Motorola Droid 4 :: No Music From T605 Car Kit With It?
Feb 11, 2012
I have a T605 Bluetooth car kit bought in 2009 and I just paired it with my new Droid 4. It shows paired for the phone and media audio. It works perfectly for phone calls, but when I try to play any MP3 songs on the phone through the car kit, there is no audio. If I am currently playing a song from the phone, and I turn on the ignition in my truck to power up the T605, all music audio goes away as soon as the phone connects to the car kit.I am going to dig around to see if I have the latest firmware for the T605.
Motorola's My Music app is having issues finding my music. If I view the albums for an artist, they all appear, but if I play that artist, some of them can't be found. Sometimes I try again, and these albums play. Once I even noticed that all of the albums appeared but songs were missing, and then when I looked at the album list again, the ones that weren't playing weren't listed. Then they appear again. The most troubling part is that these songs are in the same folder on my sd card.
So I just discovered that /sdcard is really internal and the removable sdcard is /sdcard-extI don't have any music in /sdcard/music, it's all in /sdcard-ext/music and I don't want to move it (It wouldn't all fit anyway.)My Music library says "There is no music" because it doesn't appear to look in sdcard-ext. How do I change this so that music files on the removeable SD card are found by My Music and appear in the library?
I'm able to transfer my iTunes library to my Atrix, but the playlists end up in alphabetical order, rather than the original order of the album or list. Anything I can do about that?
I successfully transferred my pictures and video, but the music sync was from my pc to my phone. Now I have a bunch of music/podcasts on my phone I dont want, but not the mp3's on my phone that I want on my pc. I read you can move music to sd card, but not sure how to do that, as they are all located on my phones internal memory.
I went to play some music on my Droid X2 so I hit the play all icon on the dock app and selected an album from the list of over 500 songs and it looked like it was hung up(getting used to that) then after about 5 minutes the list was gone and I have hundereds of these in the catlog
I have a droid turbo and it won't let me make my own music my ringtone. I've put music in the "ringtones" folder and it wont show up on my phone. I've had music in the folder before and had my own ringtones but when I tried to add more of my music to the folder or completely switch out the songs it didn't show up on my phone.
I have about 8 gigs worth of music on a 16 gig class 6 SD card in my D3. Every so often some music files will disappear and LOST.DIR will then have numeric files in its folder. I do not know why this is happening, but I am not the first who seems to be having this issue.
I thought I was doing something wrong that was causing the SD card to unmount incorrectly but my D3 has not been USB connected all morning and I have lost 140 files, and correspondingly LOST.DIR now has 140 numeric files.
I recently got a droid x and usually when i play music the phone will crash. and reboot. Is myphone broke (this never happened on my moto droid). Im asking because i have a few days left to return my device and listening to music is something i use myphone for quite often.
As I'm listening to music, during the song I'm listening to, another song will start playing, cutting off the original song that was playing. The song that cuts in always cuts in somewhere which isn't the beginning for that song. Then, after anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or so, the original song goes back to playing where it had been interrupted from. For example:
(Song 1 starts in playing as I'd expect, from the start, goes along for a minute or two)
(Song 2 now kicks in, (which stops Song 1), somewhere in the middle of the song, then plays for a random amount of time)
(Song 1 now resumes (and Song 2 stops) at the place it was cut off by Song 2)
I've got a 32GB SD card, loaded with about 15gb of music from my libary. I have tried different music players, such as the stock music player, google music, PowerAmp and MixZing. Problem happens with all of them. I can get about three or four songs into a listening session before this happens. Doesn't matter if I'm listening to all songs randomly shuffled, or an album in order. All the songs that have issues with playback on the phone playback fine on my laptop, whether I use iTunes, Google Music, or doubletwist.
My SD card recently fail so I lost all my photos and music. I only had a couple of pictures but there was 1 that I really wanted to keep. I just installed my new SD card.
What I am hoping to find out is that the picture I wanted the most is still showing on the Photo Gallery start page/ Desk Top, or what ever it is called on a phone. Where is this image coming from and can I save it back to my gallery?
I tried the motocast utility that is supposed to sync music from my PC to my phone. This utility is not for me and I've uninstalled it on my PC. The problem is I now have thousands of what I call "Ghost Images" in the music player that I do not want. I'd like to just wipe the music player clean and start over. How can I do this? I can't find any method to delete anything from the music player.
The music won't play on my Droid X, running Android version 2.3.4, and I will recieve an errror message saying, "sorry the player does not support this type of audio file." Custom ringtone stop working, music & video won't play, custom alarms do not ring, etc., until after a reboot. Sometimes it will happen a few times a day and sometimes it won't happen for a few days.
When listening to music with the phone not in the Car Dock, I can view all songs, albums, artists, etc.... in the library. When I put the phone into the car dock, the library shows one folder, "Recently added", with nothing in it. No other music is displayed. If I want to change albums, I have to remove the phone from the dock, select the new album, and replace the phone in the dock.
How can I get my songs from my computer to my phone razr.? I set up motocast and see my songs but only when I am logged on to the internet. Is there a way to use them as my ringtones?
