My iPhone 4s will not play back any of the music I have on the native music app. It will playback sound from videos I've recorded. It will play sounds from other apps. I also get an error message "The requested URL was not found on this server." while attempting to view a video from the native video app. The common thread seems to be content from iTunes.
Anyone else experiencing this issue. When playing music and ipod player open, when I want to unlock phone and go back to homescreen, the sound briefly cuts out and goes silent for split second.
I can reproduce this everytime. Just wondered whether this is standard on iphone 4/Ios4. This never used to happen on my iphone 3G.
StepsPlay some music using ipod player with ipod player still open, press power botton to lock phone press home button then slide to unlock (sounds briefly cuts out) with ipod player open, press home button (sounds briefly cuts out)
The iOS music app on my phone repeatedly is losing playback position for audiobooks. I go to the Music app > Audiobooks > BookTitle and get to a menu where I see part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, and part 1 says, below the title/author listing, saysÂ
8:53:58Â 6hr 49 min leftÂ
And I touch the title to start it playing, and it shows the little red marker on the progress bar at about the right position for 2 hours having been played, and as often as not, there is a little flash and then the red marker is back at the far left side and it starts playing again at the beginning. Â
These are books from various sources--today's example was a Librivox download, others have been books on CD, and checking in iTunes verifies that they have been correctly coded as audiobooks and 'remember playback position' is automatically checked.Â
It's a PITA hunting through an 8 hour long recording with only the crude control of the little progress bar and 15 second skip forward/back to find the spot I left off.Â
It doesn't happen with the same titles in iTunes on the computer.Â
Whenever I play music or watch videos, there is no sound. But my phone makes sounds when ringing. Also whenever I turn up the volume, it says "Headphones" even though I'm not using my headphones.
My iPhone has stopped playing sound, the sound is on and it will ring out loud but when I go to play music you don't get the option to turn the sound on, I had been playing my music earlier on today and it worked but I then upgrade to 5.1.1 and it has now stopped working. Is there a way to go back to the upgrade that actually works?
I am new to the mp3 world. I am trying to play the music app through my car stereo using the headphone jack and the cars Aux port. The issue I am having is the vocals are horrible. Can barely hear them and they sound like I am in a empty hall. When I am listening out of the phone speaker all sounds fine. Should I be connecting a different way? Or is there a setting I am missing somewhere? I tried playing with the built in eq but not much difference.
My Galaxy S6 keeps randomly pausing music playback while I have it connected to the aux input in my car for no apparent reason. Phone is rooted on the stock AT&T Rom and has been restored via ODIN twice without any change. It did this before root as well without change. I have disabled nuplayer in the dev settings and tried resyncing my library multiple times thinking it was due to corrupted files. This clearly is a samsung issue and seems to be apparent with older generations of the Galaxy series as well. Having to keep fiddling with the damn phone while I'm driving to unpause the music, raise the volume past the warning, just to do it again a few minutes later. Tried the stock music app as well as doubletwist, no changes. Could this be caused by some motion sensing feature that needs to be disabled?
My Nokia is an X2-00. Can I playback sound files through my HIFI amplifier and speakers (not bluetooth enabled) by feedind the sound into the amplifier via a cable that I would plug to the phone where I normally plug the earphones? Or will that damage the phone?
I've had this phone for nearly a month, but I've only been able to play the Slacker radio app once. For five minutes. I've tried Pandora and SoundCloud as well, even switched between WiFi and mobile data at home and on my university campus with no luck. I just get a playback error from SoundCloud.
Maybe the solution is staring right at me, but I can not figure out how to use the phones internal speakers for music playback that's loud enough to hear? When I use the speaker option for hands free phone calls, it's loud and you can clearly hear, but not so with playing music or a video.
In the last few weeks, my M7 will start music playback (whether from Play Music or my podcast app) at weird times. Not out of the blue, but sometimes when a call comes in (which is obviously annoying since it then becomes a scramble to turn it off and explain to the caller what is happening). Or, it will happen when I give my phone a voice command, after the command is over it will start, as if it is resuming after having paused for the command (even thought it hadn't been on before).
