button with in the browser so that i can close it manually. i'm not saying to get rid of the task manager i'm just asking for more manual convenient ways to exit apps.
7. and it needs adobe flash player 10.1 support i don't want it to be preinstalled i just want it to be supported also needs the latest javascript preinstalled.

i can not view/play videos on facebook; neither from the browser or the app. i can play Internet videos and vimeo videos on facebook. it seems to be only ones labeled hd. when i called verizon about it, they sent me another phone. the problem did not go away. i assume it is a setting somewhere that i can not find. it does not give me an error message. it simply says: "error file cannot be displayed or played." i believe they are all in .mp4 i tried downloading another video app to see if it could play them. it can not do it either.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAlthough my WMV formatted Videos play fine on my home computer, I had no problem transferring them to my Bionic SD Card. Rather than playing, a small blue box opens at the bottom, which says "unable to open this type of file". Confirmed that the pre-installed Player should play MP4 and WMV. I tell them about my error message, and they recommend downloading the VLC Media Player (which works great on all files on my home computer, even on AVI and FLV files). Still won't play, so they refer me to Motorola, but before I call them, I also download, the seemingly popular MoboPlayer and MX Video Player.
The Motorola second level of support tells me to convert them from WMV to WMV, although my experience with Motorola's Tech support is that I sense that due to our mother tongues, it might be my fault for not parsing my words carefully enough. Feel free to contribute your WMV (or MP4 experience) to this thread, as the last advice that the Motorola Level 2 Tech Support gave me was to go to "setting", then "privacy" and then "restore data reset".
I successfully upgraded to Android 2.1 on my Xperia x10 Mini Pro. After the upgrade everything works beautifully except 2 things.
1> I am unable to play any online videos. When I try loading the video it does not load the control for it and shows a small square block like a Lego brick. Looks like the browser is missing some add-on like Flash or something. Have tried installing Flash for the browser but it said Flash is already installed.. Have tried downloading a different browser, like Opera but that does not help either.
2> This is not very important, but for some reason the alarm does not work any more. I can set the alarm on the phone. It shows that the alarm is set for a particular time but when the time comes it does not ring. Have tried using different applications for this but those don't work either.
Why can't i update through 3G. It tells me to turn WiFi on. I tried to update The Verizon app as it it was stuck "download" mode while in WiFi.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a meeting invite from someone as an .ics file attached to an email if I open the attachment and press save it is saved to the local phone calendar and not my Google calendar, which has been set to be the default calendar. There seems to be no option to allow it to save it to the Google calendar (or move it afterwards), other than not saving it on the phone but waiting until I have access to my (non-Moto) Android tablet which doesn't have a local calendar, just the Google calendar.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen using the Droid Razr as a hot spot for my Zoom I cannot access Yahoo.com and a few other sites. When connecting using a conventional wireless hot spot there is no problems. Also tested using an HTC 4gLTE and there was no problems. The issue is specific to the Verizon/Motorola Razr Hot Spot. There seem so be an MTU issue with many sites when only using a Droid Razr as a hot spot, The Razr connects directly to all the sites but the Hot Spot function will not allow certain sites. After repeated calls and Google Searches I found a tech that amited that Verizon / Motorola Droid Razr has an issue with accessing certain sites only in the Hot Spot App. They plan to correct in the next update hopefully in Feb 2012. They suggested the the fix is in Beta. Some of the sites that don't connect are Yahoo.com and Yahoo.mail Microsoft.com some Apple sites. There are more but I didn't have pen at the time.

I can connect my Xoom and iPad just fine, but my laptop and desktop both windows 7 ultimate say they cannot connect. I have not tried to connect with USB so I don't know if that works. when or if we can get ICS for the razr?

If I hold it in portrait mode, the icons don't rotate like they do on the Galaxy Nexus, there's no option to set it to portrait mode, and every picture ends up in landscape. Even if I disable Auto Rotate, they're all in landscape. This is a real pain in the butt because sometimes I need more detail on something that is taller than it is wide but I have to settle for the extra space of landscape. The Galaxy Nexus and Droid Bionic allow portrait photographs and video, why doesn't the Razr.

My stock Email app used to be linked to my office Outlook email. From further research, I have found that it is the cause for warning such as "Unfortunately, process.com.motorola.services has been force closed" or something like that to pop up. My attemp to fix this was to download other developer's apps, but soon to find out nearly all of them only supports POP3 and IMAP. Needless to say I feel nauseating just thinking about spending $20 for apps like ActiveSync and TouchDown for the stupid Outlook email!
I'm trying to connect to my shared folders on a Windows XP machine through the My Files app, but it keeps saying the login is incorrect. The shared folders are the typical XP Shared Documents in My Computer, and I can access them through EStrongs File Explorer easily, and the PC has a username and password so that's not the problem. It doesn't matter what I type in for that anyways.Shouldn't this work out of the box? It seems like I have to jump through some unspecified hoops here, and there's no clue what I'm supposed to do. It looks like a useless feature at this point.
