I've been having issues with my phone taking up to 5 seconds for my phone to load my widgets and applications on my home screen when I press the home key. I'm constantly killing apps and it seems that when I "fast reboot" my phone and restart the core processes the phone is back to normal again.
View 4 RepliesAfter playing a game, or using Gmail app, or using the stock texting s/w, etc. when I go back to the home screen there is this bothersome latency with repopulating the screen with my icons and the "basic icons" (such as phone, texting, apps, etc.) at the bottom. Is there something I can try with the app manager, or some other utility that will tell me what's causing this latency?

View 7 Replies View RelatedUp until about four weeks ago, things were just peachy on the Auto Home and Navigation screens. Now, no matter what the brightness widget is set to, when I have my droid docked on the windshield, I can't see the menu(s). Also, the navigation screen is MUCH darker, but managable. Both these changes took place at the same time.

I can move them around, delete them, add widgets and shortcuts and stuff like that. BUT I can not add an app by selecting the 'add to homescreen' option. I cleared teh cache and am not runnng any boot loaders of the type. Up to date droid x.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got the Droid RAZR HD MAXX, and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing stuttering on the home screen. Specifically, it happens when swiping to the Quick Settings and Manage Pages screens. After I swipe once to the screen, it seems to be smooth when going back and forth, it's just the initial showing of the screen when I notice it. Then going to different apps and then back to the home screen, I'll see it happen again. It's not a deal breaker, but it just makes the phone seem "slower" than it actually is. Also, the Circles widget seems to look choppy at some points as well, during the weather animation or when flipping the clock.

But after screen shuts off for about a minute turn phone back on and is at blue screen. like screen behind making a call. return button does not clear it but home button does until phone screen times out then it does same thing again. Something real strange happens when I turn my phone off and on again or if it reboots for any reason.Three (all Android Market apps) of my shortcut icons on the home screen are replaced by a blue generic looking icon. They still work as shortcut though. The way to fix this is to delete them from the home screen and then set up a new shortcut: The app icon shows up as expected.......... until the next time I turn off my Razr. Annoying to say the least.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI went into the settings->call settings->voicemail settings and changed the voicemail number to be *86,,0000 (replace 0000 with my actual voicemail pin) so that it would dial, then pause (twice), then send my pin. This works if I use the #1 speed dial shortcut to voicemail, or if I just use my contacts entry for voicemail.
It doesn't work if I use the voicemail app shortcut that is on the home screen. Does anyone know a way to get that voicemail app shortcut on the home screen to use the voicemail settings?
Does anyone know, with stock apps only, is it possible to save a data file to to the homescreen for quick reference? At minimum, I would like a shortcut to the sepecific data file. Example; I use a simple Microsoft word calendar template to do scheduling for the month. I email the file to myself and save it to the messaging folder. Everytime I need to check who is working, etc....I have to go through the "My Files" shortcut, messaging, then the file I need. Would like to just save the data file or a direct link to it on my homescreen very similar to (gulp) windows.