I recently got a droid x and usually when i play music the phone will crash. and reboot. Is myphone broke (this never happened on my moto droid). Im asking because i have a few days left to return my device and listening to music is something i use myphone for quite often.
As I'm listening to music, during the song I'm listening to, another song will start playing, cutting off the original song that was playing. The song that cuts in always cuts in somewhere which isn't the beginning for that song. Then, after anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or so, the original song goes back to playing where it had been interrupted from. For example:
(Song 1 starts in playing as I'd expect, from the start, goes along for a minute or two)
(Song 2 now kicks in, (which stops Song 1), somewhere in the middle of the song, then plays for a random amount of time)
(Song 1 now resumes (and Song 2 stops) at the place it was cut off by Song 2)
I've got a 32GB SD card, loaded with about 15gb of music from my libary. I have tried different music players, such as the stock music player, google music, PowerAmp and MixZing. Problem happens with all of them. I can get about three or four songs into a listening session before this happens. Doesn't matter if I'm listening to all songs randomly shuffled, or an album in order. All the songs that have issues with playback on the phone playback fine on my laptop, whether I use iTunes, Google Music, or doubletwist.
While in playback from playlist, tracks, authors etc phone will display failed and not go onto next song. Using 8gb M2 memory card. Have full formated memory card. Have placed music in root directory or card and in music directory. If you try to play filed song again redisplays failed. However you can forward to next song and it will play. I have tried many combinations and it still fails after each song.
Easiest way to control music/podcast audio while driving and having another app open?
I like to listen to a podcast during my commute (using Podcast Addict for now), usually while Waze is the active app on the screen, but I've been having trouble pausing the playback or hitting fast forward (to go through commercials) while driving. Seems like the controls on the notification bar are too small and there is no skip ahead button there. Maybe I'm just getting used to my new phone, but I'm coming from a Windows Phone where it seemed a lot easier/safer to do.
Anything that can make the controls overlap the Waze app? Or make buttons larger and more useful after flicking on the notification bar?
I have had my 1520 for about a year and I simply cannot get it to play music through Bluetooth without the sound jumping, dropping out, cracking up, etc etc. I mostly try to use it in my car (with a LG infotainment system). It's a dead loss. Making a BT connection is no problem, neither is speaking through the BT handsfree in my car - just the music playback quality.
What I have tried:
.Now running Windows 10 10166 on the phone. I was hoping that changing from Windows 8.1 might work. No luck. Incidentally, when the phone still ran Win 8.1, I tried resetting it twice (on the advice of Nokia support) - to no avail.
.I have, about 50 times, removed all Bluetooth connections then re-enabled them in my car and on the phone. No good.
.This led me to believe it was an issue with my LG car system. However, when I play music through BT with my old Android Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or my daughter's IPhone 5, it works without issue. This seems to point to a Nokia hardware issue.
.I also experimented playing music on a standalone JBL BT speaker. Same problem. Again, points to a hardware issue.
Any app compatible with the s6 that will allow me to long press the up and down vol buttons to skip to next track/prev track, especially when the screen is off?
I am wondering how to adjust the speed of playback of MP3 files. I like to listen to books and some readers are really slow. With Windows Media Player, I can set the playback to 1.4 and not go nuts waiting for them to sound out each word. How can I do this on my Nokia C6-00?
I loaded "Fallen" by Evanescence onto my phone. Initially I was pleased with the audio quality, but the instant the bass cut in, I was horrified. It was noticeably distorted.
It wasn't playing particularly loudly, so it wasn't a volume issue. Turning the volume down didn't help.I was listening with Sennheiser EH1430 headphones, which are perfectly adequate. The audio tracks are 320Kbps VBR from Amazon MP3. The music sounds great through my HiFi, so the tracks are not distorted.I compared the MP3 files on the phone with the originals; identical. So, am I just out of luck, or is there anything I could try?
I have installed the Internet Radio Application onto my Nokia N95 8 GB. With the T-Mobile wireless broadband I can browse stations, but when trying to play a station it states "Playback Failed". When trying to connect through my w/lan (which works, as I can use it to browse the internet) the "Internet Radio Applet" states "No Network Connection". After trying this several times I have uninstalled the applet from the phone memory and installed it again in the 8 GB mass memory. No change - the same problems persist. What is wrong with Internet Radio on the N95 8GB?
