I have a Xoom wi-fi with android 4.0.3 build IML77. Before 4.0.3 I was able to playback flash video in the browser on my TV through the HDMI cable, now with 4.0.3 I have lost that ability. When trying to playback flash video on the browser in fullscreen, the screen becomes all black and the audio stops.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a wifi only xoom running android 4.0.3. yesterday i got the ics update and my ability to watch video from amazon on my xoom in my browser went bad. prior to the update it worked on and off but when it had problems they were never like this, and when it had problems they showed up on all computers i own that tried to use the service. the problem on the xoom tablet continues today. the video is pixelated and very choppy. the audio is very crackly and popping. this is not the way it worked prior to the upgrade.
i can watch the same video on my desktop chrome browser and it works fine. i can watch it on firefox browser and it works. on the xoom i can use the andriod marketplace to buy a video and watch it and it works fine. i can use the xoom browser to view ted and Internet videos and they work fine. is it the browser, the ics update, or is the amazon delivery system antagonistic to ics? also i noticed a very sharp drop in audio volume output of all kinds once the isc upgrade had been done. i simply can not turn up the volume loud enough to hear it easily.

View 11 Replies View Relatedis there anything i can do to improve flash video playback? after the 2.2 update i was excited to be able to use flash on my phone, but video playback on it seems so bad that it's unwatchable.it's like a slideshow at best, and at worse i'm only getting one frame every thirty seconds or so. oddly enough the sound never skips or stutters at all.i've tried it over wifi and 3g. Internet videos in the native app and other non-flash streaming media seem to work perfectly.i'm using the stock browser with flash player 10.2.157.51 (the latest one available in the android market), and i've tried several different videos linked from m.flash.com
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy issue is this, I cannot "fast forward" a video during playback. I can select a "fast forward" spot in the video using the slider or control panel but as soon as I let go it reverts back to where it was before (usually the beginning). The really weird part is when I download a player app it initially works, it did this trying RockPlayer, GeekVideo, BSPlayer and others, but as soon as I exit and re-start the apps they revert back to this behavior. My videos are 2.5 hours long and I need the ability to start, and re-start them at differnt points.
I tried MoboPlayer and it behaved the same. I noticed that the file type that does not work is the .WMV, the .MP4's work as they should.
Is this an issue with 2.3.6 that would be fixed if I go back to 2.3.5? I did not see any posts on the internet about this specific issue so I am confused. I received my RAZR MAXX a few days ago. I did the OTA update to 2.3.6 before checking this issue on 2.3.5.I am not rooted or modified in any way.I do not have this problem with the same applications with .WMV files on my old DX running GB 2.3.3 or my tablet running HC 3.2.1
I have the motorola xoom wifi edition since January this year.When i try and use my video camera it will force close. The photo camera is fine but when i press to switch to video it freezes, the flash comes on and it force closes

By the way I have the whole motorola multimedia kit.
So, most flash enabled sites work great on my Xoom. However, ESPN, one that I frequent often, does NOT unless I do the following:
1. Type about:debug in url bar
2. Go to options and hit the Dump v8 counters
3. Then hit Dump navigation cache
Then I refresh the ESPN page I was on for video and it works.You have to do this every time you visit the site...
today I updated flash player to 10.3 and now unable to see pictures in emails wether it is app or browser!

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my Xoom to any port on my Samsung LCD, it syncs at 1280 x 720 only. There are no settings for the HDMI ports on the TV, they are all auto sensing. I am using a 9` HDMI cable. The picture looks fine, although I'm sure it could look better.

I have the pieces, and have verified I can do straight HDMI to a monitor that supports it. When I try to run the signal to DVI on a different monitor, I get nothing.
I'm having problems playing my .mp4 files on my TV using the HDMI output option. The mirroring keeps blacking out and coming back in. It's almost not woth watching a movie because of it. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Xoom experienced two odd issues once the latest update was applied. Status shows Android version 3.2.1 and Kernel version 2.6.36.3-g111d827 andriod-build@apa28 #1, Build # HTK75D (sorry, that doesn't mean much to me...) This is a WiFi only model.
Issue #1: Whenever I playback a video, the video pauses every 55-60 seconds. Doesn't matter if I'm using a 3rd party player, Netflix, or the built-in Gallery player. Every time, any video. There are videos on the main memory, the SD card and even streming- all the same result. I have also noticed a number of games pause as well.
Issue #2: Opening links doesn't work. When I try to click on a link in Tweecaster Pro (for example) it would normally ask which browser I wanted to complete the action with. But now all I get is a pause and dimmed screen. Another touch of the sceen and I'm back to where I started. This happens with several different programs- not just browsers.
I understand ICS is coming, and have heard there is a 3.2.2 version available, but none show up when I check for updates.
Is there any way to turn the orientation of the screen when the HDMI cable is plugged in.
Currently when i use the HDMI cable the screen turns such that the cable goes in from the bottom which if the XOOM is on my lap is awkward. It would bebetter if the HDMI port was at the top.
I just discovered some weird issue with comedy central videos. If you go to the site > full episodes and choose either Daily show or Colbert report the playback starts OK but there is no sound.I'm on 3g Xoom connected via WIFI. Android 3.0.1 flash 10.2
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm using a stock, untouched Droid X2 with the included MicroSD card and the video recording is simply broken. The first video I tried to take was laggy during the recording, and playback was at a seemingly 1.5x speed and was glitchy. I recieved advice to uninstall Flash 10.3, and while shorter videos would record and play back okay, I still get some issues such as the phone rebooting while trying to navigate the gallery.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a DROID RAZR. I have installed the desktop client on two different machines. I can view pictures and listen to music but when I try to play any video format I receive the following error:

MotoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.
I tried to download several files to test them on the phone's storage, but I am also unable to download any video using MotoCast. I can download pictures and documents. I have tried doing these operations through the Gallery app, as well as just browsing using the directory structure.
When I attempt to stream a video on my Razr Maxx from my home PC it freezes for a couple seconds every 5 seconds of playback. Is there something that needs to be changed to avoid this "buffering" issue.

My HDMI icon stays in my status bar after I use HDMI to my TV. It won't go away until a reboot. Does anyone know why? Is there a procedure I'm not following to disconnect cable?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI record video using the camcorder app. I playback video and the audio has a high pitched whine / whistle or sound layered over the background audio. Sometimes the whine gets louder and sometimes lower but its aways there. Its very annoying sounding and seems like either feedback or interference or something. Anyone else experiencing this?I've tried various resolutions and zooming in and out, and lowering the volume all the way prior to entering the app (because you can't get any feedback on volume adjustment once in the app) and nothing i've tried seems to get rid of the sound. I have also tried the 3 "audio scenes" "Everyday" setting seems to be the worst, outdoors the best.

When I hook the hdmi cable to the phone, something happens because the Motorola logo shows up on the TV, but I don't get a prompt to select mirroring or video out. From what I've read, that's what I expected would happen.Any ideas what could be happening? Could this possibly be a defect in the phone? Some software setup issue? The only HDMI setting I can find is hte display area, and changing that doesn't affect this.
