I want to stream music from my computer to my Atrix phone so I can listen to my computer music library anywhere. That's all. All Motocast USB lets me do is sync my music to the SD card, which I DON'T want to do.

When your PC searches for photos, music, files, etc and then makes them available for sync with your device, how to you:
A. Remove certain files so as they are not available
B. Cancel download of files on your device mid-stream
I was really glad that Motorola had finally released a sync utility for mac! My phone hasn't been able to do this since I bought it. Anyway. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of MotoCast App and installed 'Motorola PIM Sync' on my Milestone device (as per instructed on the website.) I've activated the app on my phone 'Contact Sync App is now Active' message appeared.
I've done everything correctly right? MotoCast USB opens up, and displays the 'Please wait while MotoCast USB loads content from your phone'. I can leave it there for up to half an hour and no progress is indicated. It is really important that I can sync my phone.
For days, I have been trying to sync my Razr Maxx w/ my iMac... I just can't, It says that the Internal Storage of my phone is of 0gb!

Ive got a Motorola Atrix on T-Mobile UK. When using webtop and the firefox browser I sometimes get directed to the mobile site rather than the full web site of certain pages like Facebook and Twitter. I'm guessing this is not supposed to happen. Is there a way to change the User Agent so it loads up full webpages?

It isn't even monthly. It's just occasional.So how can I stop the Motohelper software from loading every time I start my computer? Is there a way to just start it when I need it? Turn it off when I don't need it?

No it won't get past that at all, stuck on this screen for hours, rebootd phone, mac, reinstalled motocast. I've seen other having this load content issue also, how can we fix this? I'm using the motocast mac version downloaded from the website.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to sync media from the device I get a the following warning " In order to perform the sync process in MotoCast USB you must first stop the sync process in Windows Media Player." I'm using Win7 Ultimate and have no devices set to sync to WMP 12, when I try to stop the processes in taskmgr they just immediately turn right back on.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have it set up on my PC where I have 3 folders shared. I have a Movies folder, I have a TV Shows folder, and I have a Mixsets folder. I like to listen to DJ mixsets that can be rather large, anywhere from 50MB to 150MB in size. I can access my movies/tv shows off my PC at home just fine when I'm on a wireless network. I just go into Gallery>MotoCast and there i have my TV shows in one folder and Movies in another folder. The folder I named Dj Mixsets does not show up in either Gallery or Music app.That's fine cause when I go to the Files app, I can see all three folders on my PC. From there, I can still access my TV Shows and Movies just fine. But when I try to listen to any of the mixsets, it says Cannot connect to network, please try again. This is weird cause the Droid shows my home PC as "Online". Is it because the music files are really large that it won't play? MotoCast can play larger size video files no problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMotocast app was preloaded on new razr. I manually loaded motocast software on desktop and laptop. Motocast working great for getting pictures to and from desktop & laptop. I called tech suppoirt for email problem and was told to update my device to the latest OS. I did this and after rebooting device, there was no motocast app/logo and no USB selection window. I now can not download pics and can only upload files from my desktop and laptop.

Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time.But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."

Other android devices have the ability to synch with picassa to view their online albums am I missing something or is this a big whoops not included on Moto's part.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi was watching a video on my blackberry bold and the battery was almost dead, the LED was flashing and there was the red sign of the low battery but i ignored that and kept watching the video then suddenly the blackberry freezes and the loading sign appears i take out the battery and put it back in (hard reset)
but it didnt turn back on!! nothing happened! the screen remained black and the LED didnt flash the normal red color at the first of booting .i waited overnight with the battery out.. but the next day it still didnt boot and the LED didnt even turn red:S:S..then i tried charging it.. but nothing happened .. and the LED didnt turn red.
After updating to ics motocast wants to install on my pc and does not give me an option to say no and not have it show again, like the vista start screen. I decided to install motocast and just ignore it but when I rebooted it started my browser with a video for backup assistant after looking thru msconfig and regedit I believe this program to be malware like microsoft security 2012 or many other softwares that use extortion to sell their product. I am not questioning the validity of the backup software but rather the way it like motocast doesn't give me an option. When I called Verizon they said it was a Motorola problem so can someone please tell me how to get this MALWARE from loading! I did get the browser to stop loading after removing all of motocast via add/remove.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI downloaded an ap-monitoring ap that sends an alarm when aps are operating over a selected percentage of CPU and "Contacts New Storage" is constantly alarming at sometimes over 70%. The main problem is when I am in the Text Messaging screen it completely freezes before I can open a conversation. Also, if I want to start a new text conversation the To: field won't let me copy from my contacts or even type in a number. the phone also freezes when I am trying to look up a number in the contacts to make a call and while I am on a call I can't hit end sometimes. There is also an over-all sluggishness to the phone but I think that is because of the low volume CPU. I am upgraded to 2.1. I have tried to reboot. And reset the phone completely. I wonder if there is a way I can turn off or delete motoblur and just use the android?

We have installed the software on the computer (a Macbook Pro) and skipped the wireless setup (because we are only interested in USB syncing at this time). But when we connect the phone, all we get is a message, "Please wait while MotoCast USB loads your content."

Now, i am having freezing screen issues. the screen just stops responding to the touch. for example, yesterday someone called me, i saw them calling, it was ringing, i tried to slide the green button to answer but nothing happened. it was frozen/stuck. this has happened 2 times now. not just when someone calls but just in general when i am trying to unlock my phone. when i tried unlocking my phone, nothing happened. i pressed the power button to wake up the phone but nothing. it was just a black screen. finally i held down the power button and it eventually turned off and powered back on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an XPRT that I obtained from Sprint 30 days ago. Like phone but having issues with screen freezing up when phone turned on. I travel and must turn off phone when getting on plane. Once I get off, I turn on XPRT and it appears to boot up but then freezes or the screen goes blank. I pull the battery, re-insert battery, and power on. Same thing will happen again so I pull battery and go through same cycle. Usually after two cycles, the phone is fine but it can take 4 or more. I took the phone back to the Sprint store where it was purchase and it happened to the tech while he was trouble-shooting this problem. He did not have an answer and he looked at widgets and aps and saw nothing unusual. All apps or widgets are either from Android market or Motorola. Phone has been charged using Motorola supplied charger. Sprint store took back this phone and game me a new one. Seemed to work ok but just go back from trip and same issues. I turned the phone off last evening and turned it on this morning. It would boot up but took 4 cycles to quit either freezing or blank screen. This is getting to be a painful solution. I do have the latest software installed.
