I recently got a droid x and usually when i play music the phone will crash. and reboot.Is myphone broke (this never happened on my moto droid). Im asking because i have a few days left to return my device and listening to music is something i use myphone for quite often.
View 2 RepliesSince the update to ICS I've noticed when I stream audio via Bluetooth from my Bionic that the phone randomly will restart. I have tried three different bluetooth devices (S9-HD, S10-HD, and a bluetooth speaker) and multiple audio apps including but not limited to AmazonMP3, Google Music, and a voice recorder app I use.
It does this spuratily. I can listen for days to something and then it does it and sometimes it even does it over and over again. As an example a few hours ago it did it and then when I resumed listening it did less than 5 mins later. So far it hasn't done it a third time.
I didn't have this issue under Gingerbread.
What I've done:
- Cleared Cache in all audio apps and system recovery
- Tried different versions of music apps
- Factory Reset
- Repaired BT devices
- Formatted both internal and external memory
Is this an ICS bug or did something freaky happen to my Bionic during the update from 2.3 to 4.0?
As I'm listening to music, during the song I'm listening to, another song will start playing, cutting off the original song that was playing. The song that cuts in always cuts in somewhere which isn't the beginning for that song. Then, after anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or so, the original song goes back to playing where it had been interrupted from.For example:
(Song 1 starts in playing as I'd expect, from the start, goes along for a minute or two)
(Song 2 now kicks in, (which stops Song 1), somewhere in the middle of the song, then plays for a random amount of time)
(Song 1 now resumes (and Song 2 stops) at the place it was cut off by Song 2)
I've got a 32GB SD card, loaded with about 15gb of music from my libary. I have tried different music players, such as the stock music player, google music, PowerAmp and MixZing. Problem happens with all of them. I can get about three or four songs into a listening session before this happens. Doesn't matter if I'm listening to all songs randomly shuffled, or an album in order.All the songs that have issues with playback on the phone playback fine on my laptop, whether I use iTunes, Google Music, or doubletwist.
I have recorded few videos with the phone (at high quality), all OK. But in the gallery the playback of these videos sometimes lags (video stops, audio continues or stops too) and sometimes this ends with a restart of the whole phone (display backlight shuts off, screen freezes, then NOKIA shows up and the phone starts again, without asking for PIN, resulting in the standby screen). Usually if I play the same video again, it does not lag. The video is stored on an SDHC 4GB card, class C4. I have installed the latest firmware.Any suggestions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a stock, untouched Droid X2 with the included MicroSD card and the video recording is simply broken. The first video I tried to take was laggy during the recording, and playback was at a seemingly 1.5x speed and was glitchy. I recieved advice to uninstall Flash 10.3, and while shorter videos would record and play back okay, I still get some issues such as the phone rebooting while trying to navigate the gallery.

I am not sure if it is an issue with Google Play Music app or what. I will post this message with Google and see if they can pinpoint the issue as well. But I wanted to know if any other Photon users were experiencing this as well?
View 7 Replies View RelatedPartially off topic but my DroidX is similar. Most of the time when I shut it down it looks like it shuts off for a few minutes then restarts on its own. If I shut it down again quickly it stays off the second time. I know not a Xoom but both Motorola Android ... makes me wonder. Seemed to start after leaked GB upgrade. Stock GB now and still does auto-restarts
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a DROID RAZR. I have installed the desktop client on two different machines. I can view pictures and listen to music but when I try to play any video format I receive the following error:

MotoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.
I tried to download several files to test them on the phone's storage, but I am also unable to download any video using MotoCast. I can download pictures and documents. I have tried doing these operations through the Gallery app, as well as just browsing using the directory structure.
My issue is this, I cannot "fast forward" a video during playback. I can select a "fast forward" spot in the video using the slider or control panel but as soon as I let go it reverts back to where it was before (usually the beginning). The really weird part is when I download a player app it initially works, it did this trying RockPlayer, GeekVideo, BSPlayer and others, but as soon as I exit and re-start the apps they revert back to this behavior. My videos are 2.5 hours long and I need the ability to start, and re-start them at differnt points.
I tried MoboPlayer and it behaved the same. I noticed that the file type that does not work is the .WMV, the .MP4's work as they should.
Is this an issue with 2.3.6 that would be fixed if I go back to 2.3.5? I did not see any posts on the internet about this specific issue so I am confused. I received my RAZR MAXX a few days ago. I did the OTA update to 2.3.6 before checking this issue on 2.3.5.I am not rooted or modified in any way.I do not have this problem with the same applications with .WMV files on my old DX running GB 2.3.3 or my tablet running HC 3.2.1
I've had this razr maxx hd just beyond the verizon "no worry" 14 day period and now its turning off and restarting on its own. It seems to hapen if Im texting and an email comes in but not totally certain. Is this something I'm just going to have to deal with until 4. comes out and hope JB doesnt hav the same issue? Verizon will replace it but with a refurb...Lets see..I bought it btand new 17 days ago, and they want to replace it with a refurbished phone
View 11 Replies View RelatedEvery since I upgraded my Droid RAZR MAXX to ICS I've been having a problem playing music that is saved on my 32-Gig SD card. Prior to the upgrade I didn't have the problem. 8 out of 10 songs will skip for 2 seconds after playing for 10 seconds. The 10 seconds is consistent, but as I said 8 out of 10 songs will skip.
When the skipping occurs the device is totally unresponsive; screen and buttons (including power). After the skipping the song will play without any problems. It doesn't appear to be song specific as I've had the same song skip and then not skip. I'm using Verizon's My Music, but the same thing happens with Play Music and PowerAmp. I even fiddled with PowerAmp settings to have a large buffer and increased the priority without any change in the skipping.
I purchased the Motorola Full Size Wireless Keyboard (model:89451N) to use with my Droid Razr Maxx Hd to make texting and sending emails easier. The problem is that when conneting keyboard to phone the phone will restart 4 out of 5 times. Once the phone has rebooted it is connected but this is becoming very frustrating. This is the only wireless keyboard that I've tried but I hoped to have little compatability issues being that both handset and keyboard are made by Motorola.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI wanted to test booting into safe mode so I followed the directions here. I did get the "safe mode" in the lower left hand corner of the screen. But soon after that it restarted by itself and started back up in normal mode. I tried that 3 time and the same thing happened.

First, When I reboot, any app I've placed on a home screen that has been moved to the SD card/media area comes up as the default settings icon (blue gear icon) but appear correctly in the app drawer. Second, When I record video it is pixilated and choppy on play back with parts of the video actually missing. I understand we're all waiting for Gingerbread and bugs may exist but, to me, the video issue is a real problem because it basically means I can't count on video working and therefore have to use another device (go XOOM) for video recording.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am new to the mp3 world. I am trying to play the music app through my car stereo using the headphone jack and the cars Aux port. The issue I am having is the vocals are horrible. Can barely hear them and they sound like I am in a empty hall. When I am listening out of the phone speaker all sounds fine. Should I be connecting a different way? Or is there a setting I am missing somewhere? I tried playing with the built in eq but not much difference.

I also get an error message "The requested URL was not found on this server." while attempting to view a video from the native video app. The common thread seems to be content from iTunes.

Motorola's My Music app is having issues finding my music. If I view the albums for an artist, they all appear, but if I play that artist, some of them can't be found. Sometimes I try again, and these albums play. Once I even noticed that all of the albums appeared but songs were missing, and then when I looked at the album list again, the ones that weren't playing weren't listed. Then they appear again. The most troubling part is that these songs are in the same folder on my sd card.

My Galaxy S6 keeps randomly pausing music playback while I have it connected to the aux input in my car for no apparent reason. Phone is rooted on the stock AT&T Rom and has been restored via ODIN twice without any change. It did this before root as well without change. I have disabled nuplayer in the dev settings and tried resyncing my library multiple times thinking it was due to corrupted files. This clearly is a samsung issue and seems to be apparent with older generations of the Galaxy series as well. Having to keep fiddling with the damn phone while I'm driving to unpause the music, raise the volume past the warning, just to do it again a few minutes later. Tried the stock music app as well as doubletwist, no changes. Could this be caused by some motion sensing feature that needs to be disabled?

I've had this phone for nearly a month, but I've only been able to play the Slacker radio app once. For five minutes. I've tried Pandora and SoundCloud as well, even switched between WiFi and mobile data at home and on my university campus with no luck. I just get a playback error from SoundCloud.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the last few weeks, my M7 will start music playback (whether from Play Music or my podcast app) at weird times. Not out of the blue, but sometimes when a call comes in (which is obviously annoying since it then becomes a scramble to turn it off and explain to the caller what is happening). Or, it will happen when I give my phone a voice command, after the command is over it will start, as if it is resuming after having paused for the command (even thought it hadn't been on before).

However, the music performance is worse than Z3. The background noise is too obvious.
While in playback from playlist, tracks, authors etc phone will display failed and not go onto next song. Using 8gb M2 memory card. Have full formated memory card. Have placed music in root directory or card and in music directory. If you try to play filed song again redisplays failed. However you can forward to next song and it will play. I have tried many combinations and it still fails after each song.

I like to listen to a podcast during my commute (using Podcast Addict for now), usually while Waze is the active app on the screen, but I've been having trouble pausing the playback or hitting fast forward (to go through commercials) while driving. Seems like the controls on the notification bar are too small and there is no skip ahead button there. Maybe I'm just getting used to my new phone, but I'm coming from a Windows Phone where it seemed a lot easier/safer to do.
Anything that can make the controls overlap the Waze app? Or make buttons larger and more useful after flicking on the notification bar?
