Motorola Motoactv :: Way To Get A Direct URL Link?
Jun 11, 2012After I upload a workout, I usually want to send it to someone so they can see the map, etc. I see the buttons to share on FB or Twitter. Does anyone know if there's a way to get a direct URL link that I can emailCurrently I have to post it to FB, then copy the URL, which is about a million characters long, then email it. I'm assuming there's an easier way to do it and I just haven't figured it out yet

Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

May 28, 2011Just bought an Atrix (I had been given an Apple 4 and was talked out of using in favor of the Atrix)
I was able to install Media Link on my Dell Vostro PC running Windows 7, but keep getting the error message during installation on my Dell desktop running VIsta Home Premium that Media Link cannot find MotoHelper Driver 5.0 (I have removed some of the underlines, etc. for brevity's sake). I have installed that MotoHelper Driver about 300 times, but still get this error message.
What is the trick to getting Media LInk to install?
Motorola Photon 4G :: Media Link Not Functioning
Oct 2, 2011I purchased the Photon 4G at the reccomendation of a friend and sprint employee who spoke highly of it. It, being a Motorola product, left me somewhat wary (nothing against the company, their hardware is great, not so much the software end.) The phone itself runs like a dream, no issues to speak of, yet. I connected it to my computer last night to charge, aware I'd most likely be prompted for drivers and what not, and I was correct. Surprisingly so, I was prompted with an autoplay for the Moto Helper software contained within the phone ready to install. Did so. Updated everything. All was great. I disconnected the phone and removed the back to install my micro SD card, nothing impressive, just a small 4GB I had laying around until I purchase something bigger, if I need it.
Upon reconnecting the device, I noticed rather than appearing as two separate devices, it merged both of them together under the same portable device under My Computer. Didn't know quite how to feel about that, but didn't pay any mind. I'd left it connected for most of today, when out of the blue, Motorola Media Link pops up, seemingly unprompted and for no reason, and starts trying to sync. It hangs, or something, because I only have 2 or 3 gigs worth of stuff on the card and nothing in the phone yet, and it had sat there for at least 2 or 3 horus at the "Loading new media." stage. So. I disconnected the phone, which allowed me to close MML. It should also be noted that around the same time it popped up, the storage units were separated in My Computer, each appearing as a Removable Disk, one for the SD card, one for internal storage.
Anyway. Upon reconnecting the device, MML did not reappear, and the storage units were merged once again. Attempting to launch MML did nothing, I could see it running in my resource manager, but nothing was happening. I rebooted, still nothing. I then uninstalled and reinstalled, still nothing. I'm not sure if MML is the way to go after reading topics of it messing with Applications, still, I would like the functionality available to me if I decide to use it.
Motorola Atrix 4G :: Why Can't Link Contacts After The 2.3.4 Update
Sep 12, 2011Under Froyo, I was able to link contact entries that were for the same person but were pulled from different sources and weren't automatically matched. After the Gingerbread update, I can no longer do this.
In one particular case, I have a contact that was pulled from Facebook, for who I now have another email address. I can't add that email address to this person's contact since it says that Facebook contacts aren't editable. So I created another entry for that person with the same name but the additional email address. I want to end up with one contact entry that aggregates both the facebook and additional contact info but I can't do that anymore.

Jun 24, 2011I have a Atrix and I have tried syncing through Media Link and it duplicates most of the music files so I have two copies of every album in two different places on SD card. It puts them under mobile/music but also under a music. I never set up the file system on my SD card but I did switch it out of my old phone. Why does it do this and what do I need to do make it stop? Should I delete one of these file folders completely? I have already deleted all of the music files on my phone and then synced it again.

Jan 11, 2012As I have read about ICS and the G Nexus on many forums it came to my attention that the notification tones and the ringtones are permanently linked together. I am extremely dissapointed to hear this. I am enjoying my Razr, but wait excitedly for ICS to come to my Razr. Now I am concerned. I am hoping that this can be passed on to Motorola developers and see if something can be done. I have already posted something in the Goggle mobile forums as well, I am not sure if it will be seen or not.Prior to ICS we have been able to link and unlink our notification sounds and ringtone as we see fit. I like to have mine linked in the day to run off one volume control and then unlink at night to silence all notifications, but keep my ringtone available in case of emergencies. Having text messages, email, and various other notifications wake me up at night is unacceptable. I am not sure why this feature had to change. I am hoping it was a gross oversight and can be easily corrected. I am posting this here in hopes that if Google doesn't change it that Motorola can in the version it releases to it's devices.
From reading forums I know I am not alone in this opinion. Many people do the same as me including the 5 droids that live in my home. :) Please moderators when you read this pass my concern on to the appropiate place. I am not a developer so I have no idea what goes into writing the software, but I just can't see what is so drastic in ICS that this feature had to be taken out.

Example: I open the contact "Dad" and then link another contact for him "John Doe" and then it will change the name from Dad (which I opened first) to John Doe. Why is it doing that?
