Motorola Motoactv :: Not Sweat Proof And Not Giving Much Response
Nov 2, 2012
Doesn't seem to be sweat proof. The headphone jack is now dead and when sweat rolls off my face on the face of the unit it will changes displays and will not allow me to change it back.
I'm a new Motoactv owner. Today is the first time I tried to sync my workouts and view them online. It takes a very long time to complete the sync (5-10 minutes). The first time it supposedly synced, my workouts were not uploaded to the site. When I log onto the website, that is also incredibly slow. Every link I click takes extraordinarilly long. When I try to view my work out, I get an error ("Internal Error has occurred..."), and it tells me to log out and log back in. But that doesn't result in anything different.
I try of chose a courses in the golf app but it gives me the error process com.motorola.motogolf has stopped for only one courses ans it's the courses for Golf St-Jean-de-Matha in Canada, Quebec.
I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.
I seem to have this keyboard lag when typing in text box in the browser. So far I've tried this very forum, composing new message on gmail, and on Facebook.
Let the developers know what new innovations you would like to see in Motoactive. Let them know what Apps, websites, hardware features that are out there that you love and would like to see incorporated into Motoactv.
I received a Verizon "CLND" I've had issues with it charging. Not with battery drain or charge time(when it does charge). Occasionally when I plug my d4 in, to charge I receive no response from the battery icon nor on the lock screen. Other times I plug it in it charges just fine. Things I've tried: wipe cache partition via recovery menu, factory reset via settings>privacy>factory reset>erase internal memory, factory reset via recovery menu then wipe cache partition, safe mode, charge while off, different USB, different outlet, different adapter (part that plug into the wall that you plug the USB into), charge at work, charge via Xbox,PC, and car charger. All micro USB's, adapters and car charger is legit Motorola products adapter and USB are factory products received with purchase of d4 and RAZR. I did notice when the device is off the moment I plug the USB into the phone the notification led flashes green once (thinking of the beep codes on a PC). I am unsure as to what might be causing this issue I would love to get this resolved without having another "CLND " or sending it in for repairs
Some launchers are not giving gmail notifications because of a security change in gmail. So far the ones I have seen being affected are Launcherpro, Go launcher and possibly ADW.
I am hanging on the phone waiting for a Moto Level 2, but in the mean time, am going to bang out this post about how awful my first day with ICS has been.I mentioned in a previous post that the install got hung at "starting applications" and Veriizon tech suppor thad me pull the SD and SIM card. The phone rebooted, but it has not been working properly
Has anyone else noticed their bionic popping up a notification at the bottom of their screen saying network error please check the network. It happens on mine just about everytime I make a call and hang up with someone. I just noticed that it started doing it within the last month. I have the latest update 5.9.902.
received a phone call asking why im not responding to the contractors emails never received them told him, checked laptop they were on there but my phone stopped giving me my emails checked passwords and info but unable to get any new emails even had wife send me some
I have an OTG cable and it was my understanding that although this wouldn't give me full "mass storage" it would at least allow me to access media on an attached USB flash drive? Have I missed something?I have File Station and am not rooted
This has been frustrating me for the past 3 hours. I just opened my MotoActv today. I plugged it into my computer, installed Motocast, and set up my Motocast ID. I can sign into mymotocast.com just fine, but cannot sign into motoactv.com. It gives me the message "Invalid credentials. Please try again."
I see that people say they use the MA as a watch. Perhaps it's a problem with my unit, but if I wear the MA as a watch, no Bluetooth, no music etc. I have it timed out at 15 secs (makes a boring watch) and the brightness guite low... it never lasts the whole day before I have to recharge it. Seems a bit pointless having a "watch" that runs out of power before the day is through. If you use the MA simply as a watch (ignoring the silly steps counter which can't be turned off!) how long do you get?
The unit worked normally for my workout yesterday. This morning I tried to turn it on for my workout, and nothing happens. I plugged it into the computer to see if I had inadvertently killed the battery. The white charging light comes on, but the display doesn't show the battery percentage graphic, and nothing happens when I push the power button. The Motorola charger is at home, so I can't try that until after work.
Just installed the Motoactv, all OK except for the FM, it doesnt work at all, earphone connected, it senses the connection since it report no signal when I take it out, but it cant find any stations