During music playback, mp3 from memory card, internal memory, or streaming with App's like Pandora, Nobex, etc., when I receive an email, text, etc. it momentarily interupts the music playback for a few seconds. I tried finding any setting to adjust in the sounds area, but found nothing. Is there a way to turn off notifications during music playback?
I bought the Spiro about a week ago and immediately bought a memory card so that I could store my music on there. The phone did not come with a USB cable (which I find a bit cheeky as people are expected to pay for a USB cable AND a memory card if they want to use it for it's Walkman function - no wonder it seemed like a bargain price!) SO I bought a memory card (SD Micro with an a larger 'adaptor' memory card to put it in my laptop) but not a usb cable as I can't afford it. However, I was told that I could put music files onto the card from my laptop, put the card in the phone and access them from there. Now I have done this, I have ripped the music from a CD, saved as MP3, transferred to the memory card, put the card in the phone, located files on the phone but they won't play!!! It just keeps saying 'playback failed' - whether I play through Walkman or File Manager. I have been looking at the FAQs online but there is nothing that is offering me a solution to this problem. I have also contacted Sony Ericsson Support but have heard nothing back yet. I bought the Spiro for its simplicity but it seems I may have made the wrong choice. So as I see it I have shelled out £50 for a phone and £20 for memory card which I cannot currently use.
I have a problem with Bluetooth. Have installed a fast Scandisk 128 gig memory card. and downloaded my music from PC. When i playback via Bluetooth using groove music some tracks have no vocals!! only the music...
I have a new HTC one M8 and a 64gb sd card. Last week my phone deleted an album that was playing fine. Put the songs back on the phone, played for a couple of days and now says that won't play - "unable to play this type of audio file".
For the last several weeks streaming music has been randomly stopping during playback. Sometimes it will go several songs without a problem and sometimes it will stop multiple times during one song. It occurs with downloaded songs as well. The phone is rooted but has the stock recovery.
I've been trying to use my BB as music player when on the bike.At the same time, I'm running my GPS and utilize the phone function for incoming calls.Music starts up fine, however, as soon as the playback gets interrupted by any kind of command - GPS turn instructions or incoming phone calls, the playback won't automatically resume. Is there any work around for this?
I'm running CM11 M8, but I've been having this problem with many previous builds.Problem is, whenever I'm listening to music using either the Google Music app or Apollo, and I decide to clear the recent tasks list, playback is stopped. I would assume this was by design, if it weren't for three factors.
1) This post by Diane Hackborn, specifically "uses the new API to tell any services of the application about the task being removed so it can do whatever it thinks is appropriate."
And I should hardly think that stopping playback just cos you're clearing the recent tasks is appropriate. One should be allowed to clear the recent tasks list entirely, and see no change in phone behaviour. The recent task list is not a task manager.
2) This wasn't the way it used to behave (I think circa Jellybean)
3) The Music icon remains in the notification bar even when playback stops.
Is this a bug underlying 4.4.4? Or is a problem with CM only?
Last week I got a new phone, Moto X, and transferred a bunch of music into it. Most worked just fine, but 4 albums had a problem. Two of them simply don't show in my library and the other 2 display the following error message when a song from one of them is played: Music playback error - Couldn't play the track you requested.
I've tried clearing Google Play Musics cache and data but the problem wasn't solved. I also cant remove my SD card because I dont have the little key that opens the compartment where its stored.
A volume setting is stored for playback through the iPhone's speaker, and another for when earphones are plugged in.
I have noticed since updating to iOS 5.1 that the volume slider in the Music app sometimes displays the "speaker" level during "earphone" playback when switching between the two modes.
Although the slider displays the incorrect volume level, the playback is at the earphone setting's volume, not the displayed volume.
N.B. I have an iPhone 3GS, and the performance of the Music app has degraded with each iOS update; this seems to be due to the core software growing more complex. It is possible that there is just a very long delay between loading the Music app, it recognising the earphones are plugged in, and the volume slider widget being updated accordingly. I will report back with more clarification after more observation.
