When I attempt to stream a video on my Razr Maxx from my home PC it freezes for a couple seconds every 5 seconds of playback. Is there something that needs to be changed to avoid this "buffering" issue.
Home PC - 3.6Ghz / 4 GB Ram / Cable Internet 100 Mbps / 590GB or 995GB free HD capacity. Phone connecting over 4G.
I just purchased a DROID RAZR. I have installed the desktop client on two different machines. I can view pictures and listen to music but when I try to play any video format I receive the following error:
Error during video playback
MotoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.
I tried to download several files to test them on the phone's storage, but I am also unable to download any video using MotoCast. I can download pictures and documents. I have tried doing these operations through the Gallery app, as well as just browsing using the directory structure.
keep on getting the "error during video playback" I have converted my videos to mpeg4 and synced and signed in still nothing

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the Droid RAZR, and whenever i try to access a file from my computer with an app (gallery and music) motocast on my computer will remain idle.
When I try to play music the time to the left will blink, but on my computer motocast will say its idle. But it works when i go to mymotocast.com. It worked when i originally got the phone and installed motocast. I've even tried to resart both my phone and computer, and i can't think of anything else to try.
I have problem with videos RECORDED BY Nokia 5800XM, during the recording picture freezes every 5-6, sometimes every 10 seconds. During the playback is same situation, screen freezes but audio continues.Then video arrives audio and after few seconds freezes again and audio continues.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery since I upgraded my Droid RAZR MAXX to ICS I've been having a problem playing music that is saved on my 32-Gig SD card. Prior to the upgrade I didn't have the problem. 8 out of 10 songs will skip for 2 seconds after playing for 10 seconds. The 10 seconds is consistent, but as I said 8 out of 10 songs will skip.
When the skipping occurs the device is totally unresponsive; screen and buttons (including power). After the skipping the song will play without any problems. It doesn't appear to be song specific as I've had the same song skip and then not skip. I'm using Verizon's My Music, but the same thing happens with Play Music and PowerAmp. I even fiddled with PowerAmp settings to have a large buffer and increased the priority without any change in the skipping.
Connecting with motocast? Because I can't at all. Won't synch, freezes at the loading screen. On win7 64bit pro. I've been trying for 2 days. Just about to switch to an iPhone 4s. I have motocast setup and can't synch at all...
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy search app (the one you get to by pressing the search button while on the home screen) would often freeze for 5-15 seconds after I had typed a few letters. This is fixed by disabling apps as something it searches for. Open the search app, press the menu button, select search settings, then searchable items, and uncheck the box next to Apps. Whatever causes apps to take forever to load when looking in the Apps section of the phone's settings also causes them to take an unreasonable time to load in Google's search app.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a xoom that i got today and am totally in love with it.... or was until an hour ago! i've tried to watch embedded videos (ranging from 8-35 minutes long) from multiple sources (my schools website, Internet.com, etc) and every single time it starts playing great and i can see the buffering indicator moving along until it gets about 1/3 complete and then it stops. suddenly the buffer indicator jumps to the end and the video plays until it reached the point in which it stopped earlier. at that point the video ends and gives me the "replay" option. i've factory data reset the device already, tried watching long videos through the Internet app (that works perfectly), and uninstalled and reinstalled adobe flash 10.3.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased the Droid RAZR MAXX, and I have setup motocast to work on my computer to my phone. I am currently able to do everything that I expected, however when I stream or download video files to my phone wirelessly I do have some problems.
The motocast software runs a program called gst-launcher.exe (Ibelieve) and it ends up taking my cpu usage up to between 50% - 70%. This seems a bit high, and it actually ends up making my desktop computer that is running the program over heat within a couple minutes.
While, my desktop computer isn't the latest and greatest technology, I am running Intel Core i7 860 at 2.8 GHz. This seems to me that if my computer cannot handle streaming video to my phone then most computers won't be able to handle this action.
My question is, is this normal and I have to accept that fact that my computer will not be able to stream media?
Also my other question is, is there a way to tone down the cpu usage so that it stays in a safer range of usage? (I am assuming the program is converting the file to the correct format to play on my phone. When I stopped the .exe from task manager my video was able to play on my phone for a bit longer. This indicates to me that if it is converting the video for my phone that if it weren't running at the fastest rate that I may be able to stream video.)
I was curious if you can stream a video from Turbo to a smart TV without Chromecast, like the G3 and Samsung phones?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've had ice cream sandwich for about two weeks. Since then I can't stream video when I'm in desktop mode. Android mode is very limited. I called verizon, they called motorola. Motorola said streaming is no longer supported on desktop mode with ICS. The crappy part is she could not report the problem, I was to explain my problem on this forum so the software poeaple could read this. I've got better things to do than registering for a forum so someone might read this and get streaming back. Not a happy camper with ICS.

