I don't know if this question has been asked, I couldn't find anything when I searched. Is there a way to stop the apps from automatically loading on the home screen after they are downloaded?
View 3 RepliesNever had this problem before but it started in the last few days... I can no longer add apps to my homescreens by selecting "add to homescreen". I can move them around, delete them, add widgets and shortcuts and stuff like that. BUT I can not add an app by selecting the 'add to homescreen' option. I cleared teh cache and am not runnng any boot loaders of the type. Up to date droid x.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy apps occasionall disappear from main home pages as well as from folders placed on home page but yet they are all still loaded on phone.Has happened numerous times for same apps and most apps are stored on SD card.Running latest gingerbread version 2.3.3. This has happened before on version 2.2.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with a wallpaper saved from the gallery. Most of the times it will stick, but about 20% of the time the default red circuit board wallpaper will return. Phone is still functional and if I put it to sleep then reawake, most of the times my gallery wallpaper will return. Really odd. Happens sometimes right after I save a new wallpaper or sometimes later that day after multiple "wake ups".
I was thinking of locating the default wallpapers and placing my pics in there, but if I pick one of the other stock wallpapers, it has done it there, too. Right back to the default circuit board.
Cannot set volume for phone, slider jumps all around, and if I do manage to hit "done" and set it defaults back to silent.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe default mode for the camera is Photo. Is there anyway to keep it locked on another mode? I would like to keep it locked on the Video mode for instance, but after 5 or 10 minutes it automatically defaults back to the Photo mode. So if I'm not paying attention I think I'm taking a video, and it turns out it is a photo.

i still have a fair few apps running constantly even when i close the apps out with the recent apps button or when i go into settings, apps, running, and close them all manually there. Is theres any quicker better way of doing this? I don't want to disable these apps

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Defy has an odd problem whereby every so often I am not able to move apps around the home screen, or add new ones. If I click and hold on an existing app icon, or an app in the drawer, then I get the vibration as normal and I can drag the app around the screen but:I never get the green highlight showing new places where I can put the icon, andI can't drag to another page of the home screen: the side bars never turn green to let me flip to the next page.I also can't resize widgets like the clock or weather when it gets in this state.The only way I've found to clear this fault is to reboot the phone, which is a bit of a pain.

Now, no matter what the brightness widget is set to, when I have my droid docked on the windshield, I can't see the menu(s). Also, the navigation screen is MUCH darker, but managable. Both these changes took place at the same time.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter playing a game, or using Gmail app, or using the stock texting s/w, etc. when I go back to the home screen there is this bothersome latency with repopulating the screen with my icons and the "basic icons" (such as phone, texting, apps, etc.) at the bottom. Is there something I can try with the app manager, or some other utility that will tell me what's causing this latency?

Also, are we limited to the 5 home screens stock provides or can we add more? OAN: So far, my battery life is MUCH improved and I got the update yesterday so if it still needs a few days to "settle" in, then I'm going to be one happy D4 owner. View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got the Droid RAZR HD MAXX, and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing stuttering on the home screen. Specifically, it happens when swiping to the Quick Settings and Manage Pages screens. After I swipe once to the screen, it seems to be smooth when going back and forth, it's just the initial showing of the screen when I notice it. Then going to different apps and then back to the home screen, I'll see it happen again. It's not a deal breaker, but it just makes the phone seem "slower" than it actually is. Also, the Circles widget seems to look choppy at some points as well, during the weather animation or when flipping the clock.

But after screen shuts off for about a minute turn phone back on and is at blue screen. like screen behind making a call. return button does not clear it but home button does until phone screen times out then it does same thing again. Something real strange happens when I turn my phone off and on again or if it reboots for any reason.Three (all Android Market apps) of my shortcut icons on the home screen are replaced by a blue generic looking icon. They still work as shortcut though. The way to fix this is to delete them from the home screen and then set up a new shortcut: The app icon shows up as expected.......... until the next time I turn off my Razr. Annoying to say the least.
