When MotoCast USB starts, I get a MS Visual C++ Runtime Error;

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
I bought the 16GB MOTOACTV, and I've been struggling for days to get it working. After countless restarts, uninstalls, reinstalls, configuration, etc., I think it finally works... except for one thing. The device fails to sync fitness data through MotoCast USB. Every time I connect, a window pops up titled "Connection Error" that says "Your MOTOACTV device cannot connect to the internet."
Of course, I've updated the device software to MA 1.6.12 N16 and Motocast to 1.2.9 (with Motcast USB at version 1.7.0151.0). and I've let everything related to the MOTOACTV through my firewall. The music sync works, and I can see all my playlists from iTunes and Windows Media Player, and I can even sync the fitness data through Wi-Fi (Settings->Wireless->Workout Sync->Sync now).
I just got done reinstalling MotoCast and MotoHelper 2.1.40 Driver 5.5.0, and that didn't help, and I've done a factory reset and tons of reboots. What else is there that I can try?

MotoCast WiFi is fantastic! I love it! Except at boot-up time on my PC.
I run MotoCast WiFi on my trusty XP desktop. It is not a wimpy machine, but it isn't a quad-core screamer either. When I boot it up with MotoCast Wifi set to load automatically, MotoCast immediately starts grabbing almost all of the disk IO. Worse than Windows Search Indexer, worse than Google Music Manager. My computer becomes almost crippled for almost 20 minutes, and the disk drive with my docs and music library on it sounds like a jackhammer through it all.
So; is there a way to delay the MotoCast startup? And/or is there a way to set MotoCast to back off a little bit when rescanning my files? (It's like MotoCast has no sense of "only what's changed".)
Can use Motocast just fine thru my phone and web browser with my home computer (mymotocast.com).
Trying to setup the MotoActv account on my Droid RAZR and it's giving me "Invalid Credentials" when entering my Motocast ID. When I go to www.motoactv.com I get the same "Invalid Credentials" error as well.
If my Motocast ID works for the mymotocast website shouldnt it also work for the motoactv site?
I have a motoactv. The installation was ok. Everything was going fine, until I tryed to create my MOTOCAST ID. I am connected to the internet, but I always get this kind of message: "the device was not able to connect to the server. Try again in a few minutes."

One is XP-Home SP3, another is W7-HomePremium 32bit, another is W7-HomePremium 64bit.I am having the same issue with all three computers. The MotoCast software installs all four steps without errors. But right clicking MotoCast icon/Wireless settings shows only "Content, General, Account, Network" tabs. I suspect this is because MotoCast is not recognizing my MotoActv device. My MotoActv device does not show up in Windows Explorer, so I can not install any software from it, or load content into it.When I connect the MotoActv device, all of my computers do recognize the USB connection, and Device Manager shows "Mot Composite ADB Interface", "Motorola USB Networking Driver", and "USB Composite Device" as working properly.My MotoCast web account works fine, and loads(indexes) my computer content fine. But without connection to my MotoActv device, it is almost useless for me. I also can not sign into MotoActv.com (it keeps telling me "Invalid credentials, please try again.") I suspect this is because the MotoActv device is not connected/recognized by MotoCast.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI've had this watch 2 weeks and I'm really annoyed at Motorola. Watch just updated to latest software, and it seemed to be ok. Went out tonight on 11 mile run. Watch failed 20 seconds after starting workout. Stop running. Try again. Failed again. I do this like 6 times, even powered the device off and back on. Then, somewher around mile 9 into run, it started recording 0.98 miles... hmmmmph... so I stop running again. Restart. Nope, fails again after 20 seconds. I get home and sync workout.. it knows that i went like 0.98 mile, but there is now raw data.
1. Don't you all test your software before releasing?
2. Can I rollback to previous version? It needed help, but it worked.

A. Remove certain files so as they are not available
B. Cancel download of files on your device mid-stream
I was really glad that Motorola had finally released a sync utility for mac! My phone hasn't been able to do this since I bought it. Anyway. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of MotoCast App and installed 'Motorola PIM Sync' on my Milestone device (as per instructed on the website.) I've activated the app on my phone 'Contact Sync App is now Active' message appeared.
I've done everything correctly right? MotoCast USB opens up, and displays the 'Please wait while MotoCast USB loads content from your phone'. I can leave it there for up to half an hour and no progress is indicated. It is really important that I can sync my phone.
For days, I have been trying to sync my Razr Maxx w/ my iMac... I just can't, It says that the Internal Storage of my phone is of 0gb!