The first video I tried to take was laggy during the recording, and playback was at a seemingly 1.5x speed and was glitchy. I recieved advice to uninstall Flash 10.3, and while shorter videos would record and play back okay, I still get some issues such as the phone rebooting while trying to navigate the gallery.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems when I try to watch videos. Every time I try to watch one it keeps buffering every few seconds. It doesn't matter if it's YouTube or another site. Same problem. I've turned the phone off. It doesn't. It's been going on for a week our two now. I also did a matter reset. After that YouTube worked for a while but now it's doing it again. Break.com won't pay either.
I'm on att and I have 2-3 bars of 4glte but still have the problem. This is annoying. Right now I'm hating this phone! Wishing I would have stayed with the iPhone!
My issue is this, I cannot "fast forward" a video during playback. I can select a "fast forward" spot in the video using the slider or control panel but as soon as I let go it reverts back to where it was before (usually the beginning). The really weird part is when I download a player app it initially works, it did this trying RockPlayer, GeekVideo, BSPlayer and others, but as soon as I exit and re-start the apps they revert back to this behavior. My videos are 2.5 hours long and I need the ability to start, and re-start them at differnt points.
I tried MoboPlayer and it behaved the same. I noticed that the file type that does not work is the .WMV, the .MP4's work as they should.
Is this an issue with 2.3.6 that would be fixed if I go back to 2.3.5? I did not see any posts on the internet about this specific issue so I am confused. I received my RAZR MAXX a few days ago. I did the OTA update to 2.3.6 before checking this issue on 2.3.5.I am not rooted or modified in any way.I do not have this problem with the same applications with .WMV files on my old DX running GB 2.3.3 or my tablet running HC 3.2.1
I have a Xoom wi-fi with android 4.0.3 build IML77. Before 4.0.3 I was able to playback flash video in the browser on my TV through the HDMI cable, now with 4.0.3 I have lost that ability. When trying to playback flash video on the browser in fullscreen, the screen becomes all black and the audio stops.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have a wifi only xoom running android 4.0.3. yesterday i got the ics update and my ability to watch video from amazon on my xoom in my browser went bad. prior to the update it worked on and off but when it had problems they were never like this, and when it had problems they showed up on all computers i own that tried to use the service. the problem on the xoom tablet continues today. the video is pixelated and very choppy. the audio is very crackly and popping. this is not the way it worked prior to the upgrade.
i can watch the same video on my desktop chrome browser and it works fine. i can watch it on firefox browser and it works. on the xoom i can use the andriod marketplace to buy a video and watch it and it works fine. i can use the xoom browser to view ted and Internet videos and they work fine. is it the browser, the ics update, or is the amazon delivery system antagonistic to ics? also i noticed a very sharp drop in audio volume output of all kinds once the isc upgrade had been done. i simply can not turn up the volume loud enough to hear it easily.
I record video using the camcorder app. I playback video and the audio has a high pitched whine / whistle or sound layered over the background audio. Sometimes the whine gets louder and sometimes lower but its aways there. Its very annoying sounding and seems like either feedback or interference or something. Anyone else experiencing this?I've tried various resolutions and zooming in and out, and lowering the volume all the way prior to entering the app (because you can't get any feedback on volume adjustment once in the app) and nothing i've tried seems to get rid of the sound. I have also tried the 3 "audio scenes" "Everyday" setting seems to be the worst, outdoors the best.

First, When I reboot, any app I've placed on a home screen that has been moved to the SD card/media area comes up as the default settings icon (blue gear icon) but appear correctly in the app drawer. Second, When I record video it is pixilated and choppy on play back with parts of the video actually missing. I understand we're all waiting for Gingerbread and bugs may exist but, to me, the video issue is a real problem because it basically means I can't count on video working and therefore have to use another device (go XOOM) for video recording.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new Motorola RAZR on the Rogers network.I'm having a real tough time recording any video with it.I've tried several different recordings (primarily of the kids playing hockey in the arena), and I can only get a few seconds to a minute or so before it freezes. After viewing the playback, it looks as if the audio is still being recorded, however the video image freezes. Then it kicks me out and back to the home screen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having a big problem recording video with the Motorola DROID RAZR.I can record about 1-2 minuts and then it freezes.I notice that is seems some audio is still being recorded (as I can hear it on the playback), but the video just locks up.Also, I notice that it boots me out of the camera and back to the home screen.I've tried recording when saving to the micro-card or internal. Both ways are still ineffective.Also, I've noticed that sometimes, when call are coming in, the screen is unresponsive and cannot pick-up the call. I'm not sure if this is related, but I thought I would mention here anyway.
