If I record video with the phone in a vertical position (keyboard at bottom), the video plays back sideways.No matter how I position the phone during playback, it's always sideways.If I record video with the phone in a horizontal position, it plays back just fine. No matter phone position.Is this normal? Do I always have to hold the phone sideways to record video?
View 6 RepliesWhen filming in portrait, then turning the phone to film in landscape in the same clip, the finished video doesn't flip. It will film in landscape, but, will be viewed sideways. I've never done that before this weekend, so, I don't know if this is normal. Is this common to all devices?

I have had a recurring issue with my screen not wanting to change orientation when I rotate the phone. This is especially frustrating since the portrait keyboard is difficulty for me to use. I have tried resets, battery pulls and most recently a security wipe. While the phone will work properly at first, the problem eventually recurs. I am assuming that I may have a faulty accelerometer. Is there a test that can confirm if this is the case?

White stripe only shows when light is coming direct to camera from a light source like fluorecent lamp and from a particular angle.Stripe shows in both portrait and landscape mode and always at same place. I am attaching 2 photos 1 taken in landscape and other in portrait.I have a protecting cover but it is not covering the camera lens.
I think other z3 devices do not have this issue as i have searched a lot but i only found 1 other person facing this issue and i have shared the link above. Why this stripe shows on photos? Is it a known issue? Should i claim warranty?
I am using a Samsung T401G (Net10) but I guess this would apply to any Qwerty slider phone. My resolution is 176x220. No matter what I size the wallpaper at, it only works correctly in portrait mode, but when turned to landscape mode, it has gray bars at either side.

Just got a Samsung solstice. Had a quick question about it. Any time that I need to type something, I turn the phone on it's side to get to the qwerty keyboard. However, When I'm going through my contacts and I need to type in the search field, I turn the phone on it's side but it does not give me the qwerty keyboard. Can anyone confirm this? Just trying to make sure AT&T didn't give me a bad phone or something.

And when I press the green accept button (in either mode), the ring tone stops and after a second or so, it starts to ring again. And obviously, during all this, I am not able to receive the call using the screen button.I know the simple solution is to use the physical green button at the bottom but would still like to resolve it. Is it a genuine problem with all bb storm 9520s? Is there a fix to this by changing accelerometer settings or something?

View 5 Replies View Relatedok i am bored at work finished my stuff early i must kill 30 minutes. anyways i get on Internet to watch some hdnet fights my phone that im still waiting for its replacement to get here as usual battery down to 40% witih little use. i have to put it to charge im thinking cool the charging hookup is on the left side so i can lay phone on therightet side and watch videos cable pointing up. well it plays full screen upside down why put the usb port on the side and not let video play in full screen landscape mode with usb port facing up. is there a way to fix this because its so lame. i have to hold the phone rather than lat it there because the usb crable is in the way when trying to watch in landscape mode. in top of it my touchscreen is still acting erratic while charging.

I haven't seen this one discussed in a long time - speed of change versus the iFruit. I remember way back at the start of the year we basically concluded that the slow change from Landscape to Portrait and back was due to Honeycomb - some delay setting in SW. I was just at Best Buy and was able to compare the Xoom and Asus Transformer side by side. It's pretty evident that the Transformer switches a bit faster than the Xoom. So I am wondering if it is actually a hardware difference.Why is the change speed important? Well my theory (watching people compare all the tablets to the iPad) is that the iPad comes across as a much more polished device. The delay on the Android tablets make them look inferior.(BTW - was at BB to check out the Kindle Fire. Have it on pre-order to give as a birthday gift. I was considering to cancel the order, but based on playing with it, I think it will sufice)

Once I start doing a few calculations, the answer (whatever it is), is replaced on the screen by usually whatever the last digit is. Happens in both landscape and portrait modes. Anyone else experiencing this? I hated the stock calculator on my OG Droid, so often used other calculator apps from the Market, but with the Xoom, I actually really liked the stock calculator, and can't seem to find any good ones to replace that look good on the Xoom and work well with Honeycomb
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have discovered that all of the pictures that I take in portrait orientation once emailed to someone they are switched to landscape. The pictures can not be rotated back to the proper orientation with out opening Paint program and rotating them manually. I take hundreds and thousands of pics of my life (kids, vacations etc..) and do not want to have to manipulate them later on once moved to my computer. If you lower the picture quality to 6mp it fixes the problem, also if you shoot the pic in HDR mode. I should not have to do this to make it work. Fail.

It's the border with the 3 dots on the right which indicate home, back, and previous tasks button, and the top border with the time and everything.. It's annoying because it blocks some of the video of there something going on on the top or right side. Sometimes I can sail it away and it'll go away. Other times its stuck there..
Is there a specific setting to disable it, or a certain gesture?
My problem is in the video recording mode..when i'm in the middle of recording,the motion in the screen moves slowly for about half a second..and sometimes it stucks before it went back normal and then again stuck...i'm terribly angry when i'm recording the precious moment of my child's first step walking...i'm using the high quality setting and when i used the normal setting,the problem is gone but the picture is not good as the high quality setting.......