I have it set up on my PC where I have 3 folders shared. I have a Movies folder, I have a TV Shows folder, and I have a Mixsets folder. I like to listen to DJ mixsets that can be rather large, anywhere from 50MB to 150MB in size. I can access my movies/tv shows off my PC at home just fine when I'm on a wireless network. I just go into Gallery>MotoCast and there i have my TV shows in one folder and Movies in another folder. The folder I named Dj Mixsets does not show up in either Gallery or Music app.That's fine cause when I go to the Files app, I can see all three folders on my PC. From there, I can still access my TV Shows and Movies just fine. But when I try to listen to any of the mixsets, it says Cannot connect to network, please try again. This is weird cause the Droid shows my home PC as "Online". Is it because the music files are really large that it won't play? MotoCast can play larger size video files no problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMotocast app was preloaded on new razr. I manually loaded motocast software on desktop and laptop. Motocast working great for getting pictures to and from desktop & laptop. I called tech suppoirt for email problem and was told to update my device to the latest OS. I did this and after rebooting device, there was no motocast app/logo and no USB selection window. I now can not download pics and can only upload files from my desktop and laptop.

Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time.But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."

I ran before the software update and sync'd to my motoactv.com account.After I installed the software update, my Motoactv DOES NOT SYNC with my account.I tried everything: sync with my laptop (Mac OS X Lion, last update), sync with wi-fi, sync after power off/power on, sync after reboot (start+power), sync after reboot of my laptop, sync after "factory reset". DOES NOT SYNC.
Then I tried a new account on motoactv.com. Now it does sync!The I tried to login to motoactv.com page -the new version is UGLY and DOES NOT WORK in Mac OS X Lion' Safari, why we need ads on that page? I BOUGHT, I OWN one MOTOACTV 8GB- and I can login to my old account, all my OLD info is there, but I want to put my new info, my new stats there.The watch does sync with my new account, DOES NOT SYNC with my old account.Then I tried to "factory reset" and to sync with old account... STILL DOES NOT SYNC.Today, I ran, and phone DOES NOT SYNC with new account neither... then I "factory reset" and it does sync with new account, but it DOES NOT SYNC with old account.
How do you sync using the usb?
Because since it messes up using the wireless and you can't view the details on the website. So I have been using the usb and now all of sudden it doesn't sync the workouts.
I can't find any info on if there is some special way to sync the workout using the usb.
After updating to ics motocast wants to install on my pc and does not give me an option to say no and not have it show again, like the vista start screen. I decided to install motocast and just ignore it but when I rebooted it started my browser with a video for backup assistant after looking thru msconfig and regedit I believe this program to be malware like microsoft security 2012 or many other softwares that use extortion to sell their product. I am not questioning the validity of the backup software but rather the way it like motocast doesn't give me an option. When I called Verizon they said it was a Motorola problem so can someone please tell me how to get this MALWARE from loading! I did get the browser to stop loading after removing all of motocast via add/remove.

I haven't used my iPod for about a year, and I was always under the impression that you could only transfer iTunes purchases to an Apple device.

Whenever I try to sync it, it says Connecting and Starting Sync, but then it says something like Sync Error or Connection Error. I have tried syncing using my home WiFi network (with password), my HTC One X portable hotspot (without password) and USB, but nothing works.
I am using Windows 7 64bit.
I have a brand new Macbook Air/ Motoactv 8G ( ver. 4.55.78 ) and try to connect to Motoactv on the web. After the install of MotoCast and the creation of the ID I try to go in the Motoactv web side, but no way. I Have my Firewall OFF, under Sharing: Share your connection from MotMobile / To computers using Ports F100. Is there something more that I have to switch to sync Motoactv with my device?
View 12 Replies View RelatedAfter the last update my computer brought up a screen saying to enter in my Proxy information. This is the first time it did it and I don't have any proxy information. Since then my motoactv will connect to my network but won't sync the data over wifi. If I use usb I can sync music but no fitness data. I tried the basic stuff like forgetting my network or using my phone as a hotspot but nothing worked. So i deceided I would do a factory reset. I would only lose one day of data plus one run and one golfing outing. I do the factory reset and now it won't connect at all. It gives me an error code 360.Now to my GPS problem. Before the update it would lock on in 10- 15 sec. Now it takes almost the full 5 min and sometimes it won't do it at all. Everything was fine before the update.

I called and was on the phone with the technician and he said someone would call me, it was upgraded to a tech 3 level. nothing so far.In the meantime i am still working out but have not metric..So I pull out my old computer that runs on Vista and viola it updated and synced!Is it possible that the device can only be synced on one laptop?