I have Jelly Bean, Google Music Play and all my CD's stored up in Google Music through my PC. Somehow, I have downloaded two albums to my phone, at least Music Play in the phone says they are on the device, the phone.Where are they? And how can I see them, or delete them? How can I assure they go on the SD card and I'm not filling up the remaining native storage in the phone?I've used My Computer to browse the files in the phone storage and on the SD, I can't find the albums.
When I try to add songs to the playlist, the phones says they add but they don't add in the stock music player. I see them pop up in Google Play though. I have tried deleting the playlists several times and the issue keeps showing up. I would like to use the stock player because the lyrics come up and I can change songs in the lock screen.
When streaming music to my aftermarket Alpine car stereo via bluetooth I constantly get 1/2 second drops in sound. It is intermittant but happens with almost every song, sometimes 1 or 2 times per song, sometimes up to 5 or 6 times, and some songs it doesn't happen at all. It does it while streaming through Napster or through downloaded music on the stock player, so that doesn't seem to be the issue. At first I thought it could be a loss of 3g or 4g signal or the Razr searching for the signal but it has happened in both 3g and 4g coverage area. So today I thought I would check it while stopped in a parking lot, and it continued to happen, I'm still in a 3g area til Dec. but thought the phone could be searching for a signal causing the drop of sound so I disconnected from bluetooth and the problem goes away, so I'm pretty convinced it is a bluetooth issue, I did not have this problem with my DX, so I do not believe it's an issue with my car stereo'e bluetooth adapter. I do not have any issues with phone calls but do have an issue with connecting to my bluetooth unit sometimes. In the settings it says paired but not connected until I click on the setting then it connects. Also, this does not happen while listening at home through the speakers or headphones whether I'm streaming or downloading via 3g or wifi.
In Froyo on the Droid 1, the headset's control button would play or pause the music app. In gingerbread on the Droid 4, it goes to the completely useless "voice commands" app. I can't uninstall the app, and there are no settings to disable it. How do I get the headset control button to control the music app again?
I have not been able to synchronize music to my new Droid X2. When I connect the phone to my PC (Windows 7 x64), I get a computer pop-up that says "Drivers are being installed." This installation always fails. When I open Windows Media Player and hit the "Sync" tab, no device is listed.
According to the Motorola website, Motorola Media Link "allows you to easily transfer, sync, manage, back up and share your phone's content." Sure. The link to the program itself redirects to MotoCast USB, a separate (and apparently new) program which wirelessly syncs my music with my phone. The webpage says it does not physically sync my music. This program does not run when I click on its icon. When I found the .exe file in MS Explorer, I got a BSoD.
I just want a simple way to connect my phone to my computer to transfer my music. I would also appreciate it if Motorola was consistent on its own website about exactly what programs are available for users and what they do.
I used the app last night and tried out the Internet Radio function...nice function.Powered off my phone and put it on the charger for the night. This morning when I turned on the phone the music app started on its own. I only discovered the problem after my battery went from 100% charge to like 88% charge in like an hour. When I checked to see what the heck was causing the battery drain I discovered the music app was the culprit. I force closed the app and powered off the phone. Waited a couple of minutes and powered the phone on. And yes, the music app once again was started on power up and I had to force close again.
When I have my phone plugged in to the AUX IN port in my car, the music application starts automatically. If I was fast enough to start a call, it will hang up on the call and the music will start. I have always used the car stereo AUX IN feature to take/make calls. I This problem started a few weeks ago and it is driving me crazy. I stop the music application and as soon as I place another call, the music will start again
When I turn car with Blue Tooth to listen to an audio book or the XM Radio app, the music app (That cam pre-installed on the Droid) starts without an invitation and plays over wanted audio. The app can't be removed or disabled. I "chatted with a Motorola Support rep., and was told to do a total reset. After taking a lot of time doing this, nothing changed.
When using the bundled music player my music will stop playing approx 1 minute after the screen turns off. I do not run any app killers so I know that isn't the problem, also if I use a different music player (like google music) this problem doesn't occur.
I have had this problem for a while and I fixed it just by using another music player, however recently I got a FM transmitter for my car and its buttons seem to interface with the built in music player.
I have music on the Bionic and it seems to be stored on internal storage.. The sd card seems to be empty and i want to store my music there..how come its not stored on the removable storage? how can i get it there?
I used to have the standard set of issues with my Bionic (data drops, restarts, etc.), but thankfully, after receiving a refurbished unit and upgrading to ICS when it was pushed a few months ago, my issues have been resolved.
That is, until a few weeks ago.
Recently, I have experienced music played through the headphone jack cutting out for 2-3 seconds, then playing again (the song continues to play as though nothing is wrong). The issue tends to happen once every 30 minutes or so. I've experienced this issue with Google Music, Amazon MP3, and Pandora, and it also applies to both streamed/cloud music AND music stored locally on the phone. I have already tried cleaning out the headphone jack for debris. Also, I know it isn't an issue with the headphones, as they play audio from my computer without any issue.
I use my D3 to listen to music. I have the mp3s stored on a memory card in my phone. I have music version v4.1.513. Before the update the music played fine. After the update the music will skip/click when ever my cell or data signal changes. I work in a very low / no cell signal lab so the phone is continuously losing signal and getting it back. This cause the music to skip/click every time. Not related to the update my phone still does not like to play music over bluetooth and do navigation at the same time. I have the phone linked to my car radio for navigation and I listen to music from the phone. It will reboot after about 15 minutes of use.
