Some launchers are not giving gmail notifications because of a security change in gmail. So far the ones I have seen being affected are Launcherpro, Go launcher and possibly ADW.

I've tried re-installing using the Nokia Software Updater, but kept getting Device Recovery errors and the phone turned off and lost its connection. After reading other posts, I did a soft reset on my phone then re-installed the firmware without anymore However, now the phone WON'T TURN ON AT ALL! When I press and hold the Power On/Off button on the top, it makes a buzzing sound, but the screen stays dark and doesn't turn on. Before you ask, the phone battery was fully charged. My 58000 is totally unusuable. How do I get it to power on?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter installing any new app that has a widget it does not appear in the App Drawer with the other widgets. I have to reboot my MAXX for the widget to show up. Couple of the apps this is happening with is Jango and The Weather Channel. This only started happening after upgrading to ICS.

Sometimes, if I put it into the multimedia dock, fixes the problem.I will need to get rid of this thing if it can't reliably boot.I got the phone the day the DroidX launched, Does that mean I need to pay a fortune to Verizon for a new one (or a DX2), since not enough time has passed since they "subsidized" this one?
Since the software upgrade about a wek ago (4.5.621.MB810.Verizon.en.US), neither my camera nor camcorder work. When is Motorola going to fix this issue? And no, I'm NOT going to do a factory reset for a problem THEIR software caused.

I have successfully established the connection, but often have to reboot the phone in order to get the connection established. At this point, I have been unable to figure out the pattern of when I can no longer get connected. I have turned off all Smart Actions that manipulate the GPS connection, I have tried leaving it on all the time, or off when I am not outside, nothing consistent that I can figure out.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo there I was saving an alien world by killing one jelly at a time when my screen completely quit responding to touch. First thought was my Razr just had its first freeze/reboot but the sound was still going and the jellies still marching toward my precious gems. Instantly realized my Razr was ignoring me. Tried my side keys and they worked as usual, sound keys toggled sound up and down and lock key locked/opened power menu but was unable to select any options as the touch sense was still out to lunch. It's been almost a half hour and the screen is stuck on the lock screen and won't even dim. Which coincidentally is a good thing b/c it's way to much work to pull the battery on these things .

The issue: on a Motorola Droid pro, running 2.3.2, CompanionLink's Outlook sync ran reasonably well, although it required some odd steps which they claim are driven by the OS. After the Android 2.3.3 update, CompanionLink (AKA DejaOffice) fails consistently and without useful error output. The software on the PC side does not recognize that sync has started on the device side -- which is how it's supposed to work on a Droid -- and never runs to completion.
The PCs in question are running either Windows 7 Pro 64 or Windows XP. Both exhibit similar symptoms. CompanionLink tech support has been useless -- by definition, since they haven't solved my problem. They appear to be being slammed with a large number of cases reported and have no plan they're willing to discuss to address the problem. After completing a phone call or when the phone times out, it freezes and nothing will unlock it other than pulling the battery out. If I hard press the power button, the Phone Options screen will pop-up but none of the selection will work thru the touch-screen. While the [Phone Options] screen is open I can open the slide keyboard and use the mice-like button to scroll down and take the [Power off] option. Phone will work again after pulling the battery or powering it off thru the keyboard (at least this will save me the time of removing the battery).It seems that both actions (call and time out) send some kind to signal to the screen to lock it. When pressing the power button I will see the slide bar to unlock it but the screen is frozen and nothing will make it work. Luckily for Motorola the phone's warranty just expired (7/28/11).I have done both, Factory data reset and Wipe data/factory reset (Power key + "x") but nothing helped. I have looked out there in we but nothing similar.Does anyone have experienced this? - As you can imagine this is extremely painful and annoying. I ended up increasing the timeout to the max (30 minutes), but obviously jeopardized the battery life. I have to charge the phone almost every 2 hours.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my Droid Turbo with Android 5.1 for about 6 months and recently it has begun to frequently refuse to charge on either the USB or official Verizon wireless charger.
I can set it on the wireless charger and both the charger and phone recognize each other, but in the morning...no charging has taken place.
I can usually force it to accept a charge by restarting the phone while on the charger.
On day two of owning my X2 I got a error when it tried to read the external SD card. I called Verizon and they had me format it on my laptop. I did this and then reloaded my 4 gig of music back to it. Yesterday evening it did it again and now Verizon is sending me a new card. In the mean time I am using a 1 gig card that I had left over from my Storm. The first thing I noticed is when I transfered the music from my laptop to the 1 gig sd card via a card reader the transfer rate was near 6 meg. When I transfered my music to the card that is bad the transfer rate never got about 2.5 meg. I now notice after listening to music for the last 4 hours at work it never skipped at all. I had very frequent skipping with the original card. Another thing I noticed is the phone doesn't lag at all when I am listening to music.

I've force-stopped the app, toggle airplane mode, and rebooted the phone. Sometimes it just starts working, other times not.

Every time I plug my droid 2 global into the multimedia docking station, it must re-install the software. This is time consuming and annoying."installing Motorola Driver Installation 4.6.0" over and over and over. Is there a more recent driver installation version that has fixed this ridiculous bug?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.
