When I watch a video in Motorola's Video player, it flips to landscape every time; no way to watch in portrait like I can on my old Droid or the iPhone.
View 5 RepliesI'm unable to take a portrait photograph or video on my Razr. If I hold it in portrait mode, the icons don't rotate like they do on the Galaxy Nexus, there's no option to set it to portrait mode, and every picture ends up in landscape. Even if I disable Auto Rotate, they're all in landscape. This is a real pain in the butt because sometimes I need more detail on something that is taller than it is wide but I have to settle for the extra space of landscape. The Galaxy Nexus and Droid Bionic allow portrait photographs and video, why doesn't the Razr.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have discovered that all of the pictures that I take in portrait orientation once emailed to someone they are switched to landscape. The pictures can not be rotated back to the proper orientation with out opening Paint program and rotating them manually. I take hundreds and thousands of pics of my life (kids, vacations etc..) and do not want to have to manipulate them later on once moved to my computer. If you lower the picture quality to 6mp it fixes the problem, also if you shoot the pic in HDR mode. I should not have to do this to make it work. Fail.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a relatively new Razr M. I have taken several pictures with it over the past 2 months with no problems. Starting a few days ago, I am having this problem: I'll be viewing photos in the gallery, and all of the sudden the photos go blank. There is just a gray square. I can flip from gray square to gray square -- no image shows. If I go back to the main gallery, it may or may not show pictures. There might just be gray squares, or all the pictures might be there. I have tried turning my phone off, then back on. The pictures will show up initially, but then when I start flipping through them, suddenly they turn to gray squares again. I have transferred the pictures to my computer, just to make sure they are saved somewhere. But can't figure out why they will show up and then turn to gray squares.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had ice cream sandwich for about two weeks. Since then I can't stream video when I'm in desktop mode. Android mode is very limited. I called verizon, they called motorola. Motorola said streaming is no longer supported on desktop mode with ICS. The crappy part is she could not report the problem, I was to explain my problem on this forum so the software poeaple could read this. I've got better things to do than registering for a forum so someone might read this and get streaming back. Not a happy camper with ICS.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is odd and Motorola Tech support has no idea.For some reason photos taken in portrait end up in lanscape and upside down (sideways) to recipient when sent via MMS. I have sent test pics to myself and three other phones, HTC, Bionc and S3 they all recieve them in lanscape. this didn't happen with my old T-bolt! Portrait photo's were sent and received as portrait.Motorola could not not confirm if this is an issue as they have nothing noted. They didn't have a phone with service to test. They want me to do a full restore and then send the phone in if that doesn't work. I want to make sure this issue is just confined to my phone before I go down the replacement road. I'm still with-in my 14 day Verizon return time and if this is an issue for all M's, it's a deal breaker.Can someone text an mms picture to themself taken portrait and see if they recieve it in portrait? That would be very beneficial for both myself and Motorola.Not sure if it matters but my phone askes me if I want to resize photo every time I try to send via text.

The same google calendar issue exists on both phones.1) I like to see my calendar on Agenda view, but when I close the calendar app and then open it up again later, it is shown in month view. Why can't it stay in Agenda view? Is there something I can do so that it stays in whatever view I viewed last?2) If I click on "show today", sometimes it shows today's date in Agenda view, but then it may jump to an earlier date.If I again click "show today", then it jumps to an even earlier date. After about 5-6 tries, it usually goes back to today's date.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have posted appointments in the calendar on my Droid Razr.However, I can no longer view the appointments posted.I still get reminder notices for those appointments , but when I go to the calendar itself, the calendar is blank.I went to calendar settings and it shows no default calendars.In fact, I have no calendars listed.I recall that there use to be 2 calendars listed..) my gmail account calendar and 2) the "Phone Calendar".The appointments I posted were all scheduled in the "Phone Calendar".I also went under settings>accounts to make sure the accounts were listed and it shows my gmail account listed.I never posted any appointments using my gmail account...only the "Phone Calendar".The Phone Back-Up Assistant shows that everything was synced and backed up successfully.How do I pull up/view the appointments stored under "Phone Calendar" in the calendar app?

Another problem is unable to answer call sometimes. The possition of the green button is around the letter "w". It's not responding whEn I tried to tap and drag the green button to answer incoming call.
For those of you who want to view websites in desktop mode on your mobile I would first recommend you just use Dolphin browser. They have an easy toggle add on that you can go back and forth between mobile and desktop modes very quickly. If you must have the stock Android browser I have a trick for you too. Open up stock browser, in the url type "about:debug" Nothing will appear to happen. Now press menu>More>Settings>(in debug area) UAString>Desktop. You may have to refresh the Page for the new settings to take effect. Now you are surfing in desktop mode!

