Motorola Droid X2 :: Video Recording And Playback Choppy?
Jun 6, 2011
I'm using a stock, untouched Droid X2 with the included MicroSD card and the video recording is simply broken. The first video I tried to take was laggy during the recording, and playback was at a seemingly 1.5x speed and was glitchy. I recieved advice to uninstall Flash 10.3, and while shorter videos would record and play back okay, I still get some issues such as the phone rebooting while trying to navigate the gallery.
Having fits with my Verizon Nokia 822. Tried to take some videos today & then watch them on the phone. Took 4 videos, 2 saved to my Sandisk 64gb class 10 card, 2 saved to the phone. Took 720 & 1080 video's all 4 videos are very choppy on playback. They skip most of what is recorded. Phone also duplicates music, photo's & video's like crazy! I have 10+ copies of pictures & songs on my phone, it stops duplicating videos at 3 copies!
I've just got a new Z3 with Lollipop pre-installed and found that YouTube playback via the default app is choppy/stuttery. I tried factory resets/ updating the YouTube app/clearing cache/turning the x-reality engine on/off, but of no avail.
The videos play perfectly fine on my much older Xperia s, so pretty sure this not on the YouTube end.
I recently got the Nexus 6 and shot a few videos in 4k and when playing them back, the videos are choppy, laggy. It's not terrible but definitely noticeable. I have seen other videos shot with this phone and they look perfect and professional.
Does anyone have this problem?? Everytime I record a video from my Xperia neo v, the video recording is very choppy! It also happens after I view my recorded video...
When playing videos playback that i put on my memory card, my videos seems to be choppy. Is there such a thing as a high speed memory card that can fix this or is this most likely not the problem?
I copied over videos from amazon instant to my droid x and it says needs need lisences. How do I go about fixing this so I can watch my videos. It only happenx for some of the movies I tranfered.
I just purchased a DROID RAZR. I have installed the desktop client on two different machines. I can view pictures and listen to music but when I try to play any video format I receive the following error:
Error during video playback
MotoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.
I tried to download several files to test them on the phone's storage, but I am also unable to download any video using MotoCast. I can download pictures and documents. I have tried doing these operations through the Gallery app, as well as just browsing using the directory structure.
My issue is this, I cannot "fast forward" a video during playback. I can select a "fast forward" spot in the video using the slider or control panel but as soon as I let go it reverts back to where it was before (usually the beginning). The really weird part is when I download a player app it initially works, it did this trying RockPlayer, GeekVideo, BSPlayer and others, but as soon as I exit and re-start the apps they revert back to this behavior. My videos are 2.5 hours long and I need the ability to start, and re-start them at differnt points.
I tried MoboPlayer and it behaved the same. I noticed that the file type that does not work is the .WMV, the .MP4's work as they should.
Is this an issue with 2.3.6 that would be fixed if I go back to 2.3.5? I did not see any posts on the internet about this specific issue so I am confused. I received my RAZR MAXX a few days ago. I did the OTA update to 2.3.6 before checking this issue on 2.3.5.I am not rooted or modified in any way.I do not have this problem with the same applications with .WMV files on my old DX running GB 2.3.3 or my tablet running HC 3.2.1
I'm having a big problem recording video with the Motorola DROID RAZR.I can record about 1-2 minuts and then it freezes.I notice that is seems some audio is still being recorded (as I can hear it on the playback), but the video just locks up.Also, I notice that it boots me out of the camera and back to the home screen.I've tried recording when saving to the micro-card or internal. Both ways are still ineffective. Also, I've noticed that sometimes, when call are coming in, the screen is unresponsive and cannot pick-up the call. I'm not sure if this is related, but I thought I would mention here anyway.
Since the gingerbread update, if encryption is enabled, the highest video recording mode is 720x480.
Only if disable encryption is 1280x720 an option. 1280x720 worked fine with encrpytion under froyo - why did this change and how quickly can this serious bug be fixed?
This is a serious flaw that significantly disables advertised features that worked when I purchased the phone.
I'm a new DX2 owner and having several problems with the phone. First, When I reboot, any app I've placed on a home screen that has been moved to the SD card/media area comes up as the default settings icon (blue gear icon) but appear correctly in the app drawer. Second, When I record video it is pixilated and choppy on play back with parts of the video actually missing. I understand we're all waiting for Gingerbread and bugs may exist but, to me, the video issue is a real problem because it basically means I can't count on video working and therefore have to use another device (go XOOM) for video recording.
Corporate sync (encryption) disables 1080p video recording. ALL HD video. I started to setup my Zimbra activesync connection using the Moto Corporate Sync and get an informational message. The choice is OK only, and the only way to get 1080p video recording is to Factory Reset.
i believe i found a bug with 3.1. videocamera pauses while video recording when a live paper is being used when wallpaper is just a picture than it works properly.
i didn't quite get it, but when i start a clip playbakc in Internet app or browser the playback stops when switching to another app.i need it to continue...use case - i want to listen to the music and look at the cords at the same time.
reduce the audio recording level for video shoots?Cause if its just a little loud, the whole soundtrack gets distorted.Another nice one would be if we could get the noise cancellation mic thats next to the headphone plug to record a second audio track, making it stereo..
I have a Xoom wi-fi with android 4.0.3 build IML77. Before 4.0.3 I was able to playback flash video in the browser on my TV through the HDMI cable, now with 4.0.3 I have lost that ability. When trying to playback flash video on the browser in fullscreen, the screen becomes all black and the audio stops.
When I attempt to stream a video on my Razr Maxx from my home PC it freezes for a couple seconds every 5 seconds of playback. Is there something that needs to be changed to avoid this "buffering" issue.
Home PC - 3.6Ghz / 4 GB Ram / Cable Internet 100 Mbps / 590GB or 995GB free HD capacity. Phone connecting over 4G.
i have a wifi only xoom running android 4.0.3. yesterday i got the ics update and my ability to watch video from amazon on my xoom in my browser went bad. prior to the update it worked on and off but when it had problems they were never like this, and when it had problems they showed up on all computers i own that tried to use the service. the problem on the xoom tablet continues today. the video is pixelated and very choppy. the audio is very crackly and popping. this is not the way it worked prior to the upgrade.
i can watch the same video on my desktop chrome browser and it works fine. i can watch it on firefox browser and it works. on the xoom i can use the andriod marketplace to buy a video and watch it and it works fine. i can use the xoom browser to view ted and Internet videos and they work fine. is it the browser, the ics update, or is the amazon delivery system antagonistic to ics? also i noticed a very sharp drop in audio volume output of all kinds once the isc upgrade had been done. i simply can not turn up the volume loud enough to hear it easily.
I have a new Motorola RAZR on the Rogers network.I'm having a real tough time recording any video with it.I've tried several different recordings (primarily of the kids playing hockey in the arena), and I can only get a few seconds to a minute or so before it freezes. After viewing the playback, it looks as if the audio is still being recorded, however the video image freezes. Then it kicks me out and back to the home screen.
I record video using the camcorder app. I playback video and the audio has a high pitched whine / whistle or sound layered over the background audio. Sometimes the whine gets louder and sometimes lower but its aways there. Its very annoying sounding and seems like either feedback or interference or something. Anyone else experiencing this?I've tried various resolutions and zooming in and out, and lowering the volume all the way prior to entering the app (because you can't get any feedback on volume adjustment once in the app) and nothing i've tried seems to get rid of the sound. I have also tried the 3 "audio scenes" "Everyday" setting seems to be the worst, outdoors the best.
have an XT530 , runs 2.3.4.The default camera app , does not record video , when i switch to video mode and touch the record button a mesage "Cannot record video now" is displayed.Have i got a faulty piece or is video recording not available for this motorola phon
I'm trying to record video. I'm getting some nice image quality, but almost no sound. The audio is extremely muffled. I have my playback volume as high as it will go, and still can just barely hear anything. I can use Tango and make phone calls just fine, so it seems that my mic is working. The only time I've noticed the problem is when I'm trying to record a video. Even if the person I'm recording is standing right in front of my and speaking in a loud, clear voice, I can't hear much in the recorded video.
If I record video with the phone in a vertical position (keyboard at bottom), the video plays back sideways. No matter how I position the phone during playback, it's always sideways. If I record video with the phone in a horizontal position, it plays back just fine. No matter phone position. Is this normal? Do I always have to hold the phone sideways to record video?
i was wondering if anyone else had the problem with a high pitched noise in the background of a video recording during the playback of the video? I couldnt really find any good explanation over the web. i can only hear it after ive recorded the video and ive tested it in a quiet room with no interference but its still there in the background.
this week i updated my defy with froyo through local service center Nothing seems to be fine in Froyo! Here some of my issues list after update to froyo
1.)Unable to turn on data connections.(resolved after hard reset)
I recently got a droid x and usually when i play music the phone will crash. and reboot. Is myphone broke (this never happened on my moto droid). Im asking because i have a few days left to return my device and listening to music is something i use myphone for quite often.