My televisions are not DLNA compatible and I really don't care about HD quality, so I was wondering if the 3.5 port was an option for basic video out. I know some devices used to have a compatible adapter for this process, but thought maybe it was terminated because of new technology. In most phones the 3.5 seems to only be an audio port, but just figured I'd ask.

View 1 Replies View Relatedbeen meaning to look into this for the longest time. i know that our providers must compress our media messages for speed and size. i'm not overly stressed about photo compression, but video i wonder about. where can i find the best info on which resolution is the happy medium between quality and posting speed? i know at full hd that Internet is gonna take quite some time and that g+ doesn't compress either, but video messaging always compresses even when i go down to vga and so. also, i'm always asked to resize the video but i have only 2 options, qcif and qvga. those are my specific questions, but if there is a site with answers to a myriad of other concerns related to media compression and posting i'd love to see it.

I only watched a couple of the pictures while they being taken, but everything seemed to be working fine. Picture showed up after being taken.

Sometimes it would take some time for them to all load and be viewable, that is until I installed an app simply called "Rescan SD.You press the app and it instantly updates the contents of your SD card. There is one picture contained in the internal memeory that I took when I first got the phone and before I put the SD card in it. The SD card is from my old Blackberry. It takes and stores new pictures just fine. The pictures and video are from about 2 weeks ago. I did find a thumbnail that looks like it might be from the video and I set one of the pictures aas my wallpaper. It displays fine as a wallpaper but for some reason it can't find that actual picture.

A friend of mine owns a tablet and his tablet plays the videos on that site his tablet opens the video player to play the video but my DROID RAZR maxx doesnt do anything do I need flash player to play the videos or my phone just can't play the videos on that site.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having a big problem recording video with the Motorola DROID RAZR.I can record about 1-2 minuts and then it freezes.I notice that is seems some audio is still being recorded (as I can hear it on the playback), but the video just locks up.Also, I notice that it boots me out of the camera and back to the home screen.I've tried recording when saving to the micro-card or internal. Both ways are still ineffective.Also, I've noticed that sometimes, when call are coming in, the screen is unresponsive and cannot pick-up the call. I'm not sure if this is related, but I thought I would mention here anyway.
View 8 Replies View Relatedsince ics i can no longer control flash video on the web (sites like blip.tv). the video plays fine but i can't full screen it nor can i access the video controls (pause, stop, position)on the web, when you go to you tube, the video has controls at the bottom (play/pause, volume, and the status bar showing where you are in the clip) and when you full screen it, they're still there. on gb when you went to a flash video and hit play, the video would automatically full screen with the status bar on the bottom (status bar being the time counter showing how much you've played, what is left and your position.) on ics now when you play a video it simply plays on the page with no access to the controls or the ability to full screen the clip.
with Internet i obviously have an app but with web content (news, and blip.tv) it not possible as far as i can tell. sometimes i wanna pause and fast forward or rewind and that ability is now gone.lip.tv is the big one for me, i watch a lot on there. but when i go there now on my phone, chrome won't play at all and the stock brower shows the little cinema logo. when i click the logo, the video plays fine but small and still embedded in the web page. i can't pause or stop without leaving the page, i can't fast forward or rewind and i have have no time counter to know my video position. it's extremely frustrating. and double-tapping does nothing. on gingerbread this was simply automatic. you hit play and it goes fullscreen, you have the video position bar at the bottom (slider that let's you ff or rewind) and a ply/pause button. they would disappear after while and come back with a tap
Just got my phone yesterday but there appears to be no support for video Skype. Does anyone know if this is to force you to use Google Talk or will Skype eventually be working with RAZR.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was running short of space on my MicroSDHC card. I had about 1.5 gigs of storage left on the card. I went to take a video and noticed that I could only take a video in DVD quality or worse. There was no longer an option to take video in 780p or HD+ (1080p). I thought that happened because I didn't have much space left on my SD card. I later purchased a 32G Sandisk MicroSDHC. I thought that I would get back my HD and HD+ video options back after I installed the new card. This did not happen. I no longer can take HD+ video anymore. My settings in the video record mode no longer list HDor HD+. how to get the HD settings back? I tried clearing the cache and data in the camera app, but that didn't help.
